I don't know, I'm just not where I thought I would be in life, and it kind of sucks. I feel like listening to I Miss New Wave.

ENTJ Extravert(11%) iNtuitive(12%) Thinking(1%) Judging(39%) You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (11%) You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%) You have marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (1%) You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (39%) This is accurate

Hmmm, this is a good question. Temperature is always measured in the shade (i think) so you might be a little warmer under direct sunlight during April as opposed to January. That's my guess!

I'm horrible at it but my girlfriend loves to dance. I try to make her teach me a bit every now and then but I'm still horrible.

I just noticed the video has 270,000+ views now, I really hope it's because of international releases, he deserves some recognition.

He plays an acoustic version of Guns of Carolina at the end of this interview (starts at 12:39) https://soundcloud.c...alls-of-the-day Sounds pretty good, looking forward to the studio version. Also note, in the interview he says Guns of Carolina is the 9th track, and the first ballad, so maybe expect a much more upbeat album this time around. edit: he also says there will be a second single when the album comes out in september

I was really surprised the first time I heard Had it Coming, I wasn't expecting that at all. I'm really into it, and I think the vocal style is great.

Has Matt said anything recently about a music video? I think at one point many months ago he mentioned that a video might happen for this album but I can't quite remember.

Watched Argo recently, like it too. Just watched Dredd last night, was a lot better than I thought it would be.

The answer to this question has changed over the years. right now my favourite song is Native Son, will that change in the future? Probably. Is it bad that we have so much trouble picking a favourite song? Fuck no, it just means that there's too much awesome shit to choose from. edit: fuck ok I have to add The Boy Come Home, listening to this song, reading the lyrics.... it was the first time a song ever made me cry.

There's a website that has tabs for most songs from Hospital Music and earlier. I believe the pages for Vancouver and Lights of Endangered Species are mostly just lyrics. http://www.mgtabarchive.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

The live version of Champions of Nothing is just amazing, especially towards then end where he gives it that final push of energy that's missing from the studio version. I It sends shivers up my spine when I listen to it!

The 00's had some amazing movies! Lost in Translation Up in the Air World's Greatest Dad Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 500 Days of Summer Garden State Requiem for a Dream (I'm counting this as my scary movie!) The Royal Tenenbaums Gone Baby Gone Definitely, Maybe also: if you haven't seen World's Greatest Dad you should check it out. It's a dark comedy, and probably the best thing I've seen Robin Williams in.

Still not done the first book, but B- sounds about right. It's not amazing and some of the writing is clumsy, but still a bit of a page turner.

Finally *beat Skyrim, only took 5 months. Working on finishing up Mass Effect 3. I also bought Hack, Slash, Loot off Steam. It's a neat little dungeon crawler that's fun to play while watching tv or something. Journey looks like it provides the type of experience I have never had in a videogame before, but would love. Sadly I don't have a PS3 so it will have to wait. Anyone else have trouble keeping up with games these days? I've got this huge stack of unfinished games that I'll probably never play through. I don't think I'll ever finish Final Fantasy 13, it's just too boring. I've also got unopened copies of Assassin's Creed 2 and Red Dead Redemption... *across 3 characters, I did all the big quest lines and guilds, and got 1000 points on the xbox version.

I just started the first book, kinda feels like it was written by a highschool student. That could just be because the last book i read was so well written though.

I'm reading The Passage by Justin Cronin and it's awesome. It's a zombie book but don't let that turn you off from it, the story is fantastic. I'm about three-quarters done and I'm not wanting it to end!

What Imagery Do You Associate With Some Of Matt's Songs?
IamNick replied to MarcoBeltrami's topic in Matthew Good
The Ocean makes me think of an animated painting of the ocean at sunset. Dusk makes me think of blue-green with a white section in the middle. They're very clean colours except where the white changes to blue, as if they were stretched over eachother. The Boy Come Home makes me think of someone sitting in a Ford truck, it's sunny outside, a nice day, but there's a sadness to the picture that I can't describe. I think the musical tone of the song usually has a colour, and then the wording will have an associated image(s), and the song will be some sort of combination of the 2. -
Has Matt ever said anything about recording a live acoustic album? There's a few acoustic re-recordings on In a Coma that are fantastic and I'd love to hear more. I know in the past he's said things like he wanted to do acoustic EPs or something like that, and he seems to do regular acoustic tours in the US so I thought a live acoustic album wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

Cold Harbour? (lights Of Endangered Species Megathread!)
IamNick replied to Who's topic in Matthew Good
I just got shivers listening to Non Populus..... I think this album is exactly what I'm looking for. My taste in music has shifted over the last few years from standard guitar-bass-drums rock into anything that I think sounds good, and I think this sounds good. Also I fucking love piano so Matt saying Piano is leading on this album is fantastic.
