If you had a Ford F250 with a 12 gallon tank (I know, they don't make those) you'd only pay $45. Just saying. Your fuel-efficiency has no play when it comes down to the fact that we're being gouged like crazy just because they've got us by the balls.

$65 isn't that bad. I mean, it's like 3/4 of a tank of gas. That's what you should be pissed about.

Ahh, over on the right hand side. There were some real douchebags over there, I don't mind telling you. I was trying to get back to my wife with a couple beers and some tiny little dude gave me this attitude like "go around. I'm ETS." Okay, whatever that means. I suppose that considering that little punk I'm glad the sound sucked on that side of the stage. It's the show he deserved. -

The ale house is just a bad music venue, man. We drove almost 1000 miles round trip (we just got home at 9:15 tonight) and I just wasn't impressed with the venue itself. Why would you make the actual stage floor so small? Side note: my wife is watching the MTV awards right now and the pussycat dolls are on and wow they suck. -

As an ex-Electrical Engineer, I found last night's show to be top notch. -
Following the pressure and built-up hype of the Massey Hall show, we've come to the release. It's the last night of a four day stretch and Matt Good and his band are able to chew their gum as they leave the mountain into the valley. The release was as comforting to those in the audience tonight as it must have been for those catering to us on stage. Upon first sight you could see the wear of his week. Some people perform best under pressure, and some just perform best. As expected, Matt Good gave us a show, and he made it the art that he expects to deliver. Nobody is forgotten and no city is the weak link of the tour no matter how "rock star" these past four days have forced Matthew Good to be. He knows all-too-well that entire regions gauge his value based on the execution of everything from Time Bomb (for the millionth time) to the precise cues of Single Explosion so fresh in his full band repertoire. He opened the show with a one-two punch of legacy. Enter Hospital Music. Just when you thought you knew Matthew Good for his Juno-twentysomething-hitmaking-heroics, he goes and delivers the 'Pet Sounds' of his catalog with the most capable green-horn crew. He plays these tracks as if they are his life, and we listen knowing they could be ours. Tonight Matthew Good gave us the best of each and every song he played. Kingston has been happily filled with its dear share of Matthew Good, and you can expect venues with any room to spare to have said room filled by those ready for some Kingston dessert. People love a show, and a show they have seen. Without further adieu, here is the setlist (courtesy of Paul McManus himself.) Giant Time Bomb Single Explosion Odette Born Losers Devil's in your details Load me up Put out your lights Blue Skies over badlands Black Helicopter 99% of us is failure I'm a window Apparitions (with band) Weapon *Encore* Champions of Nothing Alert Status Red Everything is Automatic

Hoodies are stylish and cool with a zip up front. They go for $65 a piece and they are limited to one-size for girls.

No, that's me singing at my brother's wedding. I played "Hold you in my arms" by Ray Lamontagne.

It was "tomorrow" five days ago. Ha ha. What kind of update can we be expecting?

I've never been to a show where it hasn't happened.... so...

Lucky little tour, man. I saw him at the Highline Ballroom in NYC, then I saw him at IOTA in Arlington, VA. We were supposed to see him (and had tickets) at the Middle East Cafe in Cambridge, MA. But it was Easter, my wife is Italian and well... it was easter. yay Jesus.
-
My wife came home from NYC tonight (we live in Washington DC) and said "I listened to Hospital Music the whole way home. Let's go up for the Kingston show next weekend." So I have tickets, a hotel room, and an 18 hour round trip drive ahead of me. See you there! My third in two months. Craziness.

St. Catharines Show June 12th, Help Plz.

Nooo, soundcheck was at like 2 or 3 o'clock when I saw him there. We literally went to the mall, played mini blacklight golf, ate a bucket of poutine, and then went back for the show with PLENTY of time. -

Ahh, Arizona's was my first Matt Good show. It was in 2003. I was living with my wife (then fiance) in Syracuse NY and she had a graduate final the next morning. We drove out to the show (in the middle of nowhere) and were lucky enough to catch the soundcheck. I remember, frankly, being pretty starstruck seeing them play from across the field.... So anyway, I'd guess that Arizona's holds about 1,000 people. You'll think you're nowhere when you get off the exit to the venue, and then you'll come around the corner and see fields of corn, farm, nothingness, and then a bar. It's kind of like From Dusk Til Dawn without the pyramid. You're going to have a great time. Buy your tickets in advance, prepare for a long line guarded by cheap fences, and I'll bet you $1,000 that Matt plays a song standing in the middle of the highway. I guarantee he'll talk about how he's playing a show "for free" for anyone who pulls up along side the road. Frankly, if you BYOB, you can really do that. You can just park in the lot, cross the road and go see him in a lawn chair from a corn field across the road. I'm jealous. I live in DC now. (But I did get to hang out with him in Arlington, VA.) -
So is this dead? Again, you can see my cover at http://www.myspace.com/kpiercemusic

