Hey folks, looks like Matt says hospital music released in late july with a full album streaming 6 weeks prior. With my post-secondary education guiding me, I've come to the conclusion that the streaming should begin sometime in early to mid June. I for one am JACKED right up for this one.

I'm starting to forget what they sound like, and I kind of like it that way. I know there are a handful of wicked songs coming down the tubes and I have no means to overplay them before the album release.

holy god. . . i'm loving this track. lyrics, music, i love it all. Now who's going to tab this bad boy?!

Atlantis Hymns For Disco

This album in particular is more of a soul/reggae adventure. There is rapping, but more singing than the last few albums, which I absolutely love. I strongly recommend it, and I despise rap for the most part. -
Hey longroad, when you're jamming to it on your guitar, what chords do you use? I was actually going to sit down and figure it out this week sometime . . .perhaps you could save me some time . . .

That is absolutely hilarious. My roomate and I quoted that EXACT line for about a year after they opened for MGB in Calgary. To this day he's really upset because he was really drunk for that show, and that quote is all he remembers from the whole night.

Have to say, that was a damn fine show! Got to hear 4 songs I've been wishing to hear live for years now (Mrs. Smith, Sort of a protest song, Fated and Fine art of falling apart). He did seem to be really having a good time. Even though the token annoying drunk guy and annoying drunk girl were present, it didn't get out of hand. Has anyone ever heard of a 7 song encore?!

The opening to Tripoli sounds like it would be hard to figure, although I'm pretty crappy at gauging difficulty of some songs. I'd love to try, but I've never successfully tabbed anything. Perhaps its time . . .

thank you kindly does anybody know the actual lyrics?

I think my shock is with the attention as well. For some reason i can't get the image of dubya charging off a helicopter to lend a helping hand. Like him or not, you must admit the man has been involved in the deaths of many. Why would it be that the expiration of one woman who technically hasn't "lived" for 15 years deserves a special treatment over all the other losses of life all around the world. I suppose it makes for a good photo-op. - i also guess this thread does nothing to help the over exposure of the story does it?
-
I have a live version of what is labelled "under the influence", but seems to in fact be something different (contains the lyric "when my baby's with me, i don't want for nothing" . . . or something along those lines). At the end it bleeds into the opening of the "future is x-rated" slow version. I haven't gotten the nfstore version of x-rated, so i'm wondering if this intro is included in it, or have i happened upon something completely different?

hello folks, sorry if i'm in the wrong forum, didn't know where to ask. i downloaded agoraphobe a few days ago (my first download), and now its gone . . . can anyone tell me where the downloads are sent to? thanks

alrighty, never mind, looks like april 26th is the answer to my question. I guess in retrospect this thread is useless, but i got fake virtual money out of the deal . . .

I noticed david usher has a new song on itunes . . . .would this be for a new album?

Mine is a tie between the jeffersons episode and all about mormons . . . both had me laughing damn good

i'm shocked this movie was never released in theaters. i suppose it could have been, i but i don't recall it was. Seems like lots of folks enjoy it.

I can think of few people who scare me more with their ass-backwards logic than this woman. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but her position in the media is downright bothersome to me . . .

I've been following the Schiavo thing for a little while, and the method of death strikes me as a little odd. The topic seems to be with me lately as i work in a lab involving rat brain research. When the brains are required for study, they get an injection that simply puts them into a sleep that they don't wake up from. I realize a new thread exists here on the ethics of this practice, but thats not quite what i'm raising. Wouldn't a simple shot be a little more "humane" than a slow starvation? I don't know the status of people deemed to be "vegetables" . . . perhaps they don't suffer as much as you or I would under times of starvation (perhaps somebody can enlighten me on this). Is the difference between putting a needle in someones arm and removing a feeding tube really that much different?

"murphy's Fighting Hokum, You're In The Stands..."
russic replied to Pharazon's topic in Matthew Good
You know i never even tried to understand that lyric . . . it's much cooler now that i know what he means. -
My girlfriend and i were driving around Banff looking for the venue and a place to eat and wouldn't you know it, he's sitting on some grassy hill waiting for his dog to take a piss. We park the car and contemplate bugging the guy. Eventually we realized there's no way we could ever forgive ourselves if we didn't. I was a little nervous . . . i'd heard he's really nice, but in the off chance he wasn't i knew it would be rough if your main musical inspiration told you off. Happily, he was even nicer than i expected. Showed us where the venue was, told us about his dogs, and asked us to have a great time at the show. I often feel bad for folks who can't let their dogs take a leak without somebody wanting some attention from them, but its nice to know Matt takes the time to connect with people.
