  1. This thread just annihilated my evening and the walk I was going to take earlier.
  2. My last tank, I got a little better than 8.5L/100km, split about 50/50 city (if not more city) and driving aggressively from time to time. I've done much better strictly highway cruising. '87 Toyota Celica GT-S
  3. Thanks for putting it all back up... I was never huge on the comments, but your site still worked its way into my daily or near-daily reading roster. I'm very glad you aren't keeping it down.
  4. That is one awesome track. I'll probably end up buying this album in CD and vinyl formats, so far it seems worth it... and I know I'll listen to it enough to destroy the vinyl version very quickly.
  5. Yeah, it's a simple proportion. 11L/115Km = xL/100Km Just in case you wanted to do this several times to find an average, vary your driving style, etc. Solve for x, and as Crusader mentioned, you're at 9.57L/100Km.
  6. According to media reports, none. According to logic, thousands.
  7. Even if it would work, based on the previous statements, I haven't had my bass nearly long enough to contribute something useful.
  8. So that's what it means when people feed bananas to their kitties...?
  9. I think there's a couple self-righteous fundamentalist atheists in my class... I distinctly recall one saying that "Anyone who believes in God is a fool". Not only is that insulting to the moderately/sanely religious out there, but it's also just really poor debating. Does not help to advance your argument at all. Also, from FSTDT: Whether or not rape is a sin depends on how it was done, if it was done in accordance to God's will in order to punish sinners then it is ok. If it is for some other reason then it is not. Gavinder, Christian Teen Forums [Comments (78)] [2008-Feb-26] Umm... what?

Probably would've been if she wasn't... you know... dead and all.

    Dreams

I had a dream last night... it has two parts. The first is that I owned a Caterham 7, which I would absolutely love, and while it was in a parking lot it was stolen. The second part, I was in a computer lab of sorts, must've been at school. This girl comes in with a gun, and announces she is holding us hostage for... some reason. She's standing there shouting at us, and I start giving her lip from across the room. The exchange goes to a point where I mockingly say to her that I think she's cute. She says that she thinks I'm cute too, in a mocking way, and bounces happily over to me and shoots me in the gut, point blank. It doesn't really hurt me, though I'm bleeding, so I pin her against the wall and choke her to death.
  12. Red wine eaten with chocolate chip cookies... i quite enjoy eating these together... Just don't dip the cookies.
  13. One Week. Have to say that I quite enjoyed it. Found the narration particularly humorous at times.
  14. I think you could probably write a bit about how some papers succumb to a local viewpoint. For instance: in some cases it seems that every columnist and editorial has the same opinion about a given topic as the rest, as any opposing viewpoint becomes the victim of the views of the guys on top and pandering to the prevailing local bias to help sell subscriptions. That, or the presence/lack of journalistic integrity in general.
  15. At first I thought I was about to be told my account would be deleted if I didn't send this thread to 25 friends... Cool idea, do wish it were available in Canada.
  16. Constantines - Kensington Heights Dick MacInnis - Everything You've Heard About Love Beck - Stereopathetic Soulmanure (vinyl - and completely fucked up) Beck - Mellow Gold Simon and Garfunkel - Bookends (vinyl)
  17. Pride & Glory, which was... better than I'd expected.
  18. Let the Right One In, which was an amazing film. If my local HMV isn't getting any in when it comes out on DVD, I'm ordering a copy.
  19. Rosemary's Baby. Which is absolutely awesome.
  20. Tonight I saw Confessions of a Porn Addict. Quite funny. It stars (and was created by) Spenny, that's right, Spencer Rice of Kenny vs Spenny.
  21. Smashing Pumpkins - Again, Again, Again (The Crux) The American Gothic EP kicks the shit out of Zeitgeist.
  22. I laughed a lot at it and I love Zoey Deschanel so I thought it was pretty good, though it does have quite a few typical Jim Carrey moments. Tonight I saw the movie Doubt. Enjoyable, strong performances by Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
  23. At work this summer I brought many CDs to listen to, and I had a co-worker comment that I looked like Beck on the cover of Sea Change. I've also been told that I remind a lot of people of the writer kid in Almost Famous, but in more of a mannerisms than looks way.
