So this tour so far I've acquired an Ottawa setlist (Stu), a Montreal setlist (Blake), a pick from Stu (Montreal soundcheck) 2 signed posters (I won both) as well as the promotional poster for Ottawa and the promotional poster for Montreal. Pretty sweet haul so far. Oh and the rest of the tour challenge prize. But that's in the mail. I also bought myself the Thomas and the wolf shirt, the ladies' lion shirt, the hoodie and the button set. digging the merch. I also have the ladies' Arrows shirt, the unisex car shirt, the ladies' bird shirt, the hospital music cross body bag, Arrows tour poster, promotional poster from Kingston for the Arrows tour, hospital music buttons (but I lost two :( ), signed copy of Arrows, and the NotSo shirt from last year. Oh and two Jimmy Reid picks (with the bird on them!) from Kingston. And one Matt Good one from Kingston as well (I think it got lost though). I also have one of Matt's from HOPE Volleyball. And Lance gave me Jimmy's setlist from HOPE as well. I'm really kicking myself for not getting the NotSo poster. The posters have been on point.

I saw them when I was looking for VIP. they mail you the prize pack also.

Okay so long shot. But if anyone is from Toronto, and planning on trying for the Tour Challenge would you be willing to hook me up with one of the VIP passes? Will pay. My bus doesn't get into Toronto until 11:35am and surely someone will have won by then. I will love you forever if you do.

Thanks I actually messaged the venue to double check earlier and that's what they said. #phew my ticket said something about stage left section as well. So confusing. But general admission is general admission. That's what they said. That's what you said. They all say it. So it must be true.

here are my tips to getting stuff such as set lists or guitar picks post show: never grab, be polite, try to use the guitar tech, or stage hand, or sound guy's name of you can. This almost always works out for me. (I've only been collecting since 2013 when I realized it was an attainable thing haha) Okay good. I really want to be at the front haha. My favourite spot. The only change was Girls in Black got taken out. Girls in Black was going to close it out. Which would've been amazing! It's a pretty hype song which I think would translate well live!

OKAY SO first off, amazing time in Montreal. I was the first person let into the venue after all the VIPs left from soundcheck etc. Got a spot right at the front, stage right, between Stu and Matt aka the perfect spot. MATT CAME DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME FOR LIONS. HE SAT ON THE STAGE BETWEEN MYSELF AND ANOTHER GIRL. I didn't think he was going to come down off the stage because it's quite high at Corona Theatre. It was amazing. So good. So awesome. Moment and Tiger by the Tail were fantastic. After the show i waited for the whole coat check line to clear out, got my coat, and went over to the march table. I keep forgetting the woman running the table, she also does the VIP and I think the insta, but she's super nice. I got Blake's setlist that night, and I didn't want it to get crumpled or bent, so she gave me a piece of a cardboard box and tape and constructed an envelope type thing for it. She also took a picture of me with it and asked if I wanted to be on the insta, and I was like "sure!" and then she said I might see it but she wasn't sure if she can post it or not (I don't think she could cause it didn't get posted lol). After that I went outside and did my casual walk-by of the alley where the bus is. There was one security guard and 2 people standing by him (1 really drunk lady, and some guy) and then one woman sitting down. I waited around a bit (freezing cold) and the 2 people standing ended up leaving. Then Blake came out and I waved and said "sweet show Blake!" and he said thanks and went in the bus. A minute or so later he came back out, said he was gonna roll a j and come back and say hi. After this security actually left and it was just me and that woman. And then Blake came back out and I chatted with him, Stu came out and over for a bit, and Bones waved and went in the bus. Blake is super cool and really interesting. It was super chill. I didn't wait around for Matt, after I chilled with Blake I left. I figure I got him for Lions already and didn't want to push it. A note about the set list change: I asked Blake what happened with the set list that got scrapped. The original list was reeeeaally long, and he said "Matt does some funny stuff sometimes." and explained that basically because it was a 75% filled house Matt changed his mind about doing Girls in Black. I said I was a bit disappointed cause I was so excited when I saw it on the list because then I would've seen the whole album live. But hey, still was the best. The best show. Such a cool experience. I love Corona Theatre. If you get to go ever, go. It's the best. If you made it through this long giant post congrats. I'm pretty stoked about this tour. I actually just got gifted a ticket to Toronto saturday for Christmas (thank you dad!) So looks like I'm going to Kingston AND Toronto. QUESTION ABOUT TORONTO: My ticket is GA2. I thought general admission was just general admission. But does this mean a specific section of general admission? Also a little bummed that VIP is sold out for Toronto. I would definitely have done it again.

