  1. The Rat Who Would Be King, or Suburbia.
  2. Stereophonics' cover of 'Handbags and Gladrags' is amazing...
  3. Audioslave is much more like Soundgarden than Rage. It's a whole different style, in any case.
  4. I like Audioslave... and Soundgarden, too.
  5. No, it's good that they disbanded. The band members weren't happy with each other, and they wanted to end on a high note, which they definitely did.
  6. I have all of them. They must be respected.
  7. Matthew Good is almost unheard of in England, guitarchick.
  8. Second band I ever liked. Love 'em.
  9. By the way... I just typed this up for another forum, and figured you guys might find it interesting too. No, a reliable engineer who's worked in the oil industry for a long time told me. The fact is, we have enough oil to last at least 400 more years, and probably in excess of that if we start to drill in Antarctica and such. Technology is advancing all the time, and we regularly develop more effective ways to drill for oil. Let me explain with some ASCII: --- = Rock *** = Oil III = Drill = = Pipeline ============III ----------------------III----- **************III*** With current technology, we can drill **************III*** this deep. ------------------------- ****************** With further technological advances, we ****************** can reach further. ****************** ------------------------- ****************** And further, and further... ****************** All the time, we're discovering more oil deposits deeper down in the earth's crust. We just can't reach them yet. As we develop better drilling techniques and machinery, we'll be able to reach them and extract them with ease. Now, I believed the peak oil theory wholeheartedly until this was explained to me, and I'm a very stubborn person. Oil companies can overestimate oil production on purpose to increase profits by raising the prices, since most people think oil will run out soon. It'd be nice if we could just stop messing about with war and start making some kind of decent renewable energy, mind you.
  10. So you can tell them I'm coming, and hell's coming with me. (MGB - Suburbia) She is talking through a yawn, and the radio is on; I listen through the thin walls, someone whistling along (Kent - Whistle Song) I train myself in martial arts, as advertised, I reinforce my softened parts, as advertised (Massive Attack - Group Four) I write 1998; It's getting hard to go to sleep at night and hard to get up in the morning. I tell myself, I'm going too hard, too rash, too long, too long (Madrugada - Norwegian Hammerwork Corp.) And isn't it enough? Like Major Reno on the bluff, wondering aloud if help is on the way (Aimee Mann - Today's The Day)
  11. Nobody here knows who Matthew Good is, so... yeah.

    Dusk

I don't know. They're very ambiguous, so they could have a million meanings.
  13. I already do it. Works for me.
  14. Damn, I'd love one of those MGBFC patches. Damn you, England and international shipping.
  15. I also like Bohemian Rhapsody's opening lines, come to think of it. As well as A Distance There Is by Theatre of Tragedy. Pledge of Allegiance is very good, too.
  16. It's from the front of Loser Anthems. 'Are we high now, crazy kids?' Also: http://ytmnd.cdn.lntc.net/data/28050/sound.mp3
  17. ... http://ytmnd.cdn.lntc.net/data/300/sound.mp3 <3 it.

    new dog?

    Don't knock cats, punk.
  19. Holly Cole - Make It Go Away (New Version) And now... Holly Cole Trio - Calling You (Live)
  20. It's all good until people start using blunt objects as weapons.
  21. I heard it before I heard the normal version. I love them both.
