  1. Girls is such an epic closer. I only got it in Toronto but it's fantastic.
  2. do you mean this one? http://www.nearfantastica.com/bored/forum/8-nf-lounge/

  4. Wow! That's kind of awesome. I went to the Ottawa show in like I wanna say 2005 that was only 50 people at Zaphods and that was pretty darn rad. It was solo acoustic. I wonder what it would be like full band. Now you get to be part of like the exclusive Quebec club. Did anyone buy Bones' signed Midnight Oil record yet? lol
  5. Yup. Sure is. Beer Store. I think LCBO too.
  6. Awesome! You have Twitter? If so, message me day of! My username here is the same on Twitter! I'm not sure what time we're rolling into London but we're definitely going to be there to line up early #teamfrontofthestage My friend goes to school in Hamilton, here's her recommendations : Oh yes. I know places to eat galore! Bean Bar, Bread Bar, Naroma, The Ship, Mezcal, and Koi. Those are my favourite places to eat in Hamilton. As for things to do, they should check out the trails through Cootes Paradise and if they have a car there are sooo many waterfalls in the area. For the nightlife, Hess Village is the main "clubbing" area and Augusta street has a bunch of bars. Hope this helps! Have fun in the Hams!
  7. Won with the app at 3/4 shows. Digging the app.
  8. Oh cool! When we were deciding to add one last show we debated between Hamilton and London. Went with London because it's general admission so we can get to the front. Hamilton is assigned seating. However, I will say that when we were talking with the band at the bar Bones was telling us to come out to Hamilton because it's the last full band show of the tour and its "gonna be something". So there you go. From the mouth of Bones Hillman. Are you guys doing VIP? You don't have passes already get to Hamilton before 10am if you can. The tour challenge is like the amazing race when it's not your own city. Super fun. Plus you win 2 VIP passes.
  9. Haha yeeaaaah. That typo was all me. Which show are you going to?
  10. Absolutely. Still mourning that one.
  11. Didn't realize! Side note: some things lined up well for me....soooooo I'm going to one more show! #London **just noticed my earlier post which can no longer be edited but it should read "he did *come* outside" not coke. not coke at all.
  12. I was goin to say maybe the whole I'm and a dad and have a family thing might play into it too. And I imagine living on a bus for weeks is pretty exhausting. Not the best sleep. Besides, if everyone else goes out, they all sleep on that bus, it's not that big, he'd maybe still get sick anyway. That's pretty close quarters for 12 people for weeks on end. I bet it's a real test of group dynamics too. Though everyone from what I've encountered has been pretty darn chill and awesome, so.
  13. Wow. Just wow.
  14. It's all good. It was validating that Blake saw what was happening and was pissed off by it too. And I don't think I'll over forget his toast of "Fuck those bitches". These guys are the best.
  15. Agreed. The best.
  16. While we were outside in Kingston he did Coke outside to get to the bus. When he did I was like almost startled that we actually saw him cause he's kind of Polkaroo-ish in that you might just miss him every time. (In Toronto I saw him head off across the street somewhere before the rest of the band even came out) but since he was right there this time, I thanked him for the show, said it was great and he said thanks and went to the bus. That's about it lol. He even said he doesn't really leave the bus much. And I mean the tour's almost over and everyone's tired. I'm not the type to impose in any way. I wouldn't want to be in a bunch of pictures if I was exhausted, so I didn't ask any of the guys. It was cool enough just to be there. Although if Matt ever did wanna chill that would also be really cool.
  17. I was thinking about this show today! I could've sworn I remember seeing him play Motorway to Roswell, but I couldn't remember which show. Folk Fest. That was it. Pretty sure someone was wearing a bunny costume also. And my blessed Suburbia. I wished really hard it might pop up at one of my shows this tour, but no such luck. Such a wicked track.
  18. Doesn't even come close to how rude the people were yesterday in Kingston. Ridiculous. Like why come if you just wanna run your mouth the whole time?! Why?!
  19. Adding: Blue die shirt, Bones Hillman original penguin (he drew more for us before the show), Matt's kingston set list. I won another poster with the app (lolololol) but I gave it to one of the guy's that didn't win Kingston's tour challenge yesterday from Instagram. I recognized him before the show lol. Bones was selling a signed Midnight Oil record at the merch table last night too. Also did you guys know why he's was drawing those penguins? It's because he calls Stu "Happy Feet". So really these penguin drawings could be Stu drawings.