Yeah! I've had a couple shows in Ottawa, and I play at open mics as well. I actually used to host an open mic, which gave me ample opportunity to perform. And I LOVE performing Matt Good songs. Some of my favourites to do. If I'm ever in Calgary I will definitely hit up a stage there. I love performing in cities that aren't my own and to a new audience!

Strange Days is my most played one I think. I also did All You Sons and Daughters, Moment, Kid Down the Well, Guns of Carolina and Apparitions. And 99% of Us is Failure. My recording equipment was basically non existent till recently, so the older ones aren't as good a sound quality. But they have character haha

Update I can see the setlist, he IS playing the 3 songs from CN that didn't get played in Ottawa. I get to see the whole album live!!!! Waaaaaahhhh I'm so stoked The only song he's not doing is Kid Down the Well, which is too bad cause it's amazing, but still!! Whole album whole album whole album Okay update again: the guitar tech (I wanna say...James?) just ripped up the set lists and started working on new ones. No Girls In Black.

Thanks! I actually have one of Advertising on Police Cars going up soon too. Matt is my favourite artist to cover, though sometimes as a simple guitar player the chords aren't always in my favour. I sang some harmonies (not on stage) during the sound check tonight. That was fun.

Hehe two people beat me by mere minutes to Musee des Beaux Arts for the challenge today. Aw well, you can't win them all. Although I will say it was nice to see a bunch of people participating. In Ottawa there was only like four of us maybe only 3. I saw a few people taking their selfie after me here. So stoked for tonight!!

Definitely! I'm hoping to catch Tiger, Moment and Girl at either Kingston or Montreal. I always feel really special when I've gotten to see a whole album live. But I really really am hoping for Moment.

I asked the woman running the merch table (long story, but my boot broke when I was leaving, I had to come back after everyone had pretty much left already and the woman running the table gave me duct tape to fix it... lol) where Lance was. She said if she remembered correctly Lance wasn't available because he was already doing something else, just a schedule conflict. But he's not fallen ill or anything, and no fallout with Matt or anything either. And agreed. Lance is the best. I'll be in Kingston too! Do you have the app?? Because literally all I did was run it in the background of my phone, and before Scott was even done his set I had already gotten the notification that I won a signed poster. Apparently you can win other merch too, but it's probably cheapest for them to give away the posters. So who knows, maybe I'll win another poster in Montreal and Kingston lol.

I'm not exactly sure what the story is. But last year, after I had seen NotSo Private Banter, they weren't giving out any lists, and I begged Lance, but he said he's "not allowed anymore". It also got ripped up on the Arrows tour for Montreal and Kingston, but they gave out the rest and Hope Volleyball too. But hey, whatever. They're giving it out again! I wonder if it's because people fought over it or something?

Operation Set List: Montreal and Kingston edition. ;) Also fingers crossed for me. Since they ship out the twitter prizes, and I also won a signed poster through the MG App check in tonight, I messaged team MG and asked if they might be able to switch out the CN Tour poster they're sending with my prize, for the NotSo one from last year instead. Unfortunately I missed out on buying it while I was there cause I had to rush to my greyhound back to Ottawa. But the shipping if I buy it online is ridic. So we shall see. But if they don't switch it, once my package comes I'll have a second signed tour poster if anyone in Ottawa would like one.
