I watched Almost Famous a few days ago... I've seen it a few times. I love it. Cameron Crowe is the man.

First Round Of Last Of The Ghetto Astranauts

"You're". -
I've been with the company I'm with now for about a yeah and a half. Although I'm in a completely different position/department now. I started making $7.50/hr and now I make about $14.00/hr. I've never had a formal review/evaluation of any kind. I'm due for another raise in a few months. It's not much cash really for a lot of people but it works for me because my living expenses are like, less than $600 a month.

Like 80% of WLRRR is very political.

Which Mg Tunes (if Any) Do You Dislike?
Monochrome Rainbow replied to ADAMALLO's topic in Matthew Good
I like all of the tracks but there are some songs I listen to less than others... Fearless Strangest One of All Middle Class Gangsters Change of Season I Miss New Wave In A World Called Catastrophe Song For The Girl Little Terror Blue Skies Over Badlands Change of Season and Blue Skies Over Badlands mostly because I listen to music on the bus mainly and I'll probably fall asleep on my way to work if I put them on. -
David Usher
Monochrome Rainbow replied to Doormat's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
David Usher kicks ass. I've seen him live a few times. All of his albums are pretty well done; I can't wait for some new material. Moist > David Usher for sure though. Although sometimes I'm just in the mood for his solo stuff. -

What the fuck ever happened to him after OLP? I searched around on the net but didn't really find much. Albeit I didn't really search that hard... He made that band; they were in their prime then.

I'd consider tatooing my kids names on me. Other than that though tatoos really aren't for me. I don't mind them on some people but yeah... Not for me.

I Can't Even Handle This Right Now.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that, Ninjastyle. I hope your other kitten and cat are doing well. ;) I have degus and I've had them for about 9 months now. They had always got along really well but I came home the other night and one had attacked the other while I was at work. Biting and clawing it's entire body. There was blood all over the cage and the degu was just lying on it's back under her wheel. I took her out and cleaned her up and made her a little shoebox room. She was still breathing normally she was just very weak. She died overnight. -
I prefer bus to walking, but only because I'm about a 3 hour walk or so from work. As long as you have a portable music player or a book if you can read on the bus it's perfectly fine. I just lay back and listen to tunes for 90 mins everyday or audiobooks (Reading in a moving vehicle makes me sick). I kinda like the bus, it's a good buffer time between work and home. The only thing that sucks about public transit in Halifax is it is pretty inefficient. It takes longer than going straight from point a to point b obviously, and if you're running 5 or 10 mins late going somewhere you all of a sudden are anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours late depending on how many buses you need to take or how different routes connect, or how often departures are. Fortunately I only take one bus to work and it runs every half an hour. I normally get to work 25 mins early so if I miss the first bus I'm only 5 mins late.

I liked it quite a bit. Not as good as the first but only really because it's a cliffhanger, but the story is cool and I'm glad they're spending some time on it. I was wondering how they were going to fit everything in one movie. At first I was a little disappointed with the ending, actually I thought it was pretty fucking stupid. But that was only because I arrived for a 4:00pm show fairly early with my partner and a friend and we used the automatic ticket machine dealies... Two of us bought tickets and when the third went to get one it was sold out. Obviously we weren't going to leave anyone behind so we went to get them exchanged and the next show as at like 6:45 or 7:00 and there's no way we could get a refund. So we had to wait around and kill almost 3 hours to see the fuckin' movie, plus the tickets for that show were more expensive because it wasn't a matinee. Not that the inconvenience was really the theatre's fault particularly it's just that the movie itself wasn't worth that hassel and when I saw the ending I was just pissed. But yeah, looking back it's pretty decent I just thought it was stupid at first because of the initial experience.

Tom Petty
Monochrome Rainbow replied to Ruettiger's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Luc: Neil Young's new album is "Living With War"; it went from production to stores in like 2 months or soemthing. He rocks out pretty hard for an old timer; but the lyrics aren't as strong as they could be. All in all a pretty decent album; I like it but it's definitely not my favourite of his. The first single is "Let's Impeach The President"; it's one of the worst tracks on the album, in my opinion. Also, there's now way RHCP ripped the guitar from Tom Petty. There's a really loose similarity in the chord progression but nothing even close to really compare.
