afi - the leaving song, pt. II -
you know what the != operator means in java? not equal to. haha. not like i've seen the movie in question. sorry, i'm coding, albeit badly. i'm really unfunny. i don't know what my pick would be... hmmm. i must check imdb. does against me!'s 'we're never going home' video documentary count? heh. hmm. what have i even seen from this year. dodgeball - funny, yet incredibly stupid. i still liked it though. i'm immature. spiderman 2 - the spiderman movies make me sad. yes, i'm a loser. and they're really cool. so bite me. white chicks - what a terrible movie. this makes me want to gouge out my eyeballs. fahrenheit 9/11 - michael, michael, michael. using the same tactics as bush doesn't paint you in a good light. stop using sensationalism and give me the straight goods. otherwise, it was good. sure, you have to sensationalize in this business, but what the heck. it could've been better. and that's all i remember offhand. note: the only one i saw in theaters was spiderman 2. the rest i've borrowed off people or rented. i only watched white chicks because i was at my cousins and bored. i would never watch such a terrible movie on my own time. so what gets my vote? if i had to, spiderman 2. but i haven't really seen much, so i guess, once again, my vote is null and void.

i'm told dreams are the mind's way of arranging the events of the day in logical order or something. to make sense. something subconscious... then why do i dream of things i don't even remember thinking about? my box is glass. thinking outside it makes shards pierce my brain...

dr. draw - say i am you no, he's not a rapper. he's a freaking amazing violinist. yeah, so it's sorta dance-ish. we've all got skeletons in our closet. i used to be a prozzak freak, ok? i was 12. it's excusable. and for the record... when 'dance'/electronica/whatever the heck you want to call it is done right... it's good. when anything is done right, it's good. actually, right is just opinion. so it's all up to you. don't screw up. -
i don't know about you, but mine make NO SENSE whatsoever most of the time. and when they do, they usually morph into something weird. so share the weirdest dream you've ever had. naturally, i expect we're going to get some 'erotic' dreams in here as well... just put whatever the heck you want. hmmm... craziest nightmare i ever had was... i don't know if you guys have ever seen that crappy batman cartoon/movie they made. i don't know what it was called, but it came out when i was little. like six or something. anyways, it had this crazy phantasm chick, with this crazy scythe type thing. the whole arch enemy, yet alter ego love thing happened, as they tend to in the superhero type things. btw, i don't read comics. but the best batman comics i've seen are the dark knight series from back in the eighties. hardcore stuff. kinda like the punisher. anyways... i had this really messed up dream which scared the crap out of me while it was happening. when i woke up, as with nightmares, you sit and shake, and when you're little, you curl up into a little ball and hate the dark. keep in mind that i was six. as my recollection of the dream goes... we had this old gray chevy. one of those beater cars. anyways, for some reason, my parents took me to a carnival. it was great fun, lots of random games and cotton candy. i remember that our time there was drawing to a close and we had to leave. as with dreams, we went to the car, and for some random reason, that phantasm person came charging out of nowhere. that's when your standard horror movie crap started happening. car wouldn't open, people getting slaughtered, parents got killed, i was running, and the standard, wake up as you die thing. the most frightening part... losing people i love. yeah, that was random and probably sucked. but hey. i also had one where i was mario and i played through all of super mario world. and i had to rescue the princess and all that. dreams really don't make sense. anyways, sound off.

ben harper - burn one down -
i saw the title and got my hopes up. you suck. ironically, i'm perpetuating it myself. i suck more.

wow. i'm so glad i'm removed from pop culture. these are some horrendous bands not even worthy of the label 'artist.' it's not music. it's media whoring. i voted simple plan because they suck terribly. i remember they had some whiny emo single a while back. 'i'm just a kid.' what the f%$@ is that? it made me want to go kill some emo kids. and then go postal on some record companies. as well as mainstream media. and while we're at it, force everyone to listen to the future is x-rated. *note: i mean emo kids not as those who have feelings, but those who whine and complain in that extremely self centered fashion. *another note: i probably fall into that category sometimes. isn't hypocrisy funny? edit: for the record, the following 'artists' do not even create music. hence, what they have created should not even be called a song, however crappy it is. simple plan fefe dobson ashlee simpson britany spears three days grace hilary duff lindsay lohan and the rest just suck. period. and what the heck is with the trend where actors become singers and vice versa? that's just despicable. if you can't do one well (which is supposedly what you're known for), chances are you can't do the other! eminem is just a loudmouth who i don't respect much. and i don't even know who out of your mouth is. hah. i love being oblivious to pop culture, because 99% of it is absolute crap.

avalanche gets my vote. it blows me away every time. although it's hard to really gauge an artist's work. especially when it's as good as matt's. and i haven't really heard all of aob. but i don't think that makes my vote null and void. my ranking: avalanche beautiful midnight loser anthems (if this counts...) underdogs audio of being (i haven't really heard it, as i've said...) wlrrr lotga raygun (i've only heard the single...) lo-fi b sides (fated rules. and the cover's good.) tough call.

How Many Of These Have You Read?
cavalier_eternal replied to Scot's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
let's see... i've read... 1984 slaughterhouse five animal farm lord of the flies catcher in the rye a clockwork orange (my rockin isu ;)) lord of the rings ender's game something wicked comes this way and yeah, i picked those from either list. and i've been meaning to read some of the others on the list. i'll get there... eventually. i tend to go on literary binges. my current novels: the two swords by r.a. salvatore shake hands with the devil: the failure of humanity in rwanda by lt. gen. romeo dallaire edit: and why aren't there more vonnegut novels on the list?
