FF8 is way underrated in my opinion. And the voice acting in FF10 does not suck. It's overall pretty darn good as I hear it.

Damnit I am missing out. I was into Warcraft back in the day. Not WoW (never WoW actually), but Warcraft 1, 2, and 3. 3 in particular was incredibly addictive because of the multi-player and battle.net still remains the best interface for online gaming in my opinion. I never got into Starcraft though.

I don't get why good games need to be relegated to the PSP. Square-Enix is killing me. Can I get a port of Crisis Core on the PS2 plz?

I don't want to turn this thread into a discussion about Final Fantasy, but I'll say that I'm surprised you didn't like 10, I personally love 8, 9 is great but not one of my favorites, the slutty 10 sequel shouldn't exist, Blitzball is actually kind of fun once you get good players and kick the crap out of other teams 10 to nothing, 12 actually had great gameplay and characters but the story was irrelevant, 11 doesn't really count, and I'm a fanboy and love all the extra things they have done with 7 (including Dirge of Cerberus the Vincent game which I find very entertaining). Annnnnnnnnyway, yeah. 7 is the greatest thing in the world ;) Moving on...

YES!!! I popped this baby into my PS3 earlier this week and I almost pissed myself. It is so awesome. I really don't think there's a more satisfying feeling than stomping on an alien corpse (and having it grab you because it isn't actually dead).

I have a PS3 and I really don't have any regrets. I got burned by the first Fable...thought it was going to be amazing so I bought an Xbox for it ($130 at the time so not too bad), but I don't give a fuck about Fable II. Ninja Gaiden, well, I'd like to play the new one but I can live without it. I'm also a firm believer that playing Final Fantasy on an XBox is blasphemy. This is how I reassure myself ;)

I don't like Apple all that much, but I have no complaints with my Ipod. It's pretty awesome.

Dude, as much as I love 7...I can't deny that FF10 is a better game. You'd be cheating yourself not to experience FF10.

That's a shame. That is a very long time to play and then stop. Well, it may not be the greatest game ever, but it's my favorite.

I am currently playing Dead Space Folklore Grand Theft Auto 4 FINAL FANTASY VII (I am always playing this, honestly :angry: ) Diablo II stole many nights from me, and one entire Summer. I can't wait for Diablo III. I have to get a new computer ;)

I never heard the demo of Silent Army in the Trees, but I always felt that that song should stay acoustic. I really loved the renditions on the acoustic tour.

So we could maybe expect some news from the studio in the coming days ;)

I voted Youtube, but now that I think about it I'm not so sure something that provided us the Chris Crocker (the Britney Spears guy) should be considered "great." Eh, I'll stick with my vote considering all of the great live performances of bands I love that are on youtube.

I was really impressed that Said the Whale was playing such a big venue. And Matt Good was on the bill with them to boot. Good stuff.

Haha. Said The Whale. I totally missed my chance to see Said the Whale when they visited New York. I'm kinda sorta "friends" with the drummer, Spencer (he's been posting on this other message board as me for years), and he told me they were coming...but...I just couldn't make it to the show. I need a physical album of theirs already... But yeah, Said the Whale, good recommendation. Pixies are also good. Try a band called The Hush Sound if you like catchy poppy indie stuff once in a while.

I'd like to see Ryan Adams, but I too would prefer his solo material. I'm not too into the cardinals albums.

I saw the Smashing Pumpkins on November 6th at the United Palace Theater in New York. The venue was really amazing (a church during the week). I don't care what anybody says about the new SP lineup or the setlists or 20 minute covers of Pink Floyd, the new Pumpkins can rock the house down and Ginger and Jeff are pretty much just as good as D'arcy and James Iha anyway. Blasphemy I know. Just seeing Jimmy Chamberlin drum in person is something to behold. He's so awesome. I can't wait until the next tour. I know they will be playing a lot more new songs next time around, but I like a lot of the new stuff they've put out lately so I'm looking forward to it.

Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire I actually hate this band, but I like this song.
