signed cd in the basket, not where is the vinyl? ;)
-
it sounds great, i'm amazed at the quality considering it has 99.99% no studio work.
-
double vinyl, can't wait ;)
-
i really hope he decides to put this on the album, it's a great song.
-
he needs to release it, even if it doesn't fit his new cd, it is a GREAT song.
-
ebay is hype pricing, i've been watching that auction and the high bidder jumped it up $80 over the span of 8 bids $100
-
pm'd and still looking
-
missed it, any way to stream it?
-
carmelina by default, it has the best solo through all of matt's music
-
absolutely, dave's choice of guitar parts and keyboard parts really added a lot. post audio of being guitar parts, aside form some stuff on avalanche, has all been pretty traditional pop-rock stuff. that said the new stuff has had some great stuff as far as instrumentation goes, but there is less stuff that makes you go "what the hell was that noise?" (granted, hospital music has a lot of tape loops, and avalanche had lots of reverb/delay) but i'm not matt good, and at the end of the day, if he wants to do all the work himself and hire people for the live shows, it's his place to do so.
-
i really hope he plays "fine art of falling apart" or "generation x-wing" acoustic.
-
i suck at guitar, but if people want to use some guitar equipment in the calgary area, i wouldn't mind volunteering my stuff

http://www.nme.com/news/oasis/27632 new oasis album in fall, i could see a solo record 6-8 months after that? that article is around a year old, but he had another kid, and oasis just got away from their label, meaning they need to put out some new material. if it happens, i'll be first in line to buy it. -

love all of their albums, but everything since be here now has one or two tracks that shouldn't be on the cd. i have 5th row seats to the calgary show, i can't wait. to be honest, i heard that noel wanted to do a solo project, i would LOVE to see that. -

i really hope he adds another date, i want to go to both days just to see him, stp, and the hip, but correct me if i'm wrong, i though everyone except the headliners got less then an hour, that plus a bunch of drunken teenagers and indie kids...this festival will by stomping on every last nerve i have, lol

fall of man would be interesting live

The Smiths

i like them, how soon is now is still an amazing song, marr and morrisey made quite the songwriting team -
its dagdad flat from what i can tell, i really hope whoever matt has playing guitar for this round has some nice dirt pedals that will get closer to the mgb sound
-
really??? that strikes me as weird, esp. considering on the acoustic tour, he re-tuned to dadgad tuning for fine art of falling apart (thankful he did), drop d gives the song a lot of low end.

of the two live versions i've heard (edmonton, on youtube, and the one from the NF store), neither seemed to really capture the power of the song, especially the outro solo. from reading an old thread on here (2004), it alluded that matt likes the song but can't figure out what to do with it live. are there any other live recordings? more importantly, are there any live versions that actually sound good?
-
my favorite matt good cd, the sound of the band falling apart made for great music, from the production, to matt's vocal performance, to the lyrics, to dave's guitar work, i can listen to that album over and over and not get tired of it. for any interested in effects used on the album (guitar), see the "dave genn's pedal board" thread i posted a while back, it's pretty accurate and it's from the studio when they were recording audio of being.
