I just recently finished Life After God by Douglas Coupland. It's the fourth book by Coupland that I've read, and I finished it in a pretty short period... a day or two of reading on and off. I loved it. Currently reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, which is going very well so far.

I think I'd heard of NetFlix at one point, but I quickly forgot about it. Happens. Download. If enjoyed, buy. If not, delete. Without a doubt Wikipedia. I rarely go on YouTube and Facebook, though occasionally handy, I could easily do without. Wikipedia enriches my basic knowledge on subjects that I have an interest in. I end up using it nearly every day.

Christmas and socks: It's cold out, so it's nice to get some new ones that keep your feet warm better than your old worn out ones.

Does sound like a power supply issue, I should think, and they're relatively easy/cheap to replace so it's a relatively good thing to do if you can regardless. Also, the power outage may have affected your computer even with a surge protector on the line. From my electricity instructor, most only work for a few surges before they basically "wear out" and let anything through. I have a surge protector for my computer, but after three or four power outages it was done. I didn't know this, as it was before I took my electricity class, so magically one day a power outage (actually, I believe it was the resulting surge when the power came back on) fried my motherboard and (it seems) video card. For complete power protection, get a UPS if you care to and can afford it. Just don't plug your printer into it if you do.

Regina. Though I enjoy Feist, I know more material by Regina and can say that I quite like all of it.

I've really gotten into the Smashing Pumpkins over the past year or two, I think my favourite songs are Zero and Perfect. However I have to say that I have no interest in their newest album. That single "Tarantula" was kind of a piece of garbage.

Does this mean to say that you're not a fan of the song? While we're on the subject of spelling errors, lit => list.

I don't think it's that odd for him to say budget negotiations aren't an option. Harper knows that they're willing to bring him down and govern as a coalition, he has to know that they aren't going to screw around. They were ready to bring him down a week ago, so the proroguing of Parliament and being able to table a budget is his one chance, and he only gets that one chance to stay in power. Considering what he'd been trying to pull, he doesn't really deserve it and should be thankful that the Coalition parties didn't decide to just vote down his budget no matter what it contains. At the same time, hearing the budget and considering it before voting on it makes the Coalition parties appear less power hungry and more concerned for the well being of Canada.

That paragraph is the punchline to an eight year joke. And yet, the words he speaks right before the quote in the OP may be the most eloquent thing he's ever said. He believes that he prays to the same God as Muslims, and God is not narrow but loving and accepts several ways to him. Through the quote above, he is a hypocrite. But also, this interview shows a nearly unseen or unreported compassion in him. The man would've been better suited as a small town pastor than the US president.