When you get there go to the soundboard and talk to Paul. Ask him if you can have his setlist after the show. He's a really nice guy and as long as you don't give him shit or annoy him he'll probably give it to you. He actually came out to find me with it. -
The intro is one of my favorite parts....

I have a cover of Long Way Down that Rukusu helped on. http://www.myspace.com/kpiercemusic Feel free to snag it

I've been to Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal... All over Ontario and Quebec. I grew up just outside of Ottawa, but I live in Washington DC now.

So my wife and I were talking about flying up to Vancouver for the shows in June, but honestly after seeing him in a club with 100 people I don't really want to fly cross country to see him in a crowded venue. So my question is, how often does he tour Europe? I'd much rather go see him in London in a place where he's a little less-known and still have things to do. Don't get me wrong, I respect Vancouver and the "what to do's" there, but I love Europe. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or any patterns? Do you think we could expect one in the fall, for example?

I thought the Rat who would be king was also on that list. I could be wrong.

Matt didn't write it. I did. I had a half hour to kill this morning waiting in Logan airport. It's a personal thing between me, Buffalo, its women, and its sports teams.
-
Dear Buffalo, We know you have heart, a knack for turning scrap meats into spicy fingerfood, and shitloads of cereal. But you really don't need to brag about it all the time. Congratulations on keeping Vanek around this season (at $166,666.00 per point... Yes, Buffalo. I know you're not so good at the math, but you're paying Thomas Vanek nearly three times your average annual household income everytime he passes it to a guy who passes it to someone else and scores a goal.) But that doesn't mean you need to go to on a Southwest division road trip and pour your beer on a guy in Atlanta, for example. This, Buffalo, is what the rest of the world likes to call "poor judgement." I've only been there once, but I'm pretty sure the average barista in Atlanta can kick your ass if not put a venti-sized cap in it. It also doesn't mean you need to spoil entire US tours that are more infrequent than having a non-Clinton or non-Bush as President. Why am I not surprised that the rest of us equate you with Philadelphia after all this? The irony is that while the rest of us will have to go to Canada to see the full band tour (we know we won't see another 'tour for a loss' down here with an entire band in tow), he'll probably be in Buffalo again soon. So now you'll have Thomas Vanek, chicken wings, cereal, a need for etiquette classes, and most-likely another Matt Good show. But you don't have to be such dicks about it. Through all of this nobody has learned that Buffalo is entitled to nothing. Hell, none of us are, but with your track record of failed Eastern Conference finals, wide-right kicks, and being dangerously close to bankruptcy you still can't keep your mouth shut and your luck in the piggy bank. With regard to the bankruptcy; you should all be giving Tom Golisano daily rim-jobs. Wait, you're Buffalo. You are definitely giving Tom Golisano daily rim-jobs. Just stop fucking it all up for the rest of us. Your drunken swagger on Chippewa isn't warranted just because you live in the land that God forgot. It is true that disruptive children typically receive the most attention, but you, Buffalo, are not a child. You are the land that God forgot, and that is all. (Which is proof that Matt Good isn't god because he happened to remember you.) Simmer down. Have a roast beef sandwich on rolls caked in road salt, drink sixteen labatt blues before lunch, and just take a nap. It's okay to take one day off out of the year where you don't feel the need to convince yourselves -out loud - that Buffalo is awesome. Buffalo is about as awesome as Sarah Jessica Parker is hot. With that said, nice win over Boston.

"In a world where a man hated Philadelphia and fluke wins (insert action montage here) one man (cut to slo-mo clip of gomo walking in front of fire) took it personally... Starring the Gomo as Bruce Willis as anyone and the Philly Fanatic as... we're not sure yet. Universal Studios brings you 'Philadelphia II... Electric Boogaloo. And this time it's gayer than ever.'"
