  1. Sounds like a pretty awesome show, with some great moments. Edit: and now we have a Pearl Jam thread in the MG forum lol
  2. Love System. Yeah it was pretty disheartening when all those protests didn't stop the smirking chimp. At least he's gone now.
  3. I agree Death Magnetic is a step in the right direction. Someone really needs to remaster And Justice..., give it more bass, it's practically criminal that such a great album has such a flaw.
  4. Sweet! (totally veering off-topic) Fatal and Down are stuck in my head too. Actually anything from Lost Dogs would be sweet live (even though there's one on there that's played pretty often).
  5. Hey, it's cool you took the time to do that. Looks like you're supersizing ambition to me ;) .
  6. Sure, I would see it as a compliment, but I'm not Matt Good, so I can't say for sure how he sees it. All I can do is guess that he misconstrued people's comments as unfair criticism when people were just saying they liked it, but were wishing for more songs and different songs, as fans often do (which, as a fan, I totally get). Was he in a bad mood? Who knows. All I'm saying is that anything in "the comment" shouldn't be taken personally, it was already mentioned he said "it was a stupid thing to post". On an unrelated note (to the thread anyway) I love No Way and Smile but I think in a contest of rare Pearl Jam tracks I'd like to hear Present Tense would win.
  7. ;) I've never heard it put quite that way before, but I agree with all of that. Also, the "yeah, yeah..." vocal and the bass are really effective in the buildup before...the guitar "blows its load" lol. Also, Look Happy, It's The End Of The World is such a great song in it's pace and energy. I think it's his fastest song up until that point.
  8. Thanks for this thread, great idea ;) . I personally enjoy the stand up comedy and commentary between songs. It's what he does. He'll get to the next song soon enough. I also enjoy Pearl Jam's performances (even though I've never been to a show, I have a lot of the bootlegs, and how they can play for so long is amazing), but of course that's a different experience than a Matt Good show. Also, Eddie actually does talk quite a bit (at least between encores), but I agree not as much as Matt.
  9. Well he is famous (infamous?) for deleting posts, switching off comments, etc. He probably felt it wasn't worth the hassle. I personally think the post had some good points (which I can no longer cite, should have known to save it), and as someone else said, I'm not defending "The Comment", but it's not like I didn't see something like that coming. Dude works his ass off, sees thread, loses temper. He's human. As for him implying that our opinions don't matter, I wouldn't take too much stock in anything said in "The Comment".
  10. Yeah for the most part he enunciates very well. An example of the "d" thing in his older work is on Deep Six: "and I don't know where you think you are" becomes " die don't know..."
  11. I agree with your agreeance.
  12. Get On The Snake - Soundgarden
  13. Lol yeah...okay I'll go with Double Life and Jenni's Song.
  14. Double Life is definitely underrated. I would say Rico as well, it's not his best song by any stretch, but I don't think it deserves the reputation it has. I would also say Put Out Your Lights, Poor Man's Grey, Little Terror, Look Happy, My Out Of Style, Middle Class Gangsters, Invasion 1, Let's Get It On, Going All The Way, Failing The Rorschach Test and Jenni's Song are all underrated.
  15. 1) 1 Massey 2 Album 3 Acoustic 2) The Fall of Man 3) We're So Heavy 4) Single Explosion 5) Bad Pennies 6) I Miss New Wave (close one, both great) 7) Anti-Pop 8) 21st Century Living 9) Truffle Pigs
  16. I hear they keep your neck warm ;) . Other than that, I dunno.
  17. As do I, and the movie as well. Right now I'm listening to my girlfriend's voice over the phone...mostly paying attention ;) .
  18. This I like. This I like very much. ;)
  19. That's not an opinion, that's a fact  . I love the drums in this song, and of course Matt's voice, especially in the part you mentioned.
  20. Once. Marquee Club, Halifax, May 29th, 2004. Hope to go to more, whenever I have the money to spare when he comes through NS.
  21. As I mentioned in the other thread, that's a sweet setlist. Anyone getting clips/bootlegs of any of these shows?
  22. I agree with this. And the fucking awesome setlist.
