  1. i, too, remember the good old days. i'm going back to school for another degree. decided the first degree was a useless pile of shit (psychology) and now i'm going back to get a degree in english and then on to teacher's college. if all goes well, i'll be done school when i'm 28 *barf*
  2. that's exactly how i see it. there's 2 cd-r's which he pays for and they come in a cd pocket, mailed in a simple makeshit envelope of paper (seeing as cd's don't fit in normal envelopes). it's actually coming out of his pocket, but i feel better knowing i donated to a good cause instead of $30 per tape on ebay. i was tempted to do that until i found this guy's website. even if it is illegal, i don't really care haha.
  3. i quite enjoy ac/dc on long road trips. keeps me awake and i enjoy rocking out. making the three hour trek to windsor tomorrow though and i'm thinking matt good will keep me company. haven't listened to much else lately. i tend to listen to "poppy" music when i'm on long drives. keeps me awake, fun 80's tunes, etc.
  4. excellent movie, excellent soundtrack. big fan indeed.
  5. i would never vote on best movie ever, because everyone has a different opinion. but my favourite movie of all time is stand by me.
  6. meh. i got the demos and i'm happy.
  7. i got my hands on a burned copy of the demos. it came yesterday in the mail so i'm pretty psyched about it. the easiest way to do it is to go here. if you make a minimum $10 donation to a select few organizations, then send him a screen shot as proof you did it with your name and address on it, he'll send you the 2 cd's with demo stuff on it. i thought it was a great idea. that way this guy isn't making any money off of it (which makes it legal) and you're helping a good cause.
  8. Dead Poet's Society
  9. Alert Status Red - Matt Good
  10. and where would one locate said recording?
  11. For me it was a toss-up between Fall of Man, Inescapable Us, and I, The Throw Away. I went with Inescapable Us because I've always loved that song. I never understood why so many people dislike I, The Throw Away. An excellent song in my books.
  12. well said. i can only agree. my friend wanted me to go see fall out boy with her. i declined strictly because i do not wish to be surrounded by a bunch of screaming 16 year old girls. i enjoy the mature atmosphere of a 19+ show. there's less screaming and general screwing around, and there's more of an appreciation for the music, and less "oh my god! he's so hot! oh my god he looked right at me! oh my gooood!!!! ahhhhh!!!" turning 19 does not automatically eliminate this kind of behavior, but lessens it substantially.
  13. i, the throw away is one of my favourite songs, so i'm inclined to say that one.
  14. as soon as I read the title of this thread that is exactly what I was thinking. ditto. that would be amazing.
  15. I don't know you, and I don't know where that school is, but congrats anyhow! I'm waiting to hear from schools myself. Going back to school to obtain degree #2. *barf*
  16. *chuckle*
  17. I've become interested in many bands strictly from watching TV shows. Don't be embarassed! ;)
  18. I beg to differ. I think there are many songs out there which are covers and are better than the originals. An example would be Nothing Compares 2 U. I feel that the Sinead O'Connor version is 10 times better than the original Prince version. But in the end it all comes down to personal taste. To each their own.
  19. I concur.
  20. Not big into brit-pop. So from what little I know, I'd have to say Oasis (cliche I know). Do you prefer to sleep naked or do you wear pj's?
  21. www.myspace.com/andielicious It's the second best time-killer at work after The Bored.
  22. I would have to agree with you there. I do enjoy the song though.
  23. Prime Time Deliverance Acoustic from Rooms. I have the little audio player from MG's site open on my work computer haha.
  24. Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
  25. The Joshua Tree is a good album. But on the topic of Man of Action, I find the end always reminds me of the opening music for Star Trek: The Next Generation for some reason...
