I, for one, would like them to stop naming their songs after California. I mean, enough is enough.

Actually, a few get me totally going. Any song that has a guitar solo will totally pump me up. I love the one in Change of Season, also the tiny one at the end of We're So Heavy and the twangy one on Blue Skies Over Badlands. But I'll blast Born to Kill anytime. Not the one off Lo-fi B-Sides, but the one off Beautiful Midnight. The ending when it goes totally crazy and then just stops. Amazing.

American Me

Right now I'm watching Fritz Lang's 'M'. The camera work for a film that old is just amazing. I haven't seen many films old than this (1931), but most of the camera work and editing would had to have been very innovative for the time. As for the story itself, it's put me to sleep twice now, and I can't get through the film. I think it's the subtitles, because I've never been able to get through movies with them.

With a G license, you can have alcohol in the vehicle? With any license, that doesn't sound like a good idea. Here in California, they'll pull you over if you have an unopened bottle of liquor / beer in the backseat. Not like I'd ever drink and drive though, I just find it funny you can have a license that will let you do that.

That film is genius. Fucking genius. That was one amazing script, and great acting as well. I'm just anxious to see what Richard Kelly will do with his next film, Southland Tales.
