I've just always ordered from maplemusic. They seem to be reliable, although I prepare myself for long shipping waits.

I hate that I can't listen to the new album for at least a month on my daily subway rides ;) I found myself singing/humming parts of Empty's Theme Park in the middle of work the other day. I guess it's not that bad. I've been listening to lots of RUSH to compensate.

I'm glad on both counts. I didn't listen to all of the demos, but I wish I hadn't heard any of them because I would rather have just heard all the songs when the album came out (or was streamed, whatever). I'm still very excited about Vancouver either way. Still, I can't think of any other site or artist that would let the fans into the recording/creation process in such a way...so that was all still very cool and much appreciated. *edit* and for the record, I don't think any of the demos were better than the album cuts. Maybe the ending of Silent Army in the demo was cooler, but that's about it. The studio versions sound great. Actually this reminds me. I'm pretty sure there was an organ or keyboard in the demo of Fought to Fight It, but it was taken out of the studio recording. Any reason behind that?

Bad Pennies is so awesome. I want to cover it.

Playing RE5 without a friend is like going skydiving without a parachute! You've got to play with a friend to get the most out of it. I had hours of fun with a buddy of mine playing Mercenaries mode in Duo.

I think of A Silent Army in the Trees album version as like a cousin of Born Losers. Also dammit I missed out on the signed copy of the CD! I totally forgot to check it this morning because I've been busy getting used to a new routine with a new job.

People need to let the music sink in a bit before reacting too quickly. It's very rare for me to come to a distinct conclusion about a song or album on the first listen. It took me a couple of listens to realize that Signals by Rush was one of the most amazing fucking things I ever heard. That said, a lot of people may have listened to the Vancouver stream one or two times and I don't think that's nearly enough to make a very good assessment. *listens again*

I only had a few of the demos and while I listened to them, I didn't run them into the ground; especially after Matt said to try and avoid demoitis.

Yup! It's all subjective. We will all come to our own conclusions. For instance. I love Styx. Some people hate Styx. ;)

The stream isn't even album quality and it still sounds great. Can't wait for the album quality.

Us Remains Impossible and On Nights Like Tonight are both incredibly awesome ;) And of course Fought to Fight It!
