It's nice... very pretty. I like the buildup at the ending of Lost at Sea. But I don't get the Taking Back Sunday reference? (I'll admit it; I'm a fan.) I think they sound more like Straylight Run or Brand New. And actually, the guitar riffs and screaming in Ready to Give reminds me of Alkaline Trio. Not bad, though. I could see those guys getting big. I'd rather see them on the radio over Silverstein or Hawthorne Heights. Thanks for the link. :D

The 2006 Fall Tv Season
soundless_space replied to garsk's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
I don't remember the last time I watched TV, frankly. I don't remember seeing any ads for the new shows this season. So I'll stick to what I know for now. CSI, NCIS, blah blah. If I remember to record them when I'm at work. Anyway, is there a link to a site somewhere that maybe has a list of new shows and what they're about? -
Semi Finals For Last Of The Ghetto Astranauts
soundless_space replied to Blender's topic in Matthew Good
Hm. I don't know why this is not difficult for me, but I chose Omissions of the Omen. I've always liked that song better than Symbolistic White Walls. -
Private Going-away Show For Vancouverites

I believe it's up on the front page of NF. Because I'm feeling generous, copied and pasted from NF's index: Tripoli Metal Airplanes *NEW SONG* Strange Days Avalanche Prime Time Deliverance Sort Of A Protest Song She's In It For The Money Alert Status Red Fated House Of Smoke And Mirrors In A World Called Catastrophe -
Alright. I finally downloaded this one. It really is as good as everyone is saying. I didn't think it would live up to the hype, but it's wonderful. I love the banjo. Haha.

Favorite Live Album?

I didn't mean Blue Rodeo was dorky. I meant my choice in favouite live albums was dorky. I always feel weird for admitting how much I love Rush. -
Favorite Live Album?

This is quite dorky. But I'm going to say Rush in Rio. -
This thread reminds me of High Fidelity. Top Five Vegetables: 1. onion 2. cucumber 3. mushrooms 4. tomato 5. bok choy

The 2006 Fall Tv Season
soundless_space replied to garsk's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
I always thought Lost should have ended after one season. The second season didn't thrill me as much as the first. As for the 2006 TV season. I don't really know about new shows, but I always look forward to more CSI! -
I hate both, but anythying's better than country.

Private Going-away Show For Vancouverites

Man, I wish I lived in Vancouver. -
Haha! Is that supposed to be sarcasm? I'm not good at reading that sort of stuff over the internet.

Those George Foreman grills are nice, actually. I used mine a bunch in college.

I thought the ring video was great. The cheesy effects and all. I hope it helps him get over the situation easier.

Cobra Starship
soundless_space replied to borntohula's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Hm, interesting. Yep, that's him (Pete Wentz, Fall Out Boy. Whatever. I like how you said it like it was just one guy. Haha.). I think the label the soundtrack for SOAP came out on is his label - Decaydence or something? That video also has the girl from The Sounds, William Beckett from The Academy Is... and I'm sure lots of others I don't know. -
In Buffalo he is. But I have no idea if he would be in other US cities. Possibly other cities near the Canadian/US border.
-
I've always thought that Matt likes having a rather low-key profile. I don't really know how popular he is in Canada, but surely it is much moreso than in the US. But I'm always up for letting people know about good music.

Gnarls Barkley
soundless_space replied to garsk's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I say yes. That thing gets airplay like nobody's business. And unless the next one is just as well-written and catchy, it will never get as popular. I think the video helped it's popularity as well. -
I really couldn't see that happening. Maybe because I don't like Pearl Jam. Ew, I think that would be horrible, actually.

She was in Placebo? Interesting. Yeah, I love her with Broken Social Scene and her solo stuff is amazing. Let it Die is one of my favourite albums to listen to. -

He should be known all over the place. A fantastically talented songwriter and performer. I love Joel Plaskett Emergency. -
5th Round Of Last Of The Ghetto Astranauts

Omissions of the Omen, do doubt about it. Haven't Slept in Years is okay. I like the version on Raygun best. -
Some of it happens, but never to the degree that they show in the movie. That was quite extreme- which was the point, of course. Although, I haven't worked in a restaurant kitchen where anyone does anything to people's food. At least not when I'm there.
