  1. Nice. I love free stuff. Thanks for posting.
  2. 8/10 You didn't do it yet! mwahaha!
  3. I'm not into Punisher, but the guy who plays Titus Pullo is awesome! I love the Colosseum fight scene in that show..
  4. lol and your liking or disliking them qualifies them as suck or not suck for everyone?
  5. Practically everything there is SOLD OUT.
  6. Quite funny. While all of the parts of his argument seem well-researched and true, I don't see it happening. Maybe Faux news wants it, though. ;)
  7. Wow, I totally evaded this thread thinking it was about the regular old SAITT live demo we all have. And now that I've seen the post on his site about not putting up demos and all of the subsequent comments, I'm kind of peeved. Everything turned into a mess over there, and who are these clowns to talk about posting demos? One guy, named "seriousbusiness" even hated on image boards, WHERE THE MEME "seriousbusiness" came from! Ah, the hypocrisy of the internet. It's everywhere. I also don't want to be rude, but Matt is kind of a flip-flop. I think he'll cave and start posting demos again. A part of me wanted to download the song from that Eli douche, but the more I look at the download page, the more I feel dirty about it. At least if you get it from someone here, we're a pretty close-knit community and you've probably chatted with them before... We keep it amongst ourselves and don't flaunt it around the web. >.<
  8. I doubt Bad Pennies would be on any cd, as it was a joke song for his friend. I don't think he's particularly proud of it on an intellectual or musical level.
  9. Well, I didn't crap everywhere if that's what you mean. haha. I just like the taste. Last thing I ate: Mixed Berry nutrigrain bar.
  10. Right on! I'm pretty sure I had a dream about hair, but I don't remember it..
  11. I've decided that since very few people actually value his existence, I might give him the time of day. Also, I get bored sometimes. Might as well use my brain. Use it or lose it!
  12. creepy.... although I just took a nap and the same thing happened to me! We need to stop talking about these teeth dreams!
  13. Roast beef and mashed potatoes with gravy.
  14. You know you'll have to either pirate or buy a new version of Photoshop that works with Mac, yes? I would consider Macs to be very durable. The plastic case of the MacBook that Prosis suggested can be jostled around quite a bit. My messy-ass boyfriend has one, and it works extremely well, sans for getting a bit dirty (buy canned air!). That said, I've heard Mac is getting rid of the plastic case and turning them all to titanium or metal composite like the MacBook Pro's. This isn't really a problem, as it's just as durable - just be prepared for a slight price increase if you don't get your laptop in the near future. The actual Mac system might in fact be more durable because it is less susceptible to viruses, but then again if you are using lots of Windows ported programs, the Macintosh hard drive or even the RAM can become corrupted. Still, if you can afford the extra few hundred dollars to shell out, I would highly suggest a Mac (with virus software for the lulz), if only for their sleek design and to use for graphics work. I dunno why it would be better, personally, but a friend of mine that does graphics decided on the Pro model rather than the regular MacBook. I guess it depends on how much you'll be working with it.
  15. Sorry to hear about your concussion. In response to your second paragraph, I can see where our opinions may not have meshed. By U.S. law, Canadian law, or that of most democratic nations, the age of consent and legal marriage age are often higher than the age at which a person experiences puberty. We could all go around saying "Egyptians married and popped 'em out at 12! It's all good!," but you and I both know that's bullshit. While these actions can be physically done, and puberty is a technical and biological determinant that someone has "come of age," we must recognize that in today's world (and I'd wager the world of most time-frames) 12 year olds are mentally incapable of a lot of things and highly susceptible to a slew of hogwash. You've got me there; Islamic churches and Mormons are employing some wacky logic when they say 11 year olds are A-OK to be married off. I certainly didn't have the intellectual chops to make financial or family planning decisions when I was that young. It doesn't make you right that religion breeds pedophilia, but it makes you right on something, at least. Now, when you say priests have been accused of abusing, let's remember that anyone can accuse anyone of anything. Just because some priests have been accused doesn't mean they did it (ever read John Patrick Shanley's "Doubt"?). You say that "many" take advantage of the opportunity placed before them to abuse young people and that it's "reasonable" to say that "a lot" of priests have been pedophiles. With between 0.2 and 4% accused, is this really something "we know"? Additionally, making an analysis of the microcosm and transferring assumptions to the macrocosm is illogical and fallacious. The fact that a small number of celibate, religious people enact pedophilia upon others doesn't mean religion breeds pedophilia. It only proves that a religious person who choses to be celibate can become frustrated and commit these acts with the readily