  20. Okay. So last night's show should have been so good. The band was great. The venue was weird, and small, but cool enough. We had the misfortune however of having these two girls who talked to us in line, and seemed fine enough at first, get super drunk and it was really horrible. This one girl didn't even know who she was coming to see, had never heard of Matt before, and then got pissed off when we wouldn't shove over uncomfortably so she could be right at the front (even though they had be leaving the crowd and coming back the entire time before Matt's set and not trying to get themselves a front spot or anything). When we wouldn't move for her, she got all pissy and literally spent the entire show from about one or two songs in, pushing us, elbowing our heads, putting up her middle finger directly behind us, talking loudly, so so loudly, and just being a bitch. I turned around to see her pretending like she was going to pour her drink on Kelly, and a minute or two later she did pour water on me. It was fucking ridiculous. Never in my life have I experienced this at a concert. I've run into shitty drunk people but never any that targeted me the entire concert. After the water she continued on the way it had been the whole show and I finally lost it. I turned around the tell her to shut the fuck up and get her shit together, and she still ran her mouth. When I turned around she pushed me again. And that was it. I turned back around and pushed the rest of her water on her. This bitch was crazy. There was no security anywhere either. It was really hard not to let this bitch ruin the whole thing. (Oh side note, when Matt came out stage left for Lions [we were stage right] this bitch who didn't even know who he was pushed her way through everyone and put her hands all over his face and stuff.) Anyway, all this happening and Blake saw everything. He made a point to specifically come over to us and shake our hands and say it was so nice to see us (and apparently, he told them to fuck off also, but I didn't see that while I was shaking his hand lol, but he said he did). such an infuriating ordeal. However, Stu passed me a pick when I was looking pretty aggravated. James did hook me up with Matt's setlist for the night. Blue Skies Over Badlands got played as the encore closer. So it all wasn't so bad overall. I just want to thank everyone on the tour: Matt, Blake, Stu, Bones, James, Sean, George, J(g?)illian, and all of Team MG. This overall has been the best and most inclusive tour experience I've had so far. I also got to go the most shows I ever could which was pretty wicked. I'm pretty sure this is it for me for this tour. but who knows. I might try to make Hamilton work. Now here's the best part. After the show we were hanging around having smokes and trying to shake off those darn girls. Stu and Bones invited us to the Grizzly (or whatever Bear name it had, I think it was that the sign was literally a giant bear head) to grab a drink before the bus headed out at 3. Which was really cool. Stu asked what happened because Blake had told him about those girls when they got off stage before encore. So we got to debrief on that. Blake and the rest of the crew al joined a bit later too (Matt stayed on the bus). It was really cool. I really appreciate it. Blake toasted "Fuck those bitches" for us. He actually said they were making *him* so made he contemplated getting off drums to tell them to fuck off. So once again, it pays to be nice and respectful and polite because people remember you. And they look out for you. That really helped end it on a high note.
  21. Wow! This is exciting stuff. 5. hoping for an Avalanche re-issue though
  22. haha yeah. The swag bag this tour is insane. I think after this show I will. Or once my drum head gets sent to me from Toronto (Amber bought it for me at the thursday show, but forgot to bring it to the saturday when i was there, so is now going to ship it to me) But yeah, the stuff is definitely piling up for sure. And I thought I wouldn't be so lucky since Lance wasn't coming this time around.
  23. That's a great idea actually. Exclusive video content on the app. I mean I downloaded the app the second it got released lol, and have enjoyed some things from it so far such as the album streaming before it came out, the easy access to the tour challenge, and the show check-in/prizes on concert day (I've won 2/3 times so far). But getting exclusive video content would be a big plus.
  24. Periscope is a live streaming app. You get notifications when someone you follow is broadcasting. I think in general the way it works are past broadcasts are left up for a little bit, but then disappear. There was one broadcast of one song for each Toronto night. Not sure if they plan on doing it from any more shows after. Though I do hope they do a couple from the acoustic solo shows in Gravenhurst (or whatever that place is called I forget)
  25. Are you staying overnight in Kingston?
