I've kinda wanted to join but I don't have an invite, nor do I know anyone else on it. The empty room analogy works quite nicely. If I find someone I know with an invite to spare I'll probably join then.

Indeed, but I expected it. Anyone use HootSuite? It's a pretty handy application, you can make your own lists of feeds to follow and track tweets containing search words. For example, from my @mattgood list: From a Sammy Osman (sammyosman), anyone know what that's about? Great Whales of the Sea maybe?

I thought about doing that.. but meh. ;) I've never actually done a mixtape, I guess I missed out on that generation. I used to burn mix cd's for folks at school way back when cd-burners were still expensive, but that went out the door pretty quick.

Congrats Corm, you deserve it after all that. I heard someone mention a new tshirt idea - I hear Matt Good fans are real a**holes. I'd buy it. -
Thanks guys; I didn't really get into Can't Get Shot.. until about 2 weeks ago (finally made NF Fanatic status) and got the track. I've only listened to it a handful of times but it's just stuck with me ever since. @Comicboy; I used to like NAFL a lot more a while back but I've been listening to it a lot less lately. I was just trying to keep in mind the different sounds Matt has made his own over the years - for a newbie it's a bit overwhelming to have a catalogue like this to wade through. As for I'm A Window, it's a personal favourite from HM. But I was close to throwing We're So Heavy in there, and now that you mention She's In It For The Money that's a good one too. Nice picks ;)

Sticking with the solo stuff: Weapon Avalanche 21st Century Living While We Were Hunting Rabbits Can't Get Shot In The Back A Single Explosion Born Losers I'm A Window A Silent Army In The Trees Vancouver National Anthem Empty's Theme Park Empty Road North American For Life It's Been Awhile Since I Was Your Man Ex-Pats of the Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra I think it kinda encompasses a bit of everything from Matt, although I could just recommend all of Avalanche and then he could take it from there.

I just joined Twitter the other day, but not because I want the high-tech alternative of taking a microphone and shouting out my front door. I joined just to follow some people and news sources, which is working rather nicely - I don't spend as much time wasting my time during the day anymore hopping from site to site and getting distracted. We'll see how it goes from here though, who knows where this might end up. That said, is anyone else on it? Or thoughts in general?

I never thought anyone would post Thrush Hermit here; I'm a huge Plaskett fan and of most things Canadian. And I'm not even going to attempt this during my lunch, this might take half the afternoon.

Thanks for that. I didn't mean to come across as whiny or anything - I'm pumped that I'm going to get away from work and see Matt play, and I couldn't care less if he played just Vancouver and left the stage, everything else is just gravy. I went browsing through his site and found this old entry - http://www.matthewgood.org/2008/05/fan-inq...tour-addressed/ - from the last tour. The entire thing is still applicable for this tour as well and is good to keep in mind. I know this issue has been beaten to death and most people are over it and know better, but I just thought his old post was worth a mention. -

I noticed that but forgot to change it in the final count. I wasn't doing a very thorough job with the counts - I pasted all the setlists into Word and found & replaced each song, and since some of them weren't spelled correctly in the posts I may have counted some of them twice. I'm really hoping for some more non-single stuff now, whether it's on this leg of the tour or the next one. Speaking of which, where/is there proof of a second Canadian leg? -
I've never really paid Manson a lot of attention over the years and I didn't pay much attention to the whole Columbine affair at the time (little too young/preoccupied), but I've gained respect for the guy. Like you said Matt, I don't think I could have made it through that O'Reilly interview without slapping the smug bastard. The whole fear and consumption bit is still just as applicable today as it was then. Sad commentary on society, seems history is doomed to repeat itself.

Saw this the other day and I couldn't help but feel like there was so much more other stuff that happened that was worthwhile, like Angela Merkel's win, the Russian-Georgian conflict, SARS... but what else is to be expected? Only 7 minutes and if it's an American publication, guess where most of the focus is going to be placed? Yep.

Maybe she was just waiting for Obama to clear the way? But in all reality, she's got an entire network coming out in 2011 - probably a relaunch or something is in order for the show.

I'm not aware of him playing the entire thing, but I don't know what Matt/Blake would count towards those 42 songs so I threw them in for the sake of completeness. The setlist from Calgary 2 is as follows: The Vancouver National Anthem Great Whales of the Sea The Boy Who Could Explode Alert Status Red Odette Weapon Born Losers Load Me Up A Silent Army in the Trees Last Parade (replaced Blue Skies Over Bad Lands) Apparitions Giant Volcanoes Us Remains Impossible Empty's Theme Park Copied from Shane's post. -

Ok folks, I did a quick tally and this is what I came up with: ---------------- The Boy Who Could Explode - 12 Great Whales Of The Sea - 13 Hello Time Bomb - 4 Born Losers -
My Mind Is Rambling - The Black Keys

42! They would... but that is a pretty good number of songs to choose from. -
