Nothing Else Matters- Metallica -
Fuck, I forgot how amazing that album is. If you're wondering, I usually only listen to my CD's at work and I mostly just bring the singles disc from in a coma so I don't get to listen to the other stuff (except on the computer but that's always on random) On a side note... something has bugged me about In A Coma since it came out... "It's been awhile since I was your man" "Carmelina" and "Anti-pop" all aren't on there... why? at first I thought maybe he didn't like those songs... but then once I realized that "Rico" was on it I was confused again. so riddle me this... whats up with that?

According to reports Tool is doing what NIN did last year. a small venue tour to kick off the rust of not preforming together in so long, then an arena tour. heres hoping they make the arena tour as extensive as NINs was

i've seen all of those bands except system. i saw white zombie on the astro creep tour so guess what i got? nothing but white zombie tunes. fuck i'm old. Can we do some kind of mind meld so I can have your memories of the White Zombie concert? All I need to know did they play Blood Milk and Sky? That is, without a doubt, my all time favorite song, so I'm curious. -

Neverending White Lights

I am SO with you on that one. Raine can't sing worth a damn these days (not that he was great before but he is worse now) -
I hope I'm not alone in this. Neverending White Lights is what some people might call an experiment. Concieved by Daniel Victor. Every track on the album has a different singer. I'm not sure if anyone else here is into stuff like this but I find this album to be completely amazing. Guest appearances include Scott Anderson (Finger Eleven) Dallas Green (Alexisonfire/City and Colour) Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace)and Daniel Greves (The Watchmen). I seriously recommend checking it out. Official website Myspace Profile

Nine Inch Nails

I saw them back in November at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. I thought it was a fucking amazing show. I lost my nin concert virginity and so did all my friends. every moment of that night sent shivers up my spine (even the part where I got raped but I didn't care because I had just seen nin) something I thought was great was all my friends that were at NIN with me were at System Of A Down in September. None of them are really huge NIN fans so all I heard before the show was "well, it won't be as good as System but it should be pretty good" and after the show all I heard was "HOLY FUCK! THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT EVER!" good times -
I just wanted to tell you all that I have seen Matt many many times and last nights show was the my favorite matt concert. for those of you who are going to be seing him still on this tour, you are really in for a treat. and as for Melissa (the opener) Matt could not have chosen someone more perfect to open for him. I met her after her set (she was autographing copies of her CD) and she was very nice and seemed really down to earth. enjoy by the way, It goes NIN, Matt then Johnny Cash for their versions of Hurt. that is a fact and no one can argue with me because I say so.

my least favorite matt song is easily "Every Name Is My Name" I love almost every song that you people have said you dislike.

I think that they should just get someone that does impersoantions to come in and do chefs voice exactally the same... just to cheeze off Isaac. -
all and then some... but I feel shamed by what Monochrome Rainbow posted regarding what he has so I won't even bother.

I had no idea that it was released as a single back then. there wasn't a video or anything I guess. and dan #2, I don't know who would get them in trouble. maybe the station manager? the program director? I'm not sure. although, now that I think about it, when Orgy came around, their first single was supposed to be "stitches" but radiostations decided to play "blue Monday" for nostalga reasons. Same with The Ataris and that stupid ass cover of Boys Of Summer. Their first single was supposed to be "in this diary" and apparently, the video for "Boys of summer" was actually recorded as the video for "in this diary" but when B.O.S. because a radio hit, they just used that video for the song. maybe people on the radio can play whatever the hell that they want!!! that'd rock considering I'm going into broadcasting. I'd have a lot of fun with that.
-
So today at work, the radio was changed to Power 97 (the best rock station here in Winnipeg.) It was the middle of the "all request Power Lunch" and to my surprise they were playing "Flashdance II" I've called radio stations before and requested songs that weren't released for radio play and they say that they could get in trouble for playing it. Does this mean that Flashdance II was released? seriously, when the hell did that happen? (not that I'm complaining! I was happy!)

Tim, you and I make a great team. It seems that people named Tim are just awesome... we rule the land of people named Tim.

Corpse Bride isn't out until the 23rd, but I saw it on the 15th because I got a free double pass to an advance showing of it. I really enjoyed it, it was funny and made well. I recommend it to all.

okay, I was super tired when I started this thread. Cowboys is great for intimate shows. Matt Good played at this venue with the dears and it was amazing. Tickets went on sale this afternoon at the front desk of the Canad Inns Windsor Park (only there as far as I know) Also, you must be 18 years of age or older to attend. That should be it.
-
Who: Matt Good (duh) What: A concert (again, duh) When: October 25th, 2005 Where: Cowboys (Canad Inns Windsor Park) Why: Because he loves Winnipeg (take THAT Regina!!!) How: well you see... ah screw it.... be there or... be somewhere else equally important!!!

Well... Musician is such a general word. I would say he is my favorite artist... if I was going by Musician, then Trent Reznor would beat him out. The way my top 3 favorite bands/artists lays out righ tnow is: Nine Inch Nails Matt (gb also included as #2) A Perfect Circle

Agreed!!! 5 times... (counting... yes, 5 times) just isn't enough!

Wow! I've gotten SO into this band in a huge way. There are 15 members in the band (4 of which only appear on one track) and I've got to say, their CD (funeral) is damn near perfect. There isn't one track I dislike, and there are many that have reached the top on my "most played" list. Outstanding track include (but aren't limited to) Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) Neighborhood #4 (Power Out) Neighborhood #4 (7 Kettles) Wake Up (which features all 15 members) In The Backseat I seriously recommend this album to anyone who is up for something different.

Um... I wouldn't say that it is all "fart jokes and guy humor" actually, now that I think abou tit, I'm not sure if there was even one fart joke in it. There is a lot of "guy humor" in it I suppose but I went with a female friend of mine and she doesn't usually like guy humor and she loved the movie. Also, Steve Carell on the Daily Show... PRICELESS. John: "So... are you going to file a report or...? Steve: "No, I don't do that anymore" John: "oh, well what is it that you do?" Steve: "I'm in movies now" John: "ah......." Steve: "......." John Stewart should try doing more movies, he is hilarious!
