wow fucking lame, I just got back from vegas to find out that if i'd had planned a little better I coulda crashed this fucking thing... ummm some quick advice(pm me or something if you want more) try to stay on the strip(las vegas blvd) at a casino if you want a nice "vegas" exp. if you want a cheap bed try staying downtown at the nugget or off the strip somewhere like sam's town or palace station. the downtown casino's are economical at best. I was dupped into staying at binions since it was like free at 30 a night. it's a dump. I would also recommend not staying at travel lodges or other cheaper places unless they are a bit off outside of the casinos. Vegas is a pretty gritty/druggy/dangerous place compared to many US cities let alone to you guys thinking of venturing from canada. It's alot of fun but it's also a gambling town with lots of people with nothing to lose. not so much on the strip but immediately off of it is not so much fun. I would also try to get a rental car. it's very expensive to get a cab 3.20 base + 20 1/11 a mile and wait time, and the strip is a parking lot 90% of the time. parking is free at all casino's so it's definitely worth the hassle of doing it yourself. things you could also look into is checking out the top of the strasophere(cn tower west) it's 10.00 bucks and gives you a great view of the area. I would also consider taking a 30 minute drive to the hoover dam it's a really amazing drive and it's similar to the grand canyon without the extra 3 hours or driving. Red rock national park is also cool and free! oh and getting booze in LV is easier than getting water. there are no open container laws in vegas it's pretty cool. the drinking age is 21. I don't know how often you will get carded but it's a big city give it a few shots.

I thought season 10 was better than 9. the ori were pretty interest especially at first, I felt like they made them reall strong and then realized how it wasn't feasable and then things got dicy. atlantis is a good concept and some shows are good. but yeah there is a lot of filler. excited for a 3rd show.

If I had to guess i'm figuring that it might be where the xm stuidos are. and he might be contractually forced to do so. it's not like he's putting on a US tour or anything. he's definitely the best of the worst in terms of wanting to sell record, but it's foolish to think he doesn't want his record to sell millions and millions of copies.

curious from the xm listeners how this will go down? a full set? just a few(4-5 songs?) anyone from the area gonna try to attend? I really would like to check this out it's a krappy drive from philly but not terrible but it would be a long way to just hear 4 songs and some basic questions and then drive back. thoughts are appricated.

ok i'm gonna preface this by saying if you want a pointless gore fest this movie is for you(ie you liked saw 2-3). now if you want a movie that makes even a little sense this movie is not for you. 28days later was a good movie it was pretty well written especially the first 45 minutes. it was watchable right up to the end, for the most part people made sound decisions atleast plausable ones. in this one though, nothing makes sense top to bottom. the rage guys(zombies) at one point break though 2x4's and basically open a house up but then later in the movie aren't able to break car glass? that about sums up the total joke of a movie this was. i'm not gonna spoil anything for those that wish to piss off 9 bucks but it's brutal people act like total morons it's totally infuriating.

fwiw I think jenny lewis has a nice voice but her lyrics are weak. (she is hot though, I grew the dick now I just gotta prove my worth) if you don't like metric you won't like the solo stuff imo. If I could suggest one band/singer that hasn't been mentioned that I'm kinda surpirsed. garrison starr - she did a song that was on the xpn a long time ago "super hero" I bet alot of you older heads(bishop i'm looking ya !!) might remember it if you heard it. but alot of her songs are very strong lyrically and her voice is unique kinda got a southern twank but not country more folky. - actually curious if anyone likes her. specifically;Superhero -garrision starr and grounded are personal favs. also K's choice from back in the day - i'm not an addict. lol everyone likes that song. jonatha brooke does a really really beautiful cover of 1980 allan parson's project hit "eye in the sky" it's like so unbelievable and the lyrics when presented in the way she does is very emotional. if your looking for something less folky and more goth for lack of a better term you could check out rasputina.

I haven't seen thespider man movies coz of toby and i read alot of it as a yout. would see it if they had carnage in it.(they are doing the black spiderman this one no?) xmen should fight apoc. but how? apoc is such a strong guy hell he can do whatever he wants. - could mention Cable. there's endless resources for xmen. bruce willis couldn't hold the govenors jock in anything. agree on matrix 4. by far the best of those mentioned but no chance for a 4th.

ok my first impressions of this song are it's definitely an evolving but kinda deevolving sound compared to other MG. I hear hints of alabama motel room, but some white light in there was well. but clearly more hostile and direct-personal. can't be surprised see him make an angry album, given his recent past. The lyrics are good in that respect, strong. The chic has a nice voice it gives the song a kinda country mary chapin carpenter feel, I like dueling voices male/female but could be in the minority there. A major departure from beautiful midnight/AoB/avalanche the cd's that personally got me into MG. not a good or a bad thing, I like this song but if this were the first song I heard by MG I wouldn't be looking high and low for loser anthem's cd's. I think it's really strong lyrically for a country music channel but way to country/folk for a rock music channel. IE radio play for this one isn't happening imho.
