I've been a FF fan for a little while, bought In Your Hono(u)r and thought it was a mistake after a few listens. It's ok now, still don't listen to it much. Similar story for WLRARR, wasn't the biggest fan but Blue Skies drew me in and it gets some rotation on my playlist. Not as much as Avalanche mind you, but more than most other non-MG(B) albums.
I get the feeling Vancouver might be the closest thing we get to a straight up rock album for a CD or two. I wouldn't be adverse to the idea Matt mentioned a while back of releasing a few EP's a year of stuff that he just comes up with, I'd be all over it. But hey, what do I know?
