i have a deep hatred for metric. so even though i've been told that her solo stuff is different, i still refuse to listen to it. but thanks for the suggestion! lol. i recall listening to some sia in the past. she has sung for zero 7 before. but i shall check out her solo stuff as well as feist. thanks ;) -

in a day and age when so many bands are manufactured, it's a delight to find an artist who is comfortable doing an acoustic tour, and who actually has the voice with which to do it successfully. i could have cried for many of the songs he played at the toronto show during the acoustic tour. hell, i almost cried during 99% of us is failure. -

a guy that i work with is pretty huge into matt good. mostly because his daughter loves to give him new music to check out. but he's in his 50's and always tells me about new albums and concerts of matt good's (i always know before him, but it's still cute). -

btjunkie.com is my favourite torrent site. it finds just about anything. i found the album 'music to make love to your old lady by' by lovage. that's all it found. so i'm gonna check that out. also found 'stereo type a' by cibo matto that i will check out. i really appreciate it!! -

i did in the past. lost a lot of my music though. i'll have to download some more of her stuff. thanks!! -
i've been trying to get into some more unknown music lately. i'm typically a big fan of female singers. here's a sample of my faves as of late (sort of in order): ingrid michaelson lily allen amy winehouse regina spektor kate havnevik if anyone a) knows any of these artists and b) can suggest some female singers in and around this range of artists, i would be forever grateful. thanks!! also, if you don't know any of these, you should. lily allen is starting to get pretty popular, but if you haven't heard her yet, might i suggest the song 'knock 'em out' as it's hilarious. little british girl who actually sings with a cockney accent. she's pretty funny. also, if you're into the shins and the like (i know, not female, but whatever) i suggest checking out the 'catch and release' soundtrack. it's a cheesy chick flick, but the soundtrack is full of awesome mellow indie bands. it's in the flavour of the garden state soundtrack

that just goes to show that although matt may not be as mainstream, especially now, he still has his fans. and his fans are the first to declare their admiration for him. i have also found that once you become a fan, you're a fan for life. how many more times could i have used the word fan in that paragraph? jeez. -
sounds like a pretty decent station. i love new radio stations. toronto has eliminated all but one of the stations that used to only play techno/rap which is awesome (there used to be three or four). it's all classic rock, alternative, and easy listening stations here now.
-
neither do i, but every now and then i do. there's a few stations in toronto that will play matt good, but it's usually just those two songs and on occasion apparitions. it's lame.

anyone who listened to the nooner on edge 102.1 today and heard a request for alert status red, that was me. everytime i call the edge i request that song (they have a limited selection). josie loves matt good so she always plays it. but this time she actually put me on the radio. so if you heard it today, yes, i went to a cross dressing party this weekend haha. so if you ever want matt good on the radio, call edge when josie is on air. there's only like three songs they'll play, but more often than not, she'll play one for you. the radio needs more matt good.

i could have sworn he said in the underdog days. maybe i'm mistaken. could have been beautiful midnight. not sure. he's 26 i do believe. so he would have been pretty young if underdogs is the case. -
a friend of mine works at the ymca in waterdown and hedley played there last nite. she frequently runs low on volunteers so i offered my services. well, i'm a smoker, and clearly being surrounded by screaming 15 year olds for 8 hours made me take frequent smoke breaks. i was out back having a smoke when dave, the guitarist for hedley came out. we were chatting about how he's from bc and whatnot so i mentioned i'm a big fan of matt good. he told me that his old band opened for them in the underdog days on a couple shows. i showed him my tattoo (my avatar) and he started singing it to me. i'm always shocked when people know that song. it made me feel special that he was singing it to me haha. just a little story i felt like sharing. it's entertaining to me, if to no one else! the screaming 15 year olds would have been jealous.
