  1. at least they're burying an act i don't care about in a pile of shit instead of someone i do.
  2. i reached nf fanatacism today. so whatever that post count is. hooray for me.
  3. let me down - no use for a name
  4. ripcordz - snarling vocals, the likes of which i usually don't like, but they're an exception.
  5. on a slow night - metric
  6. superunkown is awesome. it would have been super-awesome if they hadn't included spoonman. one of the worst songs ever written. my 'copy' of superunknown does not include that gem.
  7. not this kid. i'm also a late comer to matthew good. i never got into him until in between avalanche and white light. avalanche is an awesome album for its grand scale. white light is an awesome, stripped down rock n roll album. his lyrics haven't lost any punch for me from album to album (i've 'blown up' every one of them except ghetto astronauts). like you said, it's just a matter of opinion. as for future releases...whatever floats his boat. if i don't like it, i won't listen to it.
  8. he does, but that one song they keep doing can only go so far. in their defense it's way better than the one song nickleback keeps doing.
  9. 10/10 'cause i don't want colbert to put me on notice.
  10. maybe you didnt like it because you couldnt get the name right. nope, that ain't it. it was so meh i forgot it's name.
  11. the name of this thing is not love - elvis costello.
  12. mer de noms is great. i didn't like the second one, except for a couple songs. i don't remember which ones anymore. that "beating of the wardrums" song, whatever that was. and emoticon was...meh. i only kept two songs from it: "imagine" and "fiddle and the drum".
  13. okay i have sort of a music theory question, i guess. i like playing the arpeggiated part of weapon, but without backing drums the chorus single note hits seem weak and i'd like to play the whole damn song arpeggiated. i don't know enough about theory (or really anything) to know how to fill out those single notes into the appropriate chords to fit the song. help please?
  14. the downward spiral - nine inch nails. i hadn't listened to it in it's entirety in maybe 6 or 7 years until a few days ago. i had forgotten its level of awesomeness as a whole album. think i'll put it on right now, actually.
  15. i've wanted to read this book since the second i was conceived. jack kerouac inspires me so much. i've read it twice now and i'm sure i'll read it a few more times.
  16. top five books: on the road - jack kerouac brave new world - aldous huxley perfume - patrick suskind 1984 - george orwell catch 22 - joseph heller
  17. i won't stick any of you unless and until i can stick all of you - black flag
  18. top five favorite movies: reservoir dogs usual suspects fear and loathing in las vegas shaun of the dead casablanca
  19. tool is prog rock, if you're gonna lump them in somewhere.
  20. i'd recommend the subhumans over the sex pistols. same bratty, revved up sound, but with more talent and substance.
