That's actually a really awesome idea. Matt should have some sort of fan video contest. Hell, i'd do it even if there wasn't a prize. Hell, i'd do it now but i need to get some decent PC video editing software.

Megin-sane is right in stating that to expect to see some guy hunt rabbits is taking the song too literally. I myself, was expecting a really overtly cheesy animation (a la waking life) of matt playing live to a crowd. I think the fact that there's an audience in the background of the song scares me with its video potential. With that said, i was enormously pleased when they didn't show any audience singalong in the animation what so ever. Personally i think it fit quite well (excluding the live audio.) I think the video matched the lyrics and their meaning and that they complemented one another quite well. But i am just one man.

True. But that meant he had to take out the "Look at the world and you tell me it's alright" lyric, which i thought was the only good part of the original song. I think the song works much better in the Rooms version.

No what i expect is decent acting, a good director and a decent adapted script. Or rather that's what i would prefer. What i expect from Goblet of Fire is another candy coated piece of crap whose sole purpose is to entertain 8 year olds with dazzling special effects. If you're going to argue that the Harry Potter movies are great, then this conversation is done.

Dr. Scudworth: "I've watched the first two-thirds of the MC Hammer Behind the Music, and if there is one thing I learned about money, it's that it never runs out." ------------------------------- Next time on a very special clone high, Will Abe and Joan's student films reveal their true feelings for one other? How will Scudworth get himself out of another dangerous pickle? And what will become of Gandhi? I'd tell you but I haven't seen the episode yet, they were supposed to send it to me but there's this guy at work who totally hates me. If he gets me fired....... I'm going to kill his dog. (show ends) ------------------------------- Narrator: Hey, you miss an episode, it

Shotgun Wedding likes teh bum sex with Matte Babel!!1! Amanda and Bradford are probably the only good vj's Much has ever had. That redheaded kid Aaron showed potential but he was smart enough to get out while he had the chance.

Bon Jovi
static replied to X-Rated Truffle Pig's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
The only good thing that Bon Jovi ever did, was die in Cry_Wolf. .....which i totally didn't see.... -
I havent seen it yet, but that totally makes it worth watching.

The movies suck. Plain and simple. They fuck around with the story so it flows better. And i dont mean cut some parts out. I mean change the storyline or the flow of events. I can't STAND that. Prisoner of Azkaban was decent however, because even though it screwed with the story it did it in a concise and logical way. Plus the long dolly in during the "patronus across the lake" scene was really cool. When i heard they were making Goblet of Fire only 2 hours long i gave up completly.

Generation X-Wing. I never considered it all that great until the Rooms version.

ROUND 1: GROUP A 1) Flashdance II 2) Rat Who Would Be King 3) Tripoli (Rooms) 4) If Birds Don't Fly Straight 5) Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance (anyone that picked Push totally sucks. Its almost as bad as Coming Out in Purple. Not to mention that Life Beyond is one of Matt's best tracks...ever.) 6) Man From Harold Wood (Trolley was funny but this song was really beautiful) 7) The Fine Art of Falling Apart 8) A Better Pain 9) Four Minute Mile (its not as lyrically brillaint but its performed better)

I agree. Every time i hear the song i wait in anticipation for the "swim with the fishes" lines

Brand New Tune or As Long As You're Mine

They're buried under spoilers. My only explanation is that people either havent read anything past the first part of the thread, or are very persistent about finding it themselves and would like to constantly remind us about their quest. EDIT: OMG that was post 300. I'm moving on up.

I know how you feel. I got two copies of Radiohead's Hail to the Theif last year, and was pissed off that i had to return both of them because (being copyprotected) wouldnt play on my cd walkman (which is where i would primarily listen to it.)

I couldn't agree more. I agree with everything except the Strange Days comment. The original is awesome. The acoustic is nothing special.

I guess you have to expect all flak when you post A HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT songs in YOUR preferential order. When you've got that many, everyone's got to disagree somewhere. My number 1 has always been Weapon. But Prime Time Deliverance is a close second.

Everything about In A Coma was awesome. If i started to rave about it, i wouldn't be able to stop. I was hoping for commentary on the new video, and the ending of PTD to be complete. But otherwise it was astoundingly great.

I liked the idea behind the whole movie and i liked the acting and everything else. But i just didn't like the fact that it was trying to be passed as reality. Of course you're going to hear comments like "Must be a chinaman driving..." or "he gyped me out of my money." But most people aren't as racist as this movie seemed to show. It was too pessimistic for my liking. And this is coming from a moderate pessimist. But it was a good movie, and accomplished what it set out to do.

I thought the video was brilliant personally, and among his best. (I rank it #3 or #4.) I might be buying too much into it, but i always saw the rabbits (mentioned in the song and shown in the video) to be represenative of innocence and happiness. The man writes all over the board in an attempt to capture it, but he can't hold happiness simply by writing. And so the rabbits get away, and as the man chases them down he passes all of his inner monkies/demons. They're shown beating each other up, drinking booze, vegging out in front of the tv and ok..yes dancing in dresses. Maybe my theory is destroyed there. I'd also like to add that the scene with the monkey in the lazyboy chair was AWESOME.
