sooo.......

My Christmas presents were pretty sweet.

The boyfriend - a gift card for the movie theater (where we first met because we worked there), Mystical perfume and a white gold necklace with a circle pendent with little diamonds around it. The necklace is very pretty and WAY more than I expected.

His parents - a cookbook and some thinsations.

My grandparents - pjs and socks

His gram - a hand-knitted scarf

My Dad - some cash and chocolate.

Definitely a 10/10

I got gift certificates gallore and today I used my Future Shop one to buy Live Fast, Die Never and Orgazmo.

I agree, 'cos it's like they're saying; "We don't trust you with money, so we're going to limit you to this one place to buy things at."

Though, I always approve of Electronics/Record store gift certificates, because my family should never buy me music. Yanni's Greatest Hits has no place in my record collection.

If people give gift certificates, they should just give money instead.

I asked for gift certificates for a videogame store. I'm satisfied.

I had a card waiting for me at work today. One of the pharmacists gave me $100! She is really nice and is always doing nice stuff like that. When my Mom died she gave me $50 cash and a $100 gift card for the grocery store. She also transfered some Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum points to me so I could buy a digital camera. She is just so nice.

As an aside, I didn't know that when a parent dies, people give you money. It's like some strange consolation prize. People gave me monetary gifts and said to buy something that when I looked at it, it would make me smile.

Money is a shy person's hug, I guess. They just wanted to help somehow, and often people don't know what to do, so best thing to do is resort to something makes everyone happy in most cirumstances. Gifts.

My dad acts like a chinese-filipino William Shatner and says things like

"Stiff Shick" (Stick Shift) and "Mawn Lower" (Lawn Mower)

and expects us not to laugh at him.

Tracy isn't Chinese. What kind of Chinese name is "Tracy"? That'd be like a black guy being named Charles or a German guy being named Tim. that just doesn't make sence.