accessible altar boys. Frustrated celibate people could also go get themselves a hooker or fuck a nun, but is anyone reporting that? Nah. It could even be that neither religion nor celibacy are the determinants here, as I'll discuss later. I'd wager celibacy is more of a determinant, though, not religion; it's just that most celibate people chose to be so as a result of their religious beliefs. If you're going to say that "religion caused them to be celibate, so it's religion's fault," then say that all you want - it doesn't make it true. The margin of any religious persons to be pedophiles is hardly large enough to say there is a propensity for pedophilia to occur, or that it is common. All of this is like saying that I know one douchebag from Ontario, thus all people from Ontario must be douchebags. Likewise, some black people adore fried chicken, watermelon, and Kool-aid (as the stereotype perpetuates), so all black people must adore these things. In reality, neither are the case. Taking the smallest minutia to the aggregate level without proper research doesn't get you any kudos. I'm not going to touch on your last paragraph, because it's obvious that someone in most other professions doesn't have the requirement of celibacy. We can determine that without your help. Finally, let's debunk everything you just said. Do you think that homosexuals chose to be homosexuals? Just woke up one day and said "dude, I like dudes!"? On the contrary, it has been proven that there are genetic links. Accordingly, it has been proven that pedophilia is a mental disorder with biological determinants. That's why rehab programs for pedophiles rarely work. These people are biologically attracted to children and the only proven way to suppress their urges entirely is to castrate them and/or inhibit their sex drives with medication. People who are pedophiles would have acted on these tendencies whether they became priests or not. If Pedophile A is a CEO of Apple, he's still gonna fuck kiddies. Lastly, what doctrine states, "God came down and told the people 'RAPE CHILDREN!'"? Again, just because some sects of Christianity or Islam do the nasty with youngins' doesn't mean that the religious doctrine says it's ok, or that the religion itself breeds pedophilia. Pedophiles are predisposed to these things, they act on them - it happens. It's the people, not the religion.
  16. I'm not offended in the slightest. Rather, I'm exhausted in many ways. You are akin to a moral fag due to the fact that you admittedly sit there idly when people beat you down, but opposite to him in your views. It is quite frustrating to be at the opposing end of your big stick. I didn't say there was no use for absolutes (I think there is, or I wouldn't be debating with you); I said that maybe you should employ less absolutism if you want a larger and less hostile viewership. But it seems you recognize what you're doing, so well done and well said. Keep it coming. I trust you to come up with something interesting.
  17. So are you guys boycotting?
  18. I dunno if it's commonly accepted, but I learned it in AP psych and my prof was in Mensa.. I was given a bunch of dream symbols and their meanings. Pretty interesting stuff. I found these online: http://www.dreammoods.com/cgibin/teethdrea...arch=teethintro http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art10573.asp http://www.mythsdreamssymbols.com/dsteeth.html http://predictions.astrology.com/dd/teeth.html Basically I looked up "teeth dreams" in google. Of course it's all just speculation. But these dreams can be very unnerving. Especially if you look in the mirror in the dream and see messed up teeth/missing teeth but your real life body can FEEL your normal whole teeth. o.O
  19. haha well I started watching the Daily Show about 4 years ago and I think that he has deteriorated a bit even since then. Especially in the hair. Darn. muscley!:
  20. That happens to me a lot. Dream psychologists say it has to deal with you being ashamed of some part of your physical appearance.
  21. Well, I don't mean to say I dislike him. I'm just not well-acquainted with his work. I have to admit that even without prior Bruce Campbell obsession, the thing about "Evil Dead" shampoo and the utter campiness would make it fun to see. Ah, camp movies about actors who made camp movies. Yeah, all the guys you listed pretty much look like crud now (if they didn't before!). But I'm sure you still have a soft spot in your heart for them. ;)
  22. I had a dream that John McCain was teaching me college biology. My lab group and I thought we could use a video I previously made for high school biology as our assigned project (this is a real video; if you want to laugh at really dumb acting go here, , and here, for part 2). What we didn't know was that McCain said the video had to be 2 minutes. My old video was about 19. We asked for more time and he said ok, but only if we took him out for squid tempura and other delicacies. I paid for it all and we got time to make a new video. The meal was outside (kind of like the UnBirthday Party in Alice in Wonderland) and had those rectangular metal serving pots like they have at potlucks. The waitresses were all Asians wearing maid outfits. We made the new video afterwards. All was well and McCain gave us an A. He sat on a throne outside of a haunted house as the dream came to a close.
