  3. Yah this is totally news to me, why the hell isnt this being covered? Oh thats right the media f-ing blows..
  4. Yah through an IP number its really not hard to find a general location like that.
  5. hehe i remember seeing the original video clip of that girl, seeing the follow up was pretty hilarious "no i think your wrong, i think canada did send troops to vietnam" heheh. funny times
  6. Its freakin awsome id suggest ppl buy it if they have a little extra cash, its a bit more expensive but you know there is no middle man and the crop producer sees more profits and not the companies as much.
  7. I definatly agree, George was the best, and now the useless banter drives me insane, its funny that this thread is on here i was just talking to some friends about it. Does anyone know the time that George's show starts? what day etc?

  10. Anyone who lives in Ottawa and wants to participate in some protesting of the inauguration you can contact myself at: [email protected] and I will put you into contact with one of the organizers for further information on where, when all of that fun stuff.
  11. I would have to agree, infact Canada's got a party for just about any political standpoint, there is the marxist-leninst party, green part, marijuana party, the list goes on and on and on, whether or not they get a lot of votes there is still at least three dominant partys.
  12. hahaha crazy Nader, i really like the guy, if in the very least can be funny. Personally i dont think there is a real choice in the US so if i were a citizen i would have voted for Nader, even though there were no possible way for him to win.
  13. Some people have been mentioning how they hate FOX and CNN for being biased and really taking this horrible disaster and using it for ratings etc. I choose to use indy media instead of these major news networks, I take into account of course as many news sources as possible, but id highly suggest finding a good indy media site that you trust and checking it out for news they wont tell you about in these major news networks.
  14. To me selling out is allowing your executive producers to alter your art to create a wider market value. In other words going from hard punk, to popy punk in order to reach a wider audience, to thus, make more money. Obviously most things are done for money, including art, but I feel you should be making art for yourself and your fans, not the execs.
  15. What i meant by conservative democrat was that he was right of centre lol But i do see how saying "conservative democrat" is illusive ;)
  16. Social Darwinism I feel is not really what you can call your opinion. For it to be social darwinism each state would have to have started and continued to be seperate from one another. This simply is not what has happened in history and never will. To all of a sudden stop helping or hindering other countries would be detrimental to both the U.S. and the other states that are apart of the UN. I agree that the UN is basically useless, but to allow countries to figure things out for themselves would mean that the US would have to end trade relations with every state it currently feeds and exports off of. Because of course, if there isnt enough oil in the US, its the US's fault and can figure it out on its own right? And If its in need for some lumber than maybe they should start planting some tree's now right? The impression im getting from your post is that the US should be able to do whatever it wants in order to survive, but must do nothing to help any other country with its problems. And then subsequently not get blamed for its actions. The ironic thing is that this is what largly has been happening, first world nations in general have been rapeing countries for years and not really getting blamed for it, and at the same time, largly allowing them to figure out there own problems. Of course we help out a little bit, but in the grand scheme of things is not relative to what these countries have given us. For example, the amount of wealth that was made in the US as a result of slavery is quite large. Now if we put that amount of money into helping aids in Africa would that be equal in trade? I think it would be, but the point is, we don't do that do we? Infact looking at some of the numbers: "Black Equity In The U.S. Slave Industry In a paper published two decades ago in the Review of Black Political Economy, Jim Marketti, an economist sought to calculate the income appropriated from blacks during slavery. Using the tools of capital theory and historical data on the slave population and the prices paid for slaves over the period of slavery in the United States, Marketti concluded that the then present day value of unpaid black equity in the U.S. slavery industry reached between $448 billion and $995 billion. This estimate did not include the contribution of blacks as labor and capital to the development of the United States. Marketti argues that the $448-$995 billion in black equity should be seen as the baseline amount of exploited income that was deposited in the nation's social bank account where it has been and should continue to draw interest until it is repatriated. What price slavery? A minimum of $448 to $995 billion plus interest compounded until reparations are paid!! Julian Simon's and Larry Neal’s estimates ranged from $96.3 billion to $9.7 trillion!"-What Price Slavery? What Price Freedom? By Howard Dodson
  17. I knew since i saw her in PMK when i was little that she was going to be beautiful. And she is ;) I liked the movie enough to buy it previously viewed at blockbuster! haha not quite enough to buy it brand new.. but it was good!
  18. Same thing happened in 2000, his win was confirmed quickly. Im not saying he didn’t win, but there are serious discrepancies in the voting system that need to be addressed. Electronic voting has caused a lot of trouble across the U.S. I am simply pointing out that now they are actually doing what they should have done in 2000.If you will recall, Gore had won Florida giving him the presidential election. However before all the votes had been counted this was changed to Bush winning Florida and thus the presidential election. When they had recounted Florida's vote, Gore had won in all scenarios. The real issue here isn’t whether Bush won or not, its that every vote counts in a democracy, and that as a democracy every vote needs to be accounted for. Unlike in 2000 where thoughsands of voters were disenfranchised of there vote due to misinformation, among other reasons. Anyway this is an important development in U.S. politics however you feel about the issue.
  19. I would hardly describe Kerry as a "good" man, both Bush and Kerry have there downfalls, infact voteing for either of them isnt a real choice, Kerry is a conservative democrat, and Bush is a extreamly fundamentalist Republican. Kerry would not have stopped the Iraq war if put into office he had said that, he had an alternative plan which I felt was better, but the amount of casualties would hardly be lower. Urban warfare is probably the most dangerous type of fighting the U.S. has ever had to deal with. I think what we really need now is action, no more talk, making both Canadian and United States governments more accountable is something the general population needs to get more active in. If you arent turned on by politics, politics will turn on you. And so ends Supercanuk's Rant.
  20. Hello all, It has been a long time since i have posted but i feel this is urgent news that must be brought to everyones decision. Click Here Something historic happened yesterday. For the first time since 1877 a member of the House and a member of the Senate stood up together to object to a state's electoral college votes. This is the first step to confirming Bush's win, hopefully we will not see another debacle seen in the 2000 Elections.
  21. If you look at where the troops at stationed and posted, and then you super-impose where the said pipeline was planned, there identical.
  22. I personally really liked the book, it was very well researched and i dont think anyone can take that away from the book.
