  1. Hahaha Well I eat a diet extremely high in fiber, so I'm like fucking clockwork. For guys, mainly: the Power Rangers are real and want you to join them. Only problem? You have to be the pink one: do you do it?
  2. Nothing, actually, except maybe laundry and dishes. I'm all prepped for the lecture I'm giving on Monday, and am getting over the flu so I'm just chillin` until it's time to go to work tonight. What's your favourite band you've discovered in 2010?
  3. Yup. Two of them actually, if we're talking about romantic, non-family love. Sadly, none at this particular moment. Have you ever been arrested?
  4. I'd say Prof X, but I don't want to be crippled. Jean Gray maybe? Psychic and telekinetic powers, and I'd have a nice rack to play with. Or the easy answer of Superman, cuz he can do anything. What was your last meal?
  5. Fucking badass. And Anton, I agree: it's nice to hear some half-unique drumming after Vancouver.
  6. I'm a big Wilco fan. Their s/t cracked my top 10 list of albums from last year, and some of my favourites by them are Theologians, You Are My Face, Hate It Here, and One Wing.
  7. The X-Men, obviously. Maybe my fav superhero franchise period. The idea to support a whole cast of extraordinary characters by just saying "hey! they're mutants!" rather than having to think up some gamma ray, cosmic ray, radioactive spider bite, alien symbiote explanation is one of the most brilliant and revolutionary ideas in the medium IMO. Favourite X-Men character?
  8. Me on top with her legs over my shoulders. Do you read Pitchfork?
  9. Limelight I think. Favourite musical instrument?
  10. Trick question. The most boring I've undoubtedly forgotten, so it'd be the most boring I RECALL hearing, which probably isn't really that boring. But I'll say a lot of pop rock for its complete and utter predictability, and a lot of post-rock for its insanely masturbatory 3 minutes of near silence intros. What was the last rumor you've heard that you doubted the validity of?
  11. Books I've finished in the last month or so: Fitzgerald's Tender Is the Night. Not as good as The Great Gatsby, but still solid. Slow in places, but the ending is fantastic (as is often the case with the 'classics.') Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time. Educational, enlightening, and accessable. Nothing went "over my head" so to speak, and I actually feel like I have a slightly better grasp on Quantum theory now, which is one of my main areas of curiosity outside of my studied fields. Richard Dawkins: The God Delusion and A Devil's Chaplain. Both convincing, well-measured, and compelling. Dawkins is definitely one of my favourite authors ever and his scientific insight and positioning on societal issues speaks to me very closely. These two are books to treasure. And I'm 80% done Nobokov's Lolita. SO fantastic. It's creepy, touching, and makes you question the reality of 'love.' There are so many passages that just make your heart ache with romance and affection...and then you realize they're written by an old man to a 14 year old and it really fucks with you.
  12. Man, I remember the days of being broke as hell. Sucks ;)
  13. Really? Didn't you make a big annoucnement last time, for what amounted to 2 weeks? Charles: Good call. Had some naughty shower time this morning, and I accidentally pulled off the girl's curtain rod haha. We repaired it and all was well in the end though. My favourite spice is likely Montreal steak spice. You can put that shit on anything. For sweets, I really like cinnamon, and often smother my PB toast in it. How much are you keeping up with the Olympics?
  14. BURN. But I enjoyed it.
  15. iPod, I don't even own a CD player anymore. What is this, the stone age? What are your thoughts on concept albums?
  16. A really odd one about some random girl I went on one date with 3 years ago. And I actually smiled at your Dave Matthews Band joke. If you had to describe your current mood as a specialty coffee drink, what would it be and why?
  17. I'll give you $5 for Loser Anthems and can meet you anywhere on Bloor-Danforth. I'll even buy you a coffee. AT STARBUCKS
  18. Talladega Nights with the girlfriend. HORRIBLE. Between Monday and Thursday, which is your favourite day of the week?
  19. That looks far too detailed to still look good when compressed to toonie size... As for the ankle, it might work, but you already have a foot tattoo. Maybe near the back of your shoulder? Or your calf?
  20. Off to the left: accidental baldness. Trip hop or hip hop?
  21. I've only drank Red Bull, but I'd say Spike (I think it's only available in the States) because I'm a big fan of the company that produces it. Who can you always rely on?
  22. Demitri Martin, George Carlin. What was the last mentally stimulating thing you did?
  23. Wow. I had to stop after 1:30. Boring and wholly unfunny. I can't remember the last time I was at the Dr (which is definitely a good thing.) Probably last year when I was having issues with asthma from living with a dog. What's your favourite cereal?
  24. Barenaked Ladies, with Land of Talk as a close second. Sexual Healing: awesome tune, or overdone?
  25. Love the instrumentation of I Once Saw a Magician, and Set Me on Fire takes too long to wind up and reminds me a lot of Silent Army In the Trees. When it does get started though, it's good, but I think I like Magician more for it's unique instrumentation. Both awesome tracks though!
