It's good--it's a pretty rocking track but I'm expecting a lot more out of my band on the cd.

This is a fact. Nine Inch Nails put on the greatest show. Period.

Trent Reznor brought industrial music into the mainstream--of course NIN will be remembered. Johnny Cash will be a fixture of the country music scene forever. But if Cash never covered Hurt, I do not think he would have been praised by "casual fans" (not implying that you are one) for being a legend. We would have been disappointed with his death but not think further into it. Rick Rubin was a big part of Cash's success and managed to get Cash's Hurt spinned into MTV rotation (the pinnacle of mainstream media)--consequently, he began to be nominated for many award shows. I just don't see the hype of his material in our demographic besides the influences of the conglomerate industries in the music business today.

He should return to Mohawk College like he did in the Ghetto days. Other worthy bands that played the college over the years: I Mother Earth, The Tea Party, The Headstones, Danko Jones, and I can't think who else at the moment. This year alone, Thornley (with Hurst), Theory Of A Deadman, and Billy Talent have all come to the college. Big time Canadian groups--but yet again, Matt is in his "acoustic stage" in his life and he is in his late 30s--college kids wouldn't dig it. Plus, I am an insider with the college and could get anything for you people--but obviously, I'm dreaming--and I've wasted this post as the thread will now be bumped because of me with really no use whatsoever.

I've put some thought into this over the years and he would really, really do a great job if he tried The Freshmen by The Verve Pipe--he would emulate it perfectly and it suits his voice so much.

What's Matthew Good's fascination with Little Terror? It's such a mediocre song.

Call The Office doesn't even have a backstage or real security. Are there actually tickets still available? What am I thinking? The venue has MAYBE a 300 standing capacity--tops...and that's if you want to be crushed.

Maybe it was a month back--don't have teh ticket stub with me. It was at the John Labatt Centre in London. Incredible show BOTH musically AND visually.

Pretty sad that a country junkie by the name of Johnny Cash is more respected than Trent Reznor's version. By golly, why is that? It is because the man is badly aged/now diseased when Rick Rubin asked him to cover it (alongside Rusty Cage). Johnny Cash was washed up in his later stages and he was terribly monotone in the cover. The ending of the song (the highlight of the NIN version) is non-existant and the song is ripped drastically. So overrated. I went to a Nine Inch Nails show a few weeks back and my friend thought that Johnny Cash wrote the song (who was wearing a Downward Spiral hoodie) which really pissed me off. Also, a side note, NIN outperformed Pearl Jam for the greatest concert I've ever seen--my god. And hell no, Matthew Good isn't an outstanding performer. Oh yes, I guess I better hear Matthew Good's version.

since I was your...I mean it's been a while since I've been here! I'm too lazy to click in dozens of topics but what IS THIS I hear about a Matthew Good tour pretty much right now? The first thing I notice is that in London, he is playing at Call The Office, what the hell is up with that? Has Matthew Good popularity sunk to a new low or he just planning for acoustic, small venue shows for the "true fans"? Also, wow, we got the Rodchester Kings album up! Holy shit Russell, I have been completely owned and I should have never taken a hiatus from this site. Anything else that I've missed Matthew Good-related in 2006?
