  1. For some reason, Ashley MacIssac comes to mind. Probably wrong, though.
  2. led zepplin r one of my fav bands tho ;)
  3. They would be alright if it weren't for the hideous vocals.
  4. Yeah I can't say I'm a fan of generic rock.
  5. A little bland for my tastes--though, I do own Pinback albums so go figure.
  6. I always liked Placebo but never really thought about picking up any of their albums.
  7. A extremely solid release by Pearl Jam again (as expected). Though, I would much rather listen to No Code or Binaural over this album, any day.
  8. Rockier you say? I have Caught By The Window and it's a pretty good cd--but nothing more. Judging by Barely Listening, I imagined that they released exactly the same album again so I didn't bother listening and/or buying the album. I guess I should give a crack at it? Though, I'm getting a little tired with falsetto impersonations of early Bono.
  9. Another unique, interesting album by Patton, though I only heard it once.
  10. The most generic of them all. Not just their later stuff but especially Curb and The State.
  11. 10,000 Days really isn't a step ahead of Lateralus.
  12. Fungus Amungus is the worst album. Just because something is funkier, older and more "raw" doesn't make anything better. Besides, ripping off RHCP, Primus and Mr. Bungle can be a little tiresome. S.C.I.E.N.C.E was a pretty original album if you think about it (ignoring the existance of Mike Patton, that is!)--though, it was inappropriately labelled as Nu Metal when it was released. Still a wicked album, probably my 3rd favourite of theirs. Make Yourself is my fourth favourite of them. Contrary to that EVERYBODY believes, this is actually lighter than Morning View. My favourite Incubus record is by far and away, A Crow Left Of The Murder. It's evolution, baby.
  13. I'm actually not listening to anything and instead watching basketball. I don't care if I'm wasting a post. On a related note, Stadium Arcadium...pick it up from a record store!
  14. Countdown to Extinction - Megadeth
  15. I finally picked up the album yesterday and it is terrific! The funny thing is that I only heard Disc #1 and can't wait until the second (due to time constaints--I didn't intentionally turn off this incredible record). From disc one alone, The Chilis are for sure stronger than ever melodically and Frusciante has NEVER sounded this good before. I've found so many mixed reviews of the album it's ridiculous. Maturity is a key aspect in music and I would be pissed off if they returned to their juvenile funk roots a la BSSM (yes, I find that album vastly overrated). This is their best release (surpasses 'One Hot Minute' for me already) and I won't be surprised if this is the album of the year. Can't wait for disc 2, haha.
  16. Bad - U2 Stupid eight character limit.
  17. Just finished listening to the new record right now. It's awesome. It has some of the heavy moments in recent memory (see Vs. for a similarity with guitar solos) BUT probably the most diverse Pearl Jam record to date. Well Vitalogy is probably more diverse with all of its filler (awesome filler, mind you); but yes, this album wasn't a letdown by all means. And I only heard the album in shitty 128kbps sound quality--so I can't wait til I get the album.
  18. Realistically, White Light is the definition driving cd. Straight forward rock & roll.
  19. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus....yadda yadda - The Mars Volta
  20. Isn't that the one where Daniel Johns is crying in the shower?
