I can't believe I used to use a dial-up modem. If you re-introduced that to me now and said "this is the way you have to do it" I'd never be able to survive. Getting booted every time someone picked up the phone, constant lag, a long time to sign on...man that was just so shitty. I would get kicked from battle.net constantly back then. Luckily battle.net as a whole is pretty stable.

I laughed when you said TOWN KILL. I totally forgot about that...haha... I liked the single player in D1 when to save gold you had to just leave it all over town on the ground.

hahahaha, oh man. I hated getting pk'd Diablo 1 did have an awesome atmosphere, but it was almost unbearable if you didn't have the Hellfire expansion because walking around town took about 40 minutes per visit. In Hellfire they let you go faster.

I think it's just going to give you pre-determined stat points at every level-up so that every character of a certain class will have the same base stats at the same level. So two barbarians at level 50 will have the same base stats. Of course the stats can be different depending on your equipment. And yeah I'm assuming the skill tree stuff is basically the same. It was fun plugging stat points in at every level up, but I guess we'll live without it. The real fun in Diablo is searching for cool equipment.

Gameplay vids look awesome. It's going to be a lot of fun. The only criticism I have is that the game art is less "scary" and more "cartoonish" but it allows for different gameplay elements which is important for a game like Diablo III. I mean, it's basically an updated version of a 15 year old series. I will say though that when I first saw pictures of the game I was glad they kept the general look in tact. Diablo III just wouldn't be Diablo if it had any other perspective or game engine.

I remember reading that they were trying to make Diablo III compatible with many different machines, but obviously we'll have to wait a bit for the full details.

Holy shit I will see you on Diablo III for sure! Diablo II stole my summer way back when. I remember I would always play it with Beautiful Midnight playing on my stereo right behind me. I can has soj????????

I don't know why people feel the need to email him personal attacks. I know he is very opinionated and I'm sure a lot of the negative feedback he gets is politically motivated, but still nobody has the right to send personal attacks. On the flip side, I've read comments to his articles every now and then that I didn't feel were hateful or personal attacks, but he threatened to delete them. I dunno. Weird situation. But as Crusader has just posted, maybe the downtime is just for a new design. Heh.

I did the Prime Time Deliverance cover for that other project...but I'd definitely like to do something new for any other kind of compilation. Problem is I've had technical issues ever since I bought a new computer. I need to get a new sound card. One that doesn't suck.

Hmm, I quite like it. It is simple and fun.

Oh, I dunno. I like the live versions of most of the HM songs, but I think the album versions of Devil's in Your Details and 99% are better.

I thought She's In It For The Money, acoustic and band, have both been better live than the album version. I also think I'm A Window off Massey Hall is better than the album version.

I've always liked The Ocean, but I found that I haven't listened to it as much the last couple of years. In fact I totally forgot about it and then one day it came on shuffle and I said "OH MAN THAT SONG....THIS SONG IS AWESOME" ;)

I hear dolphins are a good ride. You could try that ;)
