  1. I recognized conventional instruments such as the deep freeze and stove, but what was up with that wooden thing with the cables on it? Cheers, Grizz
  2. I see this as being one of those shows that's too good to last on the air for very long. Cheers, Grizz
  3. New Noise is definitely my favourite performance-style music video of all time. And I prefer Reproduction of Death to Smash it Up, though both are pretty cool vids. Cheers, Grizz
  4. This might be the most fun I'll have all day. ... Yep. Cheers, Grizz
  5. I really enjoyed the Dears when I saw them open for Matt in 2003 at the Joint in Edmonton. Equally impressive was seeing them unload their own equipment from the van they travelled to the show in. Now THAT'S rock and roll. Cheers, Grizz
  6. Which one had Chris Farley as a ninja? Seriously though, I can't remember the plots for either, but I think Black Sheep was the one with Rob Lowe, so I guess that's the one I'll pick. Cheers, Grizz
  7. Has anyone ever seen that movie "The Wrong Guy" with Dave Foley and Jennifer Tilly? Now THAT'S a funny movie. "You're awake?" "Yeah, for a while now." "I've been carrying you!" "I thought you wanted to." Cheers, Grizz
  8. Ah yes, I forgot about that one. Wasn't Jeff Martin doing backup vocals on that sucker too? Cheers, Grizz
  9. Does anybody have a means to get that Dragostea Din Tei song by Ozone from the "Fat Dutch Kid" video that everyone's likely seen on the internet? Throw me a bone people. Cheers, Grizz
  10. It's been like two months since Christmas. I should probably take the cellophane wrapping off of it. Cheers, Grizz
  11. It's funny, I was thinking about the Matt Good/Age of Electric connection, since we've seen both forms of the band that split into their own bands (Todd Kerns-Static In Stereo, Dahle-Limblifter) do work with Matt (Todd backing vocals on Born to Kill, Dahle very recently). Yep, that's all I got. Cheers, Grizz
  12. "Music for bedwetters." I really hope HMV adds that category in their stores. Cheers, Grizz
  13. The thing I remember most about meeting Matt is actually how lots of other people meeting Matt for the first time were acting. You could tell some people were just going nuts over the idea of meeting their musical idol. Matt's my favourite singer/songwriter by far, but I can't say that the whole meeting a celebrity thing is something I get worked up about. Just a chance to quickly say that I appreciated his work, and that was that. There really wasn't much to the meet and greet (not that I expected there to be), so I couldn't really say what he was like. From personal experience, he has been pleasant for at leat 10.35 seconds of his life. That's about all the information I'm qualified to give on the subject. Cheers, Grizz
  14. Is there any release date for the DVD yet? Cheers, Grizz
  15. Quantam Leap. Now THERE'S a show I can pretend to get behind and stop watching after the pilot. Cheers, Grizz
  16. If you've ever lived on the Prairies, chances are you get that show. I don't know what it's like if you've grown up in Toronto your whole life, but I'm sure at least some things still apply. Cheers, Grizz
  17. Given that I've only seen the trailer, I'm not sure what to expect from Be Cool, but I'm looking forward to it. Is it just going to be Get Shorty II, or do you think it will be able to stand on its own? Cheers, Grizz
  18. You'll all look pretty stupid when it wins the Oscar. But not as stupid as I look now. Cheers, Grizz
  19. Ah, understood. On the plus side, new Tool. Cheers, Grizz
  20. I swear I saw a conversation about this movie somewhere else, but I probably just made it up, so let me add that this is definitely in my top 5 as far as favourite movies. John Cusack does miserable really, really well. Cheers, Grizz
  21. As far as a movie that just looks like it will be fun (probably not much more, but fun nonetheless), I'm looking forward to Be Cool. Cheers, Grizz
  22. I thought I heard some rumblings of a new album by A Perfect Circle in the works, or is it just because there's a new song on the soundtrack for the new Keanu Reeves movie? Cheers, Grizz
  23. I think "South Park is Gay" was my favourite, mostly because of the line "tastes like crab, walks like people" in the crabpeople song. Cheers, Grizz
  24. I remember Big Wreck doing a really cool cover of Immigrant Song back in 2001. I just brought that up as an excuse for me to post this again: http://www.dennyweb.com/viking_kittens.htm Cheers, Grizz
  25. I'd have to give the nod to Henhouse for my fav as well, though the live version of New Orleans is sinking is definitely my favourite track, just because of one word: killerwhaletank-uh! Cheers, Grizz
