  2. JESUS CHRIST YES.
  3. Yasa's right, it's from an archaeology book/peer reviewed journal thing I own, I don't know if it is on the internet. You can easily find that sea levels were definitely that much lower by searching it though. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/warnings/waterworld/ Since civilization almost always takes root on coasts (and river deltas), not inland, a huge part of the historical record has been lost. They've found giant stone cities and temples underwater off the coasts of India, Japan and a few other places. Some of these things appear to date from well over 10,000 years ago. (According to contemporary archaeology, man had just begun making mudbrick a little over 7000 years ago). Fascinating book.
  4. I tried, but I only got to 11 before I stopped caring.
  5. Yeah, it may be a little overblown, but I'd definitely take the word of the creator's son over... anyone else's regarding the subject at hand. EDIT: Keep in mind this interview took place 20 years before the massive hype it's gotten recently.
  6. During and after the last ice age, when the ice caps were bigger, it is estimated that the oceans were over 100 metres lower, resulting in an area of land almost three times the size of Canada exposed more than today. They have recently found buried/submerged cultures and stonework many, many miles underwater off the coasts that throws all contemporary archaeology into question, particularly the origins of civilization being far, far earlier than previously thought.
  7. I had POGs briefly. Lego consumed my whole childhood, but i wouldn't really consider Lego a collectible. I used to scam other kids during the Pokemon craze. I hated those fucking things so much, but I managed to scam about $70-80 from stupid kids. And that was a lot of money in the 5th grade.
  8. Now, it is a Penthouse interview, and there is a semi-NWS picture at the top (the cover of the magazine), but there's nothing objectionable about the article. It looks long, but it's only as long as a regular magazine article. Really interesting though. Lots of shady details in that orgnization, almost entirely to do with L. Ron himself. It's really fucked up. It's worth it to read the whole thing. http://www.lermanet.com/scientologynews/pe...erview-1983.htm I still can't get over the fact that people still believe in this shit, and especially that it's bigger than ever.

    You know it!
  10. Haha these are pretty funny. 438317131 chris is so hot sometimes that i lick the drain after he takes a shower... 117714214 i think that chris is odd 24052166 There was this kid, I'll call him Chris. He beat me up alot in school, I tried to fight back but he was much bigger and stronger. In Biology I was disecting my Crayfish, He came up, slammed his fist down on it and said, What ar you going to do about it cry baby, So I took my scalple, slammed it down on his arm and pulled it back to his hand, left a 12 inch long one inch deep gash that took over 200 stiches to close up. 767739388 I fucking hate you Chris.
  11. People who argue relentlessly with me over the price of liquor at the store I work at, like I'm gonna give them a deal because they're bitching at me. Slow walkers are always a big one. When you slightly miss whilst walking through a door and hit your shoulder on the doorframe. Bratty kids, grouchy old people, and alcoholics.
  12. I have this posted on my wall: It tells you what intervals are in any particular chord. It doesn't give voicings or fingerings, though. It's a good reference, and good to learn from. (the 'j' in some of the chords is shorthand for 'maj7'). This site http://jguitar.com/chord works really well. Just put in the key and type of chord you want, and it'll show you all the common voicings for it. And since, you asked, one voicing of a Db11 is x 4 3 4 2 2 If you want just be able to form these chords from memory, learn the chord formulas in my picture at the top, and figure out which notes it would be for a certain key, then make the shape by finding the notes on the fretboard. Does that answer your question suitably?

    Dreams

The other night I woke up in a cold sweat, disoriented (I had no idea where I was), and extremely tense all over, but all I could remember of the dream was there was lots of ice (think an entire planet of ice). And a bunker of some sort...? Also, someone I haven't seen in years was there. Unfortunately, that's about the most I've remembered from any dream for quite some time now. The only time I remember anything is if they're stressful enough to wake me up, and keep me up.

  16. Only the sheer awesomeness of dinosaurs could defeat Robert Muldoon.
  17. 1.4 pounds of copper.
  18. Ankylosaurus invented the pop-up toaster. And peanut butter.
  19. Pretty self-explanatory. And I want no bitching about the perceived quality (or lack thereof) of this thread.
  20. Cinematic Orchestra - Night Of the Iguana
  21. Peregrine Falcon! Technically the fastest animal on earth, as they have been known to do a controlled dive at up to 420 km/h. Badass.
  22. I think we can all agree that all of the birds of prey are badass. I love watching ospreys go fishing, they have tons of them at Windermere.
