I found it on good ole, not really working usually, Kazaa lite, just found it when i searched for "Matt Good" (admist a bunch of porn) and had it download over night.. infact not really sure if it was something MG related or infact porn, since it was called something like "MGB Matt Rants - Tits and Ass.mpg". If you have an e-mail account big enough i could probably e-mail it to you (think it's like 25-50 megs, not at the computer that has it on it right now), not sure how easy it is to find, i couldn't find it or any ever again when i search for Matt Rants. But if anyone knows a reliable place to DL this or any more of these, that'd be awesome.

Star Wars all the way. Was a toss up between that and LOTR for me, love the stories of both and think both had pretty ground breaking special effects. Don't really care much for mob movies, i mean i like them, but not my favorite movies. And for your information i live in the UPSTAIRS of my parents house, not the basement, and ONLY in the summers and some weekends! so ha!

Flight 93 Shot Down On 9/11?
wentwj68 replied to Ravenous Yam's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I agree that the likelyhood that the hijackers were the same group were pretty much garaunteed. I know some cell phone calls were made from the plane, Not sure exactly how much information was leaked but I'm sure they could have gathered more information linking them together (ie similar hijacking methods). And while I agree that we needed to be ABSOLUTELY sure before ending those lives, if it was going to hit another target, and we didnt' do anything, there'd be even more lives lost that we could have saved. Either way it's a horribly tough decision, and I'd like to believe it was the crew that put up a fight, but... like i said, either way I think it would have caused the least number of deaths. Just a horrible situation. -
Social Darwanism at it's finest. It's obvious that we don't really take what the UN says to heart anyway (as was shown in Iraq). So I don't see the validity in saying we should get out so we can have our own security to deal with. I also dont' think the effectiviness of the UN should be judged by the fact that some nations don't agree with us. I think the world community is too connect that just individual nations have problems, and those problems that don't effect the world community I don't think are brought up to the UN. Our actions do have consquences, and they do effect the rest of the world, so I think it's valid that they have concerns with what we do. I'm not exactly sure what your saying we won't get blamed for, or what we are being blamed for, but we'd still have a responsibility to our fellow man with or without the UN.

I think just Seriously Serious Free Download/Downloading Blues Agoraphobe

I think Beautiful Midnight was my favorite MGB cd, but Audio of Being is defently close, and its one of those CDs that once it gets itself into the CD player it doesn't come out for some time. And i could see turmoil bringing out hte best in the band, every person would want to showcase their talents and try to outdo each other. Not sure if that's the case, but I could see it happening.

This is moderatly off subject but I remember matt talking a few weeks back about maybe getting some of this rarer stuff up on the iTunes store. I don't have it yet, and would love that, but would do you all think would happen to the market for this stuff on ebay? I mean odds are it's pretty hardcore matt good fans trading/selling this stuff, and personally I'd like to actually own a copy, so I'd be just as likely to buy a physical copy if it was up on iTunes.

Who Let This Happen?
wentwj68 replied to frustrated inc.'s topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Wow it better not be good. To me if it was good, it would be less enjoyable then if it is as awesomely bad as it has the potential to be. I mean yeah, you find your medicore bands, and your bands that are pretty good, and very few that are truely good. But just as rare as the awesome good ones are hte ones so horrible, that no being on the face of the earth should actually like it... this is one of those things that has that potentially... Man i need to hear this. -
I think i missed something with it as well... well I did litterally miss a good 10 minutes of hte movie because our copy of the DVD we rented was scratched up and a good 5-10 minutes we had to skip, which actually seemed like it might have been the most important part of hte movie, so perhaps I shouldn't judge it off that, but I also wasn't in the mood for what it was, and was expecing it to be different. Maybe i'll give it another go after reading so much praise of it here. This time hopefully with a working copy.

