When I was 10, on this flight to L.A. I asked the stewardess for a pop, and she had no idea whatsoever what I was saying. I asked her about five times before my dad said "He means a soda".

And why can't Americans call toques by their real name? Knitted cap? What kind of bullshit is that?

Couch. Calling it a sofa is the equivalent of calling pop "soda". It's just lame.

I call it soda pop and people laugh at me ;)

Do you also call cars "vehicles" or "automobiles"?

My fake name is "Ass Rammer." Because if anyone ever found out my fake name, they'd be too ashamed to ask people if they know an Ass Rammer.

Not the Turkish Ottomans, the footy ones that make it look so contemporary cosy in here.
