  1. well we used to in new york...until like a year or two ago...then it began FUSE..which is like MTV junior...its even shot live in NYC. But yeah we had MM and it was aired from canada and everything...ed the sock...rick the temp...i rmeber all that shit. That channel was how I got hooked on MGB, the hip, OLP, i mother earth, rusty, and about a million other bands that made my friends think i was just making up bands. I had a radio show in colege and would spin all these guys cds. Trying to spread the music.
  2. damn i wish i did that...maple press took forever..and i had the first class shipping...
  3. i heard old modest mouse stuff before and hated it...still kind of do. I have Sirius and they were playing some of the other tracks, not just float on, so i kind of got an album preview that way..purchased..and i must say i am pleasantly surprised.
  4. american fan...heard symbolistic white walls from someone a long time ago...loved it, but had no access to anything else, until i was watching muchmusic oneday and saw everything is automatic...been hooked since.
  5. yeah i agree with sammy in that every song means something different to everyone...as it should. and i'm not a huge 'delve into the meaning of a song' type guy...i was just wondering if buffalo seven was a term or definition that i was unaware of. thank you for the help...both of your ideas sound great.
  6. I think the song and "Folk Singer" and "Heather's Like Sunday" are very underated songs from his early stage. I could pick a ton more, but being an American based fan...down here everything he does is pretty much ignored or underrated.
  7. hey can anyone explain to me what 'buffalo seven' is or what it means? I feel kinda dumb for asking but I just can't figure it out. I appreciate the help.

    manifestos

Where can I find these? And also there was a story that was broken into two part about this kid milton...it was really good but i never found where the other half of the story was. any ideas?
  10. what about some U2? or perhaps some stones? or even Guster? all quality driving tunes.
  11. are u serious? the tea party was cool...but not if he's with them...ugh but let me just say that finally creed is gone...my "make creed go away" raindance has finally paid off
  12. keeping with this acoustic topic.....would anybody else be blown away if MG did an acoustic concert..sort of an mtv unlpugged type gig with a full orchestra and what not. I think that would probably the musical highlight of the world.
  13. I think he'll keep his formula of success....he'll mix in the rock with the mellowish music...the best part about that formula is he is never re-hashing anything and always bringing something new to the table.
  14. even if he ever gets dropped..he's the type that won't stop making music or speaking his mind so he'll stay around for a looooooonnnng while.
  15. did anybody like the video? i thought it was friggin great
  16. fearless most definitely....or indestructible because that song hooked my interest to MG.
  17. oh my bad...i didn't mean this site...i was refering to puretracks.com...my mistake

    Matt live

tahts the problem....kazaa is easier to use, but even easier to corrupt your computer. Viruses, pop-ups, adverstisements, etc. are all fed through Kazaa, and kazaa is full of a lot of false files, corrupted tracks. Plus everyones usage rankings and download speeds are so different that it is in fact a pain. Plus fidning someone with a demo or live MG song is much ahrder then finidng one of his singles. I think the hub idea is great and i'm gonna try it soon.

    demos

i have a few including heather's like sunday...but some of them are in really bad shape like south of summer and entresol...i'd buy them if i could only find them.
  20. hey i'm new on this site and a long time MG fan. Being an american i can't get puretracks so i'm working on the 30 post rule, however can someone explain the logic of posting his songs on a candian only website? If the point is to build a bigger fan base, why restrict anyone from hearing his music? just curious thats all.
  21. i think the video was well done and the columbine footage wasn't really used for any 'shock' value so its not tasteless. Being that I live in the US i'm grateful he put it online because otherwise i would never have seen it. Anyone know who the drummer and guitarist are in this video?