I'm on Michael Moore's mailing list and got in my mailbox today a message he sent to all the US senators, who are the last chance to look into Ohio, I doubt much will come of it, but if you live in the US you should attempt to contact your senator, and the letter itself is intresting so I'll post it here "Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 Dear Members of the U.S. Senate, Welcome back! The 109th session of Congress has just begun. I'm watching you on C-SPAN right now and you all look so snap-happy and clean-faced. It's like the first day of school all over again, isn't it? I have a favor to ask of you. Something isn't right with the vote from Ohio. Seems a lot of people didn't get to vote. And those who did, thousands of theirs weren't counted. Does that seem right to you? I'm just asking. Forget about partisan politics for a moment and ask yourself if there is a more basic right, in a democracy, than the right of the people to vote AND have ALL their votes counted. Now, I know a lot of you wish this little problem of Ohio would just go away. And many of you who wish this are Democrats. You just want to move on (no pun intended!). I can't say I blame you. It's rough to lose two elections in a row when the first one you actually won and the second one you should have won. And it seems this time around, about 3 million more Americans preferred to continue the war in Iraq and give the rich more tax breaks than those who didn't. No sense living in denial about that. But something isn't right in Ohio and more than a dozen members of the House of Representatives believe it is worth investigating. So on Thursday at 1:00pm, Rep. John Conyers of Detroit will rise and object to the vote count in Ohio. According to the laws of this land, he will not be allowed to speak unless at least one of you -- one member of the United States Senate -- agrees to let him have the floor. A very embarrassing moment during the last session of Congress occurred in the first week when none of you would allow the members of Congress who were black to have the floor to object to the Florida vote count. Remember that? You thought no one would ever notice, didn't you? You certainly lucked out that night when the networks decided not to show how you shut down every single member of the Congressional Black Caucus. No such luck this year. Everyone now knows about that moment of shame. Thank you? You’re welcome. But this Thursday, at 1:00pm, you will have a chance to redeem yourself. Congressman Conyers and a dozen other members of Congress have some serious questions about how the Republican secretary of state in Ohio (who was also the state’s co-chair of Bush’s reelection campaign) conducted the election on November 2. The list of possible offenses of how voters were denied access to the polls and how over a hundred thousand of their votes have yet to be counted is more than worthy of your consideration. It may not change the outcome, but you have a supreme responsibility to make sure that EVERY vote is counted. Who amongst you would disagree with that? If you would like to read more about the specific charges, I ask that you read these two links: “Senators Should Object to Ohio Vote” —by Jesse Jackson and “Ten Preliminary Reasons Why the Bush Vote Does Not Compute, and Why Congress Must Investigate Rather Than Certify the Electoral College”. I am asking everyone on my mailing list to send you a letter joining me in this call to you to do your job and investigate what happened before you certify the vote. It only takes one member of the House and one member of the Senate to stop the acceptance of the Electoral College vote and force a legitimate debate and investigation. Do you know why this provision is set in stone in our nation’s laws? I mean, why would we allow just two officials in a body of 535 members to throw a wrench into the works? The law exists because nothing is more sacred than the integrity of the ballot box and if there is ANY possibility of fraud or incompetence, then it MUST be addressed. Because if we don't have the vote, what are we left with? C'mon Senators! Especially you Democrats. Here is your one shining moment of courage. Will you allow the gavel to come down on our black members of Congress once again? Or will you stand up for their right to object? We will all be watching. Yours, Michael Moore www.michaelmoore.com [email protected] P.S. My whereabouts this week: I will be on the Today Show Thursday morning, Jay Leno on Friday night. And... the People's Choice Awards are this Sunday night, live on CBS at 9pm! Can we defeat the superheroes Spiderman, Incredibles and Shrek for best picture? A documentary??? Whoa... tune in..."

While looking through good ole P2P networks from MG videos, i found something called "Matt Rants - Tits and Ass" and it says it was capped for Advertising on Police cars? I hadn't seen or heard of this video before, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Just wondering if anyone knows how many of these there are, and if it's possible to get them, and what they were for?

Flight 93 Shot Down On 9/11?
wentwj68 replied to Ravenous Yam's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
The people on board the plane would die either way, sense it was already shown that the hijackers were willing to kill themselves and all onboard. I think there's a lot of coverup with 9/11 in general, but as to if the plane was shot down as itself, other than the fact that they would have then lied to the american people, it wouldn't have probably mattered in the end. -
I'm sick of the way most of the on air media handles this, I tend to try to get most my info about it from print and websites. Some of the bais are still there obviously, but atleast they don't have that self centered tone of voice, and I find I can't keep fox on for to long no matter what they have on before i start getting frustrated.

