  1. I don't know if he's got it in him. The difference between WLRRR and Avalanche is so black and white that it's almost as if he channeled the soul of Dave Genn to help him write Avalanche.
  2. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be wonderful. I'm just having a hard time adjusting my imagination to even begin to ponder the concept.
  3. I'm missing something. What card?
  4. Do you think he'd be a flying Elvis in the US despite the work Visa? Better yet, do you think he'd be a Flying Elvis on SNL if Dan Aykroyd were to pull some strings?? Like a ripcord, perhaps?
  5. Q) Well who remembers when Tragically Hip became famous in the US? A) It caught on when they played Grace, Too on SNL. They had their fan base in Northern and Central New York, of course, but they didn't really get great national exposure until that episode. Follow-up Question. Q) Who demanded that they be the musical guest for him to host? A) The one and only... Elwood Blues. (Dan Aykroyd) Follow-up Question #3 Q) Who did Matthew Good recently do a benefit show with in Kingston, ON? A) The Tragically Hip, hosted by (again) Dan Aykroyd. Follow-up Question #4 Q) Could he probably make SNL happen? A) Yes HOWEVER Q) Would he? A) I doubt it.... Come on, people. He just canceled the US branch of his tour because of the cost of the work Visas. Do you really think he'd do it for SNL? And what would his message be? I hate for the way you voted and I hate the way you're screwing up the world?
  6. You know, when I saw him I was really praying for a Who cover. I thought I had it when he played Ex-Pats (it was the first time he played it live ever). I got to hear it twice because it was an open-air show and I was there for the sound-check. I was impressed.
  7. Virginity? There is no sex in the champagne room, y'all. Please stay protected, and if at all possible, remain abstinent at the concert. Public indecency is an arrestable crime.
  8. I'm so shocked he played the rat who would be king! I thought he never played that live. You lucky bastard. I want it.
  9. I'm vibing you. Pontiac Vibe Heh heh
  10. No way. Michael Moore was very famous for Roger and Me which I believe was filmed in 1989 about the General Motors plant closing in Flint Michigan. He's been on the radar for awhile now. Since filming Roger and Me, he's had a film or television documentary to hit the media every other year since then. He's recently announced a new film to come out in 2005 called "Sicko."
  11. I don't know if this horse really needs to be beaten anymore. Who cares what she spent on the video? Her main objective is clearly to capture the soft-weaknesses of people who obviously forget about the hardships and terrors of the third world and inspire them to get up and make a difference. I think she did a good job with that.
  12. If you missed it last season (its inaugural season) then you really don't know what you missed. Some of the smartest writing the pop-culture world has ever seen.
  13. Work in corporate America for awhile and be amazed by how little foreign (though not overseas, yet Canada is still foreign) subsidiaries have in terms of global impact through American indegenous enterprises. You'll see who really cares that Universal ever had a Canadian subsidiary. Not saying that I agree with the notion, but I'd have to admit that it's the truth. Especially in my industry.
  14. yeah, like Dan Aykroyd, Sum 41, or our favorite Jagged Little Pill.
  15. I'm not even mentioning $NF again. I think the idea somewhat illicits an environment where people are less inclined to share and more inclined to machine-gun-post in hopes of acquiring shows that you could get elsewhere for free. I have several full-length shows on my web servers including the Ottawa show, the St. Catharines show, and others from the past (old Toronto shows, etc.). It's too bad I can't just find a trading board.
  16. Rosie, I know you're here! Make it happen!
  17. Have you heard it? I much prefer Gunther. Would you like to be my benefactor and buy Bespin for me? Or perhaps you'd like to just send me the $NF?
  18. All that hard earned $NF for an utter ear-sore. It's not even funny. How can you call it a joke band when it's not even funny? It should be called a 'not-funny-band'. On my way to earning back that $NF
  19. I totally know what you mean, but Britney Spears' breasts will sell tickets. Matt Good's breasts... well. Let's not go there (chalk up another $NF for me!)
  20. I hear he's going to be in $NFland soon! Cha ching!
  21. He would be $NF Man! Look I just got one!
  22. Yeah, if anyone knew who he was... (One $NF for me! Cha ching!)
  23. How could you have just discovered "Anti-Pop?" I'd have to say "Deep Six"
  24. Love it... Most intelligent thing I've heard in all the 55 minutes that is "today"
  25. Again... simmer. Enjoy your weekend. It's so nice here.
