I think it's a personal thing. It's up to you whether you continue to support an artist or not. People mess up and do things that are wrong often. It's in everyone to forgive them for that or not. It also depends on the scale of the infraction. Personally, I have a hard time separating those thoughts of what that particular person did every time you see them or hear their songs.

My local radio station is airing separate interviews with both Raine and Matt today. They teased a clip where Raine says that you should expect the two artists to collaborate on songs together live while on this tour. So it sounds like you could hear Raine on some MG stuff, or vice versa. If you happen to be one of the select few going to see a show on this tour. http://www.fm96.com/2017/11/24/listen-raine-maida-from-olp-and-matthew-good-chat-with-dunner-about-their-2018-co-headlining-tour/ I haven't listened to the full interview, but it should be in here.

I never thought about it until you mentioned it, but yeah. Huge Deftones fan back in high school.

I'm sure most will be sell outs. For London, the Budweiser Gardens holds about 10k for hockey. They do an intimate setup for smaller acts that they're doing for this tour. They basically put the stage at center ice and only use one end of the arena. Works pretty well to make it intimate for such a large space. Not that he's here anymore (thanks to whoever ruined that), but I would certainly pay $120 for an acoustic show as described as well. I'm personally not sure if I want to pull the trigger on this one. If Matt is optimistic that he can do two tours this year, then I might hold out for a headlining one. If I do go, it definitely won't be with the VIP. No offense to anyone involved, but that's a big ask for what you're getting.

Fairly close to what London's prices are. The presale codes are active on MG's site.

Last year was pretty warm, so we're probably due for a constant dumping this year. March usually isn't too bad, but it's sort of a variable in terms of what the weather will be like. There's supposed to be an email coming, and if you check the Show page, there should be one listed there tomorrow as well.
-
It starts tomorrow according to the link tab on his website. Still no info on the VIP. The link just goes to a holder page on the VIP provider's website. According to the radio here, it's a co-headlining tour. So hopefully equal time Matt and OLP.

It's happening!! From Facebook: Our Lady Peace & Matthew Good - Tour Across Canada Matt and his band will be heading across Canada with Our Lady Peace in the new year! Tickets and VIP packages will go on sale Friday, November 24th at 10am local time! Tickets for the tour will be available here - http://bit.ly/MGOLPtour VIP packages for both artists will be available here - smarturl.it/OLPMattVIP See you on the road! ~Team MG Starts in March, and there's 20 dates, but none in the States for the US people in here...

I would imagine if OLP is the headliner that there will be some shows in the States. I would definitely go to a show with both of them on the bill. Hopefully this is not the only tour that Matt will be on this year, as I'd really like a full set showcasing Matt. An OLP tour would probably be fewer dates than Matt would do.

The Vancouver tour was the first time that I was really blown away by Stu. I don't know if that was his first tour with Matt or not, but Great Whales of the Sea is one of my favourites because of seeing it live. Stu going nuts on the extended outro they did was so incredible. I wish that album, as a whole or individual tracks from it, got more love. I'd rank that album pretty high on my list.

I wish I had gotten into his music earlier. My brother has been a fan for a lot longer than me, and I missed out on a lot of good shows. Never saw the original MGB perform. I always liked his music, but never really got into it, apart from what was on the radio. I think I really got into it just after In A Coma, and haven't missed a tour since.

What Videogame(s) Are You Playing Right Now?

COD WWII is much better than last year's game for sure. It's nice to not have people jumping and gunning as much with the setting's limitations. -

It's not too hard, although if you've never played a game in the series, you might have difficulty with it. A big part of the game is being stealthy, so if you can master that, you don't necessarily need to be great at combat. I'm already in Alexandria and I'm only a couple of hours in. The series itself is a pretty fun one to play. I'd recommend starting with Syndicate. It came out two years ago, and is based in the Industrial Revolution. Pretty fun game, and a good primer to getting used to the series. -
This is a random question: In the 80's, when fadeouts were standard practice on albums, what did artists do live in concert? I'm a little young, as my first concert was in the 90's, but were they abruptly ending, or was the engineer dropping the levels at the end of every song? It occurred to me last night as I was driving and listening to the new record. What is Matt going to do on this tour?

I'm not a big sci-fi fan, but the visual style alone was enough for me.

It's actually not as bad as it looks. You don't necessarily have to target specific body parts, or at least I haven't seen any of that. I just hammer the shit out of them until they die. I hate microtransactions because you already pay enough for these games. I don't really think you need to pay more just to unlock stuff in the game. DLC also bugs me, but not as much. -
This might be a discussion for the economics post on here, but this isn't an uncommon problem for musicians these days. One of my favorite bands, The Reason, is on an indefinite hiatus because they had one disastrous tour where a bunch of stuff went wrong, cumulating in their van being totalled. The lead singer, Adam, has been a bartender at a place in Hamilton for years now, just making money to support his dream of being a successful musician. A friend of mine was the drummer in Baptized in Blood, a fairly popular metal band for many years. He had two jobs all while being in the band to support his family and himself, just to make money. These guys played some big shows across the world. I'm happy to pay what we're paying now to see Matt in this incarnation. I would pay more to hear an acoustic show, or whatever other options there might be. I'm probably not in the majority here though. The casual fan isn't going to pay $100 to see Matt play when all they know are the radio hits. Most people are only going to pay $40 to $60 to see a show. I would have paid the $100 or whatever to see the winery show if it had been close to here. The problem is us die hard fans aren't going to fill the venue every night on a tour at a higher price. Bringing it back on topic, I rewatched the live stream and really enjoyed the live performances that I skipped over last time. The shows on this tour will be really good.

I've always heard models, but I have different feelings on how you interpret the song depending on which type of models he's talking about.

It's funny, I always associate the fall with MG. There's usually a new album and tour, so his music triggers the feeling of fall for me.

What Videogame(s) Are You Playing Right Now?

I finally unlocked the hidden blade that's so familiar to the series, but it took longer than I would have liked. Like I said before, it wouldn't be so much of a culture shock to get used to if I hadn't just played Syndicate for two weeks prior to the release. It does get easier to use as you level up. I found the spear to be a very effective weapon. -
It wasn't a great way to end it, but I really liked the show overall. Bit of a wait for the new season though.

The fighting system is the only thing that I'm not sold on too. It feels weird, and I don't know if it's just because I replayed the last AC before buying this one. Good overall so far though. -
I found that pretty interesting when I saw it. It changes the perspective I have on some of his songs. Fine Art of Falling Apart for sure. Some of his songs are obviously about a girl, but this brings new meaning to some other songs. Matt seems to be a lot more open with what's going on in his life lately. There's a post more recent than this one about a chair that's quite revealing. Perhaps it's cathartic for him to get it out there. I can't relate to what it's like to deal with the publicity of it all.

Picked up the newest Assassin's Creed. It's pretty good so far. Also Super Mario Odyssey. Pretty good too.