At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say
wentwj68 replied to failingtherorshachtest's topic in Matthew Good
Bought mine a few years back, I still find myself occassionally picking it up to read certain sections and over and over. Great book, hilarious and just all around great. I got mine at insomiac press I think, but as many people have said, you can get it just about anywhere. -
well i'll join in on the fun. I have a majority of those songs, but worthy is one i don't have. If anyone wants to send worthy or any of hte rarer material they have i'll gladly accept it at [email protected]. Though i fear this thread could just turn into a laundry list of people giving their e-mails begging for songs... but i'm not to proud to beg.

People are obviously entitled to not like something, but Matt Good is entitled to make whatever he wants, and I'm happy he has a wide variety of music styles. I hate when people talk about how their opinion on the music is fact, and that since they think it's bad, your just being tricked since you think it's good.

Sexual Preference Education
wentwj68 replied to cavalier_eternal's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I too I guess am slightly confused as to what your meaning exactly. I don't think sexual preference should be taught to an individual either way. If you mean just presented in like the little cheesy videos or in discussion then I supposed equality would be fine, but I dunno if it's really a huge issue. As for abstience, I think it should be recomeended but not teaching teens about protection and such is both theoretically and statistically shown to be dangerous. -
My vote goes to Seriously Serious, even though I'm finding I'm liking both the songs more as I listen to them more, and the edge Seriously gets might be just becuase it's had a good 2 more days in the rotation over Agoraphobe. And I thought the Free Download was hilarious, but musically it obviously can't compare to the other two and probably wasn't meant to.

How big is the file? If anyone has a way of hosting it or e-mailing it let me know, [email protected] I too am an US fan who wants to see a live show. I was going to take a road trip up to Canada for this summer's tour but family complications arose around the time I was going to go.
-
Wow i'm really impressed with the rate they are giving us these songs, and I am so happy they released this one, since I was watching the video going "Man i can't wait to have that song!" and then like a week later it's up. I'm really digging this new duo, even though some of it is very expiremental, but very awesome.
-
just to clarify i just realized i stoped my last post on this subject in mid thought, but I was intending on saying it's dangerous, and not that it was at all productive and infact works against any change they hope to create and instead renforces a system with little or no checks on those in power, which virtually anyone would agree is bad.

Who Thinks "seriously Serious" Is Seriously Bad?
wentwj68 replied to failingtherorshachtest's topic in Matthew Good
what? that statemet is a totally pile of shit. Of course it can be denied. Whether or not you like it is a matter of opinion, but to state that EVERYONE must think it is shit, becuase of some inherent quality in the song is insane. I for one enjoy it immensely and find it being one of those songs that I like more and more as I listen to it, and most of my friends have enjoyed it, as well. It may not be what a lot of people are used to, and you may not like it, but don't try to play it off like your opinion is the only valid one and everyone else is being "tricked" into thinking it's art. -
Anarchy doesn't work for the fact that people arn't given an equal share. To what family you are born would play a huge role. The only way it would work is if everyone was chariatable to everyone else, which why not cut out the nonesense of assuming everyone will and have a government in place to do that with things such as health care/food/ect. If everyone is left to their own, and someone is born with a defect or is disabled, they are clearly at a huge disadvantage and there is nothing inherent in the system to support these types of cases. Communism is the opposite, whereas the system is designed to help everyone, so the two are not the same in that sense as stated a page back or so. Anarachy would exist only if every human was willing to help those around him, which would work in a utopian society, but, there's no reason to simply not have a system that made sure everyone had enough food/water/health.

I agree with enough of his views to put down a "Yes". This isn't to say I agree 100% with everything he says, but on a fair majority of issues I'm somewhere on his side. Also I believe in a musician/public figures right/role in expressing their views. He's in a position to reach a lot of people, and trying to explain his standpoint on issues and inform people, is always a good thing. So in that way I support his views and voicing of them, even if I didn't agree with them as often as I do.

um... just to clarify, my last post wasn't seriously suggesting they record it professionally. I was infact, making a joke, because of the line in the song: Maybe when they've mixed it it will sound better Can't you record professionally please? sorry for any inconvience my poor joke caused
