  1. He closed the Canada Day show at Richards with the song. Said something along the lines of them rarely playing it live and Pat wanting to play it.
  2. it's actually Ockham (or Occam), not Hokem. And in the most simple form of Occams Razor, it means "the simplist explanation is usually the best" or "keep it simple" or something along the lines of simplicity. I'll leave it to you guys to take note of the irony of Cavalier describing it in a confusing manner. ;)
  3. I could be wrong, but I think Bad Idea was released at the same time as Been A While. They were both released to different radio stations, depending on the format of the station.
  4. I used to be quite the opposite of sodamntired, in the sense that I only bought CDs that I knew I would like. So when I heard all the singles on The Fox, from Seeds to Underdogs, I didn't buy any of the CDs despite really liking the songs. But when Beautiful Midnight rolled around, I was much more lax in my CD buying policies, and picked it up. I fell in love from there.
  5. Well, i HAD all the CDs (except Lo-Fi) but they've been since stolen, so now I have everything except for Lo-Fi, Loser Anthems & Avalanche. Though I still have the cases for LA, the lyric book with AoB and the pre-signed deal for Avalanche. I also have the History Teacher and (i think) all the b-sides on my computer. Aside from that, I have the Avalanche tour t-shirt (cd art on front), the RCAF-looking MG shirt, the amnesty soccer jersey, and At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say.
  6. Agreed.8 I opened this thread with the sole purpose of saying that Wil is the best live act I've seen. He played damn near 4 hours, and broke 3 different strings on his guitar. Crazy. I also agree with matthew good, green day and big sugar.
  7. these are probably obvious and already asked, but: -Do you plan on doing anything further with jack pillowhead, or just the current free releases? -Are there any plans for a live or a b-sides album? Or perhaps a double live AND b-sides ablum? -If you could pick 3 band to tour with, who would they be? (or alternately, what bands are you into right now?)
  8. Well that blows. I figured tickets would go fast, especially at $25 a pop. I knew I should have picked some up this morning.
  9. I was at the Canada Day show in Vancouver, so I would have to say that. In fact, the pictures from that show on this site are mine.
  10. I just got a new phone and can send ringtones to it via bluetooth. However, I can't seem to find any matthew good and/or band midis, anyone know where I can get some? I even tried to make Running For Home with some sort of midi making program... it sounds.... decent, but I'd prefer something better.
  11. I passed on going to the new years show in Vancouver because I was too weary to venture into downtown and only after did I find out Pat was drumming. I'm still kicking myself. Especially since there's a bunch of new BC dates, but none here in Vancouver. I saw him live three times last year and can't wait to see him again.
  12. Running for Home, but it was hard to not vote for Born to Kill, Strange Days or Suburbia
  13. Fearless. Gotta be Fearless.
