A friend emailed me this link this morning. I don't really know tht much about Starbuck's and any real history they've had with the arts or entertainment but it seems kind of interesting. What does everyone think? Do any Starbuck's regulars post on the Bored (I myself have only ever been once or twice)? Don't Look Back. Bob Dylan documentary. I missed the last 20 minutes last night because my girlfriend's dad called to tell her he had to put her dog to sleep because it got really sick really fast. The vet thinks she had a tumour that burst and she was bleeding into herself, I guess. Erin was really upset obviously because she had the dog for most of her life so I felt really bad for her. Anyway, I'll have to rewatch the documentary but it was pretty awesome so far. They basically followed Dylan around for 3 weeks while he was touring; this was just before he went electric and was still solo acoustic.

I actually really like the original version of True Love Will Find You In The End, it's probably my favorite Daniel Johnston song... There's a lot of his stuff that I really can't get into but he has some gems in his catalouge too. The Beck cover is a really great cover, I like it almost as much as the original... Obviously technically speaking Beck's version is superior and it's generally really impressive regardless, but there's just something about Johnston's version that sounds so pure and sincere to me that's really overwhelming; I enjoy it more for that reason.

I like the gnome idea. Rabbits (something like the rabbit from IAC) in a lab coat or surgical apron or something would be cool too. Some crazy, blurry, fuzzy image of paramedics loading a stretcher into an ambulance? That would be neat if we found a good image to work with or if someone has m4d drawing skillz.

Yeah, there are a few that will do a few things to help for the sake of helping; the only practical reason for having a name is it can entice other people who normally wouldn't consider doing much to take on some responsibility by having them take the group more seriously. The more organized we appear the more hands we'll have to work with and as lame as this sounds, people will want to be a part of the group more if it has a good name and they feel like they're a part of something. People are sheep. In some ways it really blows because of the extra steps you have to take to persuade people but I guess it's kinda neat in some ways because they can be really easy to manipulate with the proper methods. ;) :angry: :angry:

Meh, I had a feeling it was coming after seeing how Dave and Matt talked during the Gonna Meet A Rockstar special... Just didn't seem right. Was kinda down though because I had really wanted to see them in concert and was really impressed by every album. But then again I would rather what we have now than 3 or 4 records like BM or AOB.

The Underdogs is good, I like that one. I was trying to think of something related to MG specifiically but there's not much that works well. Champions of Nothing is kinda cool; it promotes the new album specifically and Matthew Good. We could also use some medical terminology as it relates to the album... The Medical Students? Discharge Planning Department? The Hospitalists/Physicians? I dunno... They're decent.
