  1. Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Lots of people really didn't like this album, apparently, but I totally dug it. I listened to Spitting Venom nonstop for a period of time, which I now refer to as the greatest time of my life, replacing the time as a child that my sister and I were allowed to go behind the counter and dip our own doughnuts in sprinkles at Robin's Doughnuts. In hindsight, I'd have called the health inspector shortly thereafter.
  2. CBC for news, CTV for fake news at midnight. Who's going to win the World Series this year?
  3. That's positive thinking! Cheers, Grizz
  4. For the record, I LOVE the 1-2 punch that 2+2=5 and Sit down/Stand Up delivers at the start of Hail to the Thief. Might be the strongest start to a Radiohead album yet. Cheers, Grizz

    Face Off

While We Were Hunting Rabbits Blue Skies Over Badlands I really enjoyed the movie faceoff, as a sidenote. Cheers, Grizz
  6. I think it would have to be Dusk. The way it builds at the end is just fantastic. Cheers, Grizz
  7. If you're not going for the concerts, K-Days su-ucks. I had the worst day there last year, the only thing that came close to saving it was the Sweatshop/Swollen double bill. Cheers, Grizz
  8. Man, I was so into Lateralus right from the get go. It does have a vastly different feel than Aenima, which is probably good, since it's a different album. Albums notwithstanding, one of my favourite songs that I was mad disappointed with when I first heard it was Pyramid Song by Radiohead. I didn't get that one until about the third listen. Cheers, Grizz
  9. Just browsing the sonic 102.9 site, and I came across this pic of the Foo Fighters in T.O. If I'm not mistaken, that is the Gibson Dale Earnhardt Jr. guitar that both Grohl and Matt received from Dale, isn't it? Cheers, Grizz
  10. I don't really care for coffee. Cheers, Grizz
  11. Big? I'm not checking all those past threads to see if I'm repeating. Cheers, Grizz
  12. Backwards is relative, of course. Not to say that I think Anne Coulter is brilliant, she just seems to always be talking the loudest. It was actually a good point she made on Leno about the Democrats not making enough noise. That might just be the character trait that separates Democrats from Republicans, but I'm not so sure that's the case. Cheers, Grizz
  13. A PDF file? Those suckers crash my computer. You got any bullet points handy? Cheers, Grizz
  14. Not as good as Red vs Blue. Cheers, Grizz
  15. Wasn't that the band that did the Clone High theme? And for another band name....W9 p9t n9n9's 9n pl9c9 9f 9ll 99r v9w9ls. Cheers, Grizz
  16. No time to edit, just carry on. I like your style. Cheers, Grizz
  17. System rules the school. They're cool. If you don't like them, you're a fool. Sometimes when I listen, I tend to drool. They're music is so good, it could resurrect Brenner from the dead....you know, Yul. Cheers, Grizz
  18. I hope they cast well for the birds. It takes range to play a role like that. Cheers, Grizz
  19. You won't be saying that when the quota is filled and stuff just starts randomly floating around. Cheers, Grizz

    1999

It was on that CFOX compilation a while back. At least, I think CFOX was the name of the radio station in Vancouver. I don't live there. Perhaps you do, and therefore should have known the answer. Cheers, Grizz
  21. Is it gimmick? Cheers, Grizz
  22. Nice. Calgary on my birthday just as I move back home. This is going to be sweet. Cheers, Grizz
  23. Walken was always good when he was on that show, I don't know why. I always liked the Census sketch way better than the Blue Oyster Cult one, but either way. And Norm on SNL was the best. I don't know how that guy got fired for not being funny, though I guess my vote only counts for so much...for now. NORM: A recent study shows that women drivers are not in fact likely to get in more automobile accidents than men. Please note that the numbers on this chart do not add up to 100, the math was done by a woman. (Crowd boos) NORM: That joke was actually written BY a woman. (Silence) NORM: Yeah, so now you don't know what the hell to do. (Norm turns to the next camera as the onscreen graphic changes to match the next story) NORM: Nah, just kidding, we don't hire women here. Cheers, Grizz
  24. I haven't watched in a long time. Donna's hair colour changed last I saw. And two of the show's biggest stars are leaving? That can't spell long term success for the show, though if you see Grace in Traffic, you wonder why he's been on 70's as long as he has. Cheers, Grizz
  25. Finally saw it myself (and by that I mean I saw it three weeks ago), and I agree with what was said earlier. The non-actors (Rock/Dre) were the best part. It made me think acting wasn't really that hard. Then I saw Steven Tyler fail at playing himself. Oh well... Cheers, Grizz
