With all-due respect, 52% of America could very well have made the decision to cut off their foot on Tuesday and it would still be a decision. My posts may be interpreted as Bush-bashing, but more than anything they represent the fear I have as an American over the next four years. We won't be able to comfortably travel overseas. We'll push-on with a national moral battle with the assumption that the word "Moral" means the same thing to you as it does to me. In my opinion, this re-election is truly when Bush's administration became a regime to be feared. No longer does he have to worry about playing the right cards to be re-elected. No longer does he really have to worry about losing his job amidst his blatant decision making revolving around special interests. I fear that censorship will culminate into an all-time high, and I fear that this war we've just begun will become epic in the sense that until an entire race is wiped out there will be no victor. "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." -- Albert Einstein

We'll see how that works down here when the iminent police-state starts to kick in full-effect.

It also says a lot about the bible-hugging, tradition strong-holding rednecks that have this country has been damned with.

Do you even know what you just wrote?

One should take better note of reflections before using words like "degenerate."

You are so misinformed. I feel so sorry for you. You partook in the re-election of a civil-rights-abusing, God-fed moron who has nothing but garnered wealth in his refining of Iraq with all its untapped oil resources. No-bid contracts. God here, God there. You're a hypocrite for thinking you can fight God with God. Remember that the war with Iraq/Terror(loosely) isn't about fighting a tangible enemy. It's about fighting an idea. An idea that we feed ten-fold with every insurgent that we kill. Now that we're unable to rely on God, what do we do? Tell me what you know about Liberia, buddy. Tell me all about it. Then do me the favor of telling me why we aren't there without using the word "Halliburton." I dare you. (Nothing but a bunch of black-hating, gay-bashing, God-fearing southern racists. Thanks for representing....) This is why Trey Parker and Matt Stone are yet so correct again.

But Osama isn't the threat. Saddam Hussein is..... (flushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

I'm voted for Kerry this morning because I think it was the right thing to do. Simple enough.

Tragically Hip - Live in Toronto 7/1/04... Fantastic show. -
I mean no personal offense to anyone. I guess sometimes I long for some real discussion past all the idolizing. I think my qualm is that sometimes people really disagree with the way Matthew Good reinforces his "message." It's sad because he's got a good message, and he acts emotionally like everyone else does. That's why he's such a controversial person. His outlook is incredibly humane and very difficult to morally disagree with. However, I think that sometimes the way he quirps off-handed cheap shots with his blog is more critical than suggestive. He's shutting people out for the same reason that people shut him out; because he just doesn't want to listen to them. Don't you think that he could possibly have a really good rally with the greater-population rather than be known as a "dickhead" by a fair share of the public? It's really not what you say... it's how you say it. It just looks like a classic example of cognitive dissonance from the outside, that's all. Also known as being able to dish it and not take it.

You're witnessing the first and perhaps only time in my life when I consciously wished that "sheep" was an eight character word.

I'm not saying that anyone has to disagree or agree with anything that anyone says. My point is that when you make the decision to put yourself up on the soap box of life, you have to expect to have some tomatoes thrown at you once in awhile. These metaphorical fruits can be purveyed in several different ways, and it's unfortunate that spamming and unruly behavior is one of them. However, it seems to be effective. If "I can't handle it" is part of the message you want to relay to people, then by all means, handle it like Matthew Good.

It's all about the labeling. If you're not "for the war" then you're "not supporting the troops." Why do politicians try to throw black-and-white spins on circumstancial decisions and actions made by people while claiming them to be flip-floppers? I'm all for liberation, but I'm not too naive to know that Iraq has a lot of untapped crude oil with so few refineries. No-bid contracts? What the hell kind of morons do they think we are?

I've got a PS2 with NHL 2003, NHL 2004, Tiger Woods Golf 2003, and True Crime Streets of LA. It comes with the box, the serial codes, the paperwork, two controllers, and an 8 mb memory card. If you're interested, then make an offer and we can negotiate shipping charges. I'd like at least $100 US for this because the controllers are $30 a piece, the memory card is $20 a piece, and the games are $20 a piece at current value. That's $130 and we haven't even brought in the cost of the PS2 itself yet.

So at what point does she make out with Bill Murray?
-
Yes, I would be upset, but how can you not expect that kind of immature (I won't even call it criticism) response with the controversial tone that he surrounds himself with? So many more high-profile people can find balance in their broadcasts that keep them from dealing with the things that Matthew Good evokes with his prose. And when these people do deal with such instances, they can typically handle it with less emotion and more panache than Matthew can. Maybe that's the difference between gold records and multi-platinum records?

He's kind of a hypocrite, guys. He has a tendency to withhold certain liberties from people on an ongoing basis. Freedom this... freedom that... just not here, all right? - I'm only in it for the music anyway. I don't really care what Utopic extremist views he has.
-
Right you are, Kenny!

Team America.... Holy crap.

Nader may neither be Republican nor Democrat, but he is an extremist. If Ralph Nader were to be elected, (and assuming the President had any real power) I think you'd see a lot of changes being made that would just catch you so off-guard that you'd spend the next four years wondering why the hell you never bothered to learn anything about the candidates before you voted.

The bending on Rat who would be king is almost impossible to keep in tune when singing along. Most of these songs require two guitars to sound right anyway, though. The delay in Man of Action is hard to replicate without the proper hardware, too.
