"Should have been a video or a single with it" Also, a greatest hits should be the best singles, not "Every single released other than two from WLRRR and what was on AOB because AOB didn't sell". MG just doesn't have the legacy that they were basing the tracklisting on. They have some extremely strong and influencial singles, but a fair share of weaker singles are on the record too. Maybe they should have thrown on a cover or another new song in exchange for a few singles (ie Rico, Indestructible, Haven't Slept In Years). Adding Anti-Pop and Carmelina would have helped things too, maybe even Raygun. They also spread themselves too thin in terms of resources; All Together, Comfortable Criminals, or Annabelle should have been on the GH CD with Ponyboy as opposed to offering bonuses for those who bought it through itunes. Everything other than the tracklisting on the actual singles CD was perfect though.

Let's face it, television is still the way to go in terms of promotion. The GH needed a music video, radio is nice but it's not enough. And television is certainly a much better outlet than your personal blog. Universal dropped the ball with advertising (I'm not even aware of any commericals that aired) but Matt's reluctance to shoot videos may have contributed to that too, I really have no idea if that came into play at all though. I'd say that Universal mostly fucked up, but I get the impression they just don't really care about MG anymore. I'm a subscriber to Universal's newsletter and they didn't even feature IAC in that. They've more or less abandoned all hope and fucked the dog since WWRRR. Quite frankly I'm surprised they did what they did for Avalanche (even though that wasn't exactly a whole lot but at least it was something), they seemed to be a lot less concerned after the demise of MGB.

Where are you getting your information from here? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything because we all know the validity of any poll, but everything I read or watch is saying that the Conservatives are dominating BC like crazy.

I think he was just being sarcastic, Matt. Edit: And I too believe Martin is more qualiied than Harper to be Prime Minister, and whatever relationship he had with Chretien really doesn't reflect his qualifications for becoming Prime Minister. He very well could be a backstabber, but I beleive that there are multiple sides to the story (as with everything) and the only people that are actually 100%-completely-and-utterly-certain of how things have gone down in terms of the relationship between Martin and Chretien are Martin and Chretien. You can argue that it is an indication of Martin's character or whatever but to me, the bottom line is that I'm not basing my vote on word of mouth from some outside source (in any case, unless it is extremely credible; ie Justice Gomery) on an issue that to me is irrelevant to his ability to represent the needs of Canadians. I treat the Conservative party and Stephen Harper the same way, I just happen to dislike 90% of what comes out if his mouth, so he's guaranteed the loss of my vote. Either way I'm probably voting NDP anyway (local MP is a mighty fine candidate, plus I am not opposed to more NDP representation in the House of Commons), I just don't understand the majority of the Liberal hate.

I loooooove tea. Any of it. Regular tetleys, orange pekoe, ice tea, mostly herbal teas though (lemon rocks, I like raspberry, peach, vanilla are all good. green tea is excellent). And loose leaf is the best. Never ever put honey in tea before though.

that makes me sad because maybe they were getting the liquor for their weddding. that's the only reason i see to buy that much. Not necessarily. A couple years ago me and about 3 other people had like 250-something beers (2 of the guys worked at breweries and it was all free) in our trunk so we just lined the fucking thing with garbage bags, filled it with ice and turned the car into a giant portable cooler. We just drove around (had a designated driver) and drank from like, 9pm to 10am the next morning. I lived in a small town and we just drove around to like 3 different parties that were happening at the time and shared our booze and acquired harder alcohol from random people. Needless to say we were all pretty drunk. Thankfully no one was poisoned or anything, (though two were extremely close to needing medical assistance, we were starting to get a little concerned). That was an interesting time for me, I don't really drink a lot. I've been drunk like 4 times in my life, maybe one or two more and I've drank a few times (never been hung over either). It does take a lot to get me drunk though, which is weird because I don't drink a lot. I've tried absynthe though, which was interesting. Different experience anyway. Smoked pot a few times but it's never done anything, except the time we got some with traces of something that we still don't know for sure what it was, we didn't think it was what we were getting though. That fucked me up. I started playing this crazy video game about WW2 and all I remember is ducking around and falling out of the chair and curling up trying to dodge these bombs and bullets and shit. I was trembling and scared shitless. I remember I was trying to keep my head up a bit too because I didn't want to drown in the water. In the game we were advancing onto the beaches of Normandy. I wasn't against drinking or anything but I've never had any interest in other drugs. Oddly I've never ever planned to drink any time I've drank. It's all just happened spur of the moment (even the trunk thing, we just ran into the guys that were in town for a bit and had no idea what they were gonna do with their beer or how they would transport it anywhere). Now since my girlfriend's aunt had passed away because of an alcohol related problem and I've seen how it can affect families I can't drink more than 2 drinks without getting an immediate crazy crazy headache. If the drink smells stronger it's even worse for some reason. I don't really care though, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

No, Load Me Up was godawful. Seriously, what would compel anyone to do that? It's fucked up. I liked Fated. The girl should have sang more of them. Every tune would have been much better with her vocals. Well, there was no saving Load Me Up.
