it's analog delay feeding back on itself when dave changed the delay time/intensity manually with the knobs, a $30 behringer will get you pretty close. it was either a boss analog delay or an ibanez, but i can't remember, i would lean towards the ibanez as it is basically the newer version of this pedal (fast forward to about 5:45)

I'm likely going to miss it as i have a 2 hour mid term starting at 11:30, but he is going to be at mount royal college, thursday at noon. If you haven't heard the radio program before, i highly recommend it, he knows just about everything there is to know about alt-rock type music.

north american for life would be my suggestion as well, but there are a LOT of songs to choose from.

AoB is my favorite matt good album, and it is a strong competitor for one of my favorite albums of all time, definitely top 5.

i've never run a multi effects unit buy you might want to look into something called the XP1000 in the 90's, after the digitech whammy 1 was discontinued, digitech released a line of pedals called the xp100, xp200, xp300, and xp400 the 100 was a whammy wah, it contained most of the digitech whammy features (but didn't track quite as well as the original whammy) and had various wah's the 200 was called the modulation station, it had various tremolo's, choruses, etc. dave genn used this one on his audio of being recording pedal board as posted below the 300 was called the space station, this pedal made some CRAZY sounds and i'll post a demo below the 400 was called the reverberator and had some great reverbs on it, from making your guitar sounding like an old fender, to sounding like it was in a massive room, or a giant echo chamber a guy in the states mods them to have all 4 pedals in one enclosure, he can mod one you have for about $160, or you can buy one for $300, i just bought mine. here is one on ebay for a good price, i think the guy that mods them offers a lifetime warranty but the switches are a bit delicate... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...hlink:middle:us anyways, demo and dave genn pedal board content... and the space station demo as per another forum member on another forum: good luck on what you pick

he is using the digitech whammy 1 for that part and playing notes at the octave on the 12th so you are getting one octave higher than normal followed by notes that are one octave above that when the pedal is engaged. he uses the same peddle a lot on the audio of being (outro solo for carmelina, and man of action) and christian thor valdson uses it quite a bit on avalance (double life, song about the girl). jonny greenwood, the edge, tom morello, and many more use the same pedal, it is absolutely great

i miss when much music was somewhat relevant

i'd have to agree, i think dave was able to bring quite an interesting approach to many songs and brought some lead parts that really complimented matt's rhythm work

i'm not seeing any demos

missed it, i really like the more ambient stuff he does so if someone could upload it, that would be awesome

thick strings but don't expect to do any crazy bends. the songs do take on a new life when you play them in that key though, luckily i have a pedal that can drop half a step. ;)

for those that pre-ordered a signed copy, does yours say "signed" in the receipt, or just pre-order of cd? it said signed in my cart, but i thought i would double check with everyone here.

sweet, got a signed one pre-ordered, now vinyl ;) i also got my digital download for the new oasis album, and the vinyl/cd box set should arrive any day, it's a good week :angry:

regular cd is back up, at least i can get one of those ;)
