I think they settled on Maroon 6.

Sin City looks good. But I can't say I'm really dying to see any of those films.

Everything.

It's a god-awful small affair To the girl with the mousy hair But her mummy is yelling "No" And her daddy has told her to go But her friend is nowhere to be seen Now she walks through her sunken dream To the seat with the clearest view And she's hooked to the silver screen But the film is a saddening bore For she's lived it ten times or more She could spit in the eyes of fools As they ask her to focus on [CHORUS] Sailors fighting in the dance hall Oh man! Look at those cavemen go It's the freakiest show Take a look at the Lawman Beating up the wrong guy Oh man! Wonder if he'll ever know He's in the best selling show Is there life on Mars? It's on Amerika's tortured brow That Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow Now the workers have struck for fame 'Cause Lennon's on sale again See the mice in their million hordes From Ibeza to the Norfolk Broads Rule Britannia is out of bounds To my mother, my dog, and clowns But the film is a saddening bore 'Cause I wrote it ten times or more It's about to be writ again As I ask you to focus on [CHORUS] Dring-dring-dring...... [Mind the phone]

Perhaps is just says more about the United States as a perceived place of opportunity.

If it was shot down, then it was the right thing to do. Who knows where it would have crashed and how many more would have died?

At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say

A book store? -
I've only read the Stephen King novella. It wasn't bad. The Shawshank Redemption remains the best King film adaptation, however.

I like it. I'd be inclined to pay more than 50 at least.
-
right. but if that was its sole purpose, then it probably wouldn't be entertaining and if it's not entertaining, then it's not making 100 million dollars. people enjoy watching guerilla interviews Why do you assume entertainment and education are mutually exclusive? Something can be informative and people will still sit through it. By your logic, museums should have arcades.
-
lol. Yeah, it owned.
-
Because Michael Moore doesn't want to entertain you. His intention is to educate. (except Canadian Bacon. That was all about entertainment.)

Even if Canada did support the war, it's not like we'd have thousands of troops there. Maybe like 100, and a couple of planes. They're just far too over-committed/under-funded.

Really, you can't be that naive.

Notwithstanding Clause
Biggie replied to Devil On Rollerskates's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
It's arguably far more powerful. -
I'm a libertarian, and none of the established parties really are congruent with my beliefs.

I'm not sure if I would say the majority of Americans are conservative. In fact, I think the numbers I've seen basically say 40% will always vote Republican, 40% will always vote Democratic, and 20% are middle of the road who vote one way or the other each election. I don't belive you can assert most Americans are conservative simply based upon a single election result. In 1996, for example, would you have said most Americans are liberal? No. You have to look much closer at the reasons why Bush won. Right or wrong, most of those centrist voters felt that he was the best person to run the war in Iraq (Americans have only once voted in a new president during a war: Nixon, in 1968), he was strongest against terror, they believed he stood for family values, they liked his tax cuts (as most people would), etc. The are so many factors, and the feelings among the electorate could shift in four years time.

In an anarchic system, there is absolute equality of opportunity. It's not really the opposite of Communism, but in such a state there would be equality of condition, where a ruling class basically gives you what you need or takes from you what it wants. It's tyranny at it's greatest. The reason anarchy doesn't work is not because people are given nothing by a government, but it's because people cannot function in large numbers without some coercive body (with limited powers, ideally) that can organise the necessities of a political society (such as a uniform justice system or a single military).

;) Not for me.

Please read the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.

Rent before you buy, because not everyone will like the humour.

I agree that he should keep the blog, but allow for comments and discussion on some kind of message forum. Did he not used to have one? It's been a while, so I can't remember, but he would be able to have other people moderate and filter out the users who wish to abuse the forum.

This Is What John Kerry Did A Few Days Ago
Biggie replied to no yu begin wher i end's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
John Kerry is one of the many Senators that gave the president authority to go to war. Like it or not, John Kerry is also responsible, no matter how much he tried to skirt around that fact during the campaign. -
I'm personally not a Moore fan, but a movie about public health care would certainly do well in Canada.
