What does that have to do with david usher? David Usher was the lead singer of Moist... People have told me they can't see it work, but I would love to see what the combination of Matthew Good & Sigur R

Ah, gotcha. Just cos he was talking about sex tapes when the guy yelled Bad Idea, so I just assumed. And don't forget the Rico guy, who kept yelling for him to play Rico. Even after Matt flat out said no.

Mens shirts had the guitar/compass/thing on the back, while womens on the front. I think...
-
Was that the guy that "challenged" him to '...Bad Idea'?

Did anyone else notice the small sign on the way in stating that the show was being recorded for the artist? Anyone know anything about that?

I loved the disco ball and the effect it created, but I hated the random light that shone into the audience a few times near the end. It made my eyes bleed. That setlist looks about right, too. To try and better chronolize it, the last two songs before the "encore" were Avalanche then Apparitions. Then the encore started with The Fine Art of Falling Apart then Alert Status Red. I tried to keep track of the setlist on my cellphone, but I failed miserably.

I've always thought that the whole 'no cameras/recording devices' is pretty lax. I've never been checked for cameras. Ever.
-
Since I couldn't vote Strange Days, I went with Weapon. But it was a close second for that, Future, Apparitions and Carmelina.

He is? When did this happen? Lucky SOB...

Go here for some pictures of the venue. Looks pretty damn small (read: intimate) to me! And looking at the tech specs, it has anywhere from 250-380 seats, depending on the size of the stage.

I, too, will be at the Friday show. And, so, I take it that this will be some form of festival seating, yes? This worries me, as I don't know how early I'll be able to get there... Though from what I've heard, the place holds, like, 28 people, so I'm sure any seat will be a good seat.

Somewhere on my computer, I have a short clip of Matt covering Uncle Fucker from the South Park movie. He only does 30 seconds of it, and it's pretty bad quality, though.
-
I agree; it was an awesome show. Hearing Suburbia, The Rat Who Would Be King and especially Prime Time Deliverance made my life. On another note, does anyone remember the setlist offhand? I have a horrible memory for that kind of thing, and maybe i'm blind, but I can't seem to find the show archive on the newly designed MG.org...

i'll be there tonight, too.
-
i, too, will be there.

I get the exact same way. The very first time I was listening to Rooms, I literally had to stop what I was doing when I heard the line.

So, can I wear t-shirts from other bands to concerts? Like, would I be "allowed" to wear a Sigur R

A Boy and His Machine Gun is already a pretty powerful song... hearing it acoustic would be amazing. though, if he played Heather's Like Sunday or Whispering In The Dark live, i think i would orgasm on the spot.

I always thought it was "Oooh you're a softy little monkey boy". Which would make sense....cause yeah, matt had (has) an obsession with his monkeys. It is. He changed it to bunny because there's a bunny. i thought it was "you're a saucy little monkey boy" i always thought it was 'naughty little monkey boy' (ahhh, too much quoting!)
-
unless i'm mistaken, the actual History Teacher cd was some sort of illegal release by some guy that wasn't Matt, and he fought having it released or something. best bet would be to, as everyone else has said, download them.

is it just the demos? or is bontempo there, too?

Every time I've been to a show at the Commodore, I've been IDed. And I most certainly do not look under 19. Though I've never seen them use the scanner, so who knows about that. I've only ever seen that at one place I've been to. Granted, I don't go "clubbing" very often...

Oh Be Jyoful! Is On The Radio Right Now
gala_pope replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Matthew Good
I've heard it on CFOX quite a few times actually. Ah. I see. That's probably because I listen to the fox for, maybe, 20 minutes a day... -

It's been on The Zone (91.3) since about two weeks after it was released on his site. Still have yet to hear it on The Fox, though, which is weird.
