  1. The controller is innovative, I'll give it that. I don't know, it just turns me off. And actually, I think all three consoles are screwed. Why? Well, think of this...X-Box 360 is still using DVD's, PS 3 will be using some type of Blu-Ray Disc, which apparently has twice the capacity of a DVD, and Nintendo is using some sort of mini disc again (I believe, but don't quote me). Well, I just read an article that there is a type of holographic disc that can hold 300 times the capacity of a DVD. It should be in production by this time next year. Just a report, but here's the link... http://www.imdb.com/news/sb/2005-11-28/#3 ...about half way down.
  2. This is the controller I've seen.
  3. How can you love that controller, it looks like a TV remote. How can you play games on it? It looks physically impossible.
  4. I'm not judging you. But, if you compare Nintendo to the rest of the big boys, you'll find it lacks in power. My point in the age question, is that if you look at the demographics, Nintendo is most popular with the younger generation, while Microsoft and Sony is more popular with the adult generation. Also, if anyone is judging, it's you. You seem to be a little hardheaded on the Nintendo side, and are very quick to make a judgement against some of the other people on the board about their gaming choices because it's not Nintendo. You talk about low prices, of course it's low, nobody wants to buy it. Good hardware...Gamecube came out last, and still has the worst hardware of the three, and I have no doubt Revolution will be the same...I mean, have you seen the control? WTF?
  5. I'm sorry, but I don't think it would have been a good idea had they made two films out of the book. We saw how well that worked with The Matrix 2 & 3. Some people had a hard enough time getting through the three hours plus of this one, I'm pretty sure not many would want to sit through a second half. Anyway, I thought this was the best so far. Quite complaining, they have to cut a lot of stuff. They've cut stuff from all of them. Go read the damn books again if you don't like what they cut.

  14. Thanks all for the feedback, that had been bothering me for awhile.
  15. I don't know about that one, the movie hasn't even been made yet. But, anywho... City Slickers
  16. In the song, there's a line that says... 'they don't like that much, cause it's called Formosa' Does anyone know what this means? I searched Encarta, and the only thing I can find is that it's related to Taiwan somehow, which obviously fits the song, but I can't find the actually definition.

  21. I have to completely agree with Sparg. You don't see movies anymore were it can be engrossing without being over the top violent.

  24. I enjoyed it as well. My complaint is about the reviews I've read. Some of the reviews say it's too slow and a war movie needs to have more action, and to that I say...it's a god damn true story. The main character was actually there. If they're playing football out in the middle of the Iraqi desert in the movie, then they actually played football in the middle of the Iraqi desert. I thought it was great insight into the whole war spectrum. From what I remember about that war, there wasn't much fighting, which is what the movie portrays.
