  1. I've got a couple versions of it if you still need/want a copy. Message me if you're still interested.
  2. Hey everyone, I came across a Blue Loser Anthems on EBay, selling alongside a Vinyl copy of Avalanche. It's already up to 100$ US, and there are 3 days left in the auction. If anyone's interested, here is the page : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MATTHEW-GOOD-BAND-MGB-Loser-Anthems-Blue-Promo-EP-AVALANCHE-Vinyl-LP-VERY-RARE-/201044017590?pt=Music_CDs&hash=item2ecf2841b6&_uhb=1 I bid up to 60, and I think I'm going to pull out of the auction. Good luck to those who bid! ~Jess
  3. As far as I know, Matt is a natural Baritone who is able to sing Tenor. He writes in a half-step down tuning on his guitar and likes using open chords a lot, but I don't know of any specific key he writes in more often than others. I don't know his exact range, and I'm not going to go through his whole catalog tp find it, but I know that While We We're Hunting Rabbits is one of his songs that uses the most of his range (including his upper falsetto). Hope that helps somewhat.
  4. I don't know why this is happening, but I've noticed a very similar change to the classic rock station here in Victoria. 100.3 The Q has been playing more and more new "hipster" music. For example, I was unaware that "Fun." and "Serena Ryder" were classic rock. I have a feeling that stations are doing this since the ones that get the most listeners play the generic pop music, so to try and stay relevant they play some newer stuff. I can't think of any other reason than for that.
  5. Well, I can't say for certain, but I think he may have cut some of the shows for either a sound quality problem or personal reasons. I was a little worried after the Victoria show on the 26th that we wouldn't get a live road song after the way the crowd treated Matt during the show. One of the audience members asked Matt to take off his shirt at least 7 times, and the crowd wouldn't stop talking during most of the songs. The couple directly behind me tried to get the crowd to clap during EVERY song as well. I'm sure Matt has a reason for excluding some shows and I'm sure that those reasons are valid, so it doesn't bug me that much. Hell, I'm glad we got what we did!
  6. Personally, I wouldn't mind hearing the Country album he said he's always wanted to make. Hopeless is still one of my favourite songs he's ever written.
  7. We're Long Gone's now up on Live Road. Personally, I prefer it tuned down like it is live rather than how high it was before.
  8. I can't seem to find an edit post button, but I did touch the cover up and now I think it looks much better. To save data and bandwidth and whatnot, I'll just post a link tho the picture this time rather than embed it. http://tinypic.com/r/rmn0wi/5
  9. I don't know if you guys want a cover picture, but I decided to make one for myself. Quickly threw it together using a concert pic Matt put on FaceBook and some of the text images on his website. I'll probably touch it up later.
  10. Alert Status Red is up now from Halifax.
  11. Does anyone else think that Letters in Wartime sounds similar to Change of Season?
  12. I just rewatched the Day 5 video on Matt's YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiuSy8yL_lU, and you're right. It is a straight eighth rhythm, and I also noticed that I had the wrong A# on the ascending part of the chorus. I've updated the Songsterr tab, but it may take while before it is viewable.
  13. Hey everyone, today I decided to get off my ass and finish tabbing out Had It Coming. I started tabbing it in mid August, knew the guitar part during the verses were a little off, uploaded the tab to Songsterr anyways and never looked back at it until today. Well, I finished the tab now and uploaded a revision to Songsterr (I will provide a link at the bottom of the post). I used the various snippets of song during the recording process that Matt posted on his Youtube as well as just listening to the finished song to help tab it. I may add a vocal line to the song, but I doubt I will since Matt doesn't really sing a discernible pitch during the verses. Feedback on the tab would be great as I'm just getting into the tabbing world (this is my second full song I have tabbed other than my own songs). If you feel as though the tab is missing something or is inaccurate somewhere, please tell me and I can try and get it fixed (I wouldn't hold your breath if it involves the guitar part during the verses. That part was a bitch to figure out). If any of you want a copy of the tab to edit, you can download it by clicking "Submit New Revision" and clicking on the "Current Tab". You will need Guitar Pro 5 or higher. http://www.songsterr...g-tab-s384350t1
  14. Went to see if there was still any autographed copies available, and it looks like they're sold out now. I assume they went pretty quickly.
  15. That Thunderbird shirt looks really good. I think I'll wind up getting it at the Nanaimo show, assuming they'll have it at the merch stand. Not big on the rest of the shirts though.
  16. It's old bearing disaster Yeah, but I've been faster Since I would come around You got all the exceptions In a pile leaving all the corrections Since I would come around It's want ate everything And I'd be soulless saved When I would come around Whole nights caught in a capture So far gone a collapsed blur When I would come around Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Just so we got a little time on our hands Just so we get a little time off, yeah Well I wish I wish over The fail spot pinned to my shoulders Since I would come around Maybe in some other life There's a better feeling for feeling right And I would come around Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Hey Hell, Heaven is a place that you go Just so we got a little time on our hands Just so we get a little time off, yeah Just so we got a little time on our hands Just so we get a little time off, yeah
  17. New lyric video for Hey Heaven Hell went up today. Link here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdu-SG2EPGk I think it sounds really good (I haven't listened to anything other than Had it Coming/We're Long Gone and Guns of Carolina) and I am now really exited for this album, more than I already was.
  18. Is it just me or are the lyrics on the video wrong in the second chorus?
  19. Well, that's not what I thought the single would sound like. Sounds good though, but that was unexpected.
  20. Wow, the ending on this version was really unexpected for me! But as a whole, this track is a great find, and I am very happy to finally own a copy of it. I just wish iTunes could have had it earlier, and I don't think the fact that it was a pre-order thing is the reason they removed it because many bands have put pre-order tracks on the album that have stayed when the album is released, but it seems more probable than anything else.
  21. I might go to it, but I don't really want to pay the money to see him and maybe a few other bands (109.50 $ is pretty expensive). I'd rather wait until he comes on his own, but I don't know yet, I may go after all.
  22. I learnt some of the piano chords for Rabbits last night actually if you are referring to the live version he toured with last time. I uploaded it to songsterr and will be editing it periodically. I know it isn't one hundred percent, but it's still good I think, but I gave it a somewhat cheezy ending that Matt doesn't really play. If you want, here it is : http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/matthew-good-while-we-were-hunting-rabbits-live-tab-s380866t0 for the piano sheet music, you acn view it here http://www.mediafire.com/view/?ly5cwyhv89gd6br
  23. Yes. Some even have overpowering feelings towards pizza. If you could change one thing about the way the government runs your country, what would it be?
  24. The Stone Foxes - I Killed Robert Johnson - Passenger Train - King Bee Jimmy Bowskill - Little Bird - Link Into Your Chain Both are great blues bands with a very unique sound to them. I actually found The Stone Foxes through a Jack Daniels commercial. The singer on King Bee (can't remember who it is, everyone in the band sings on different songs) is a dead ringer for Jimmy Bowskill on that recording.
  25. Trying to sing the studio version of Avalanche can be pretty difficult around the 4:40 mark just because of the weird vocal effects he put in. Lyric wise, I always screw up the words to 99% of Us is Failure when he sings "Black bird come at the break of dawn" I always skip ahead and sing "Black bird come at the break of day".
