  1. Springsteen made "Atlantic City" with just himself and a four track and it's one of his best songs. I'd be interested to see what MG could do. Actually i'd be interested in any recording he does, but that goes without saying.
  2. I can whistle ;)
  3. MG & Jason Ross from 7 Mary 3.
  4. Amen to that. Both the original and Beck's version are fantastic. One of my favorite songs ever soon to be done by one of my favorite artists ever.
  5. Hello Timebomb from Rooms was pretty sweet.
  6. i would most def. like to hear what you got.
  7. this is awesome, thanks!
  8. good work on "throw away"...do you have any original songs we could listen to? Not being sarcastic, just curious.
  9. On the podcast: Nothing seems to be going right for the narrator, so maybe it's like a "when it rains, it pours" situation, that Matt is venting based on whats currently happening in his life.
  10. Foxtrot is an amazing album, not only because of how it sounds (one of my top 10 albums all time easily) but the background story of what it took to get made. Tweedy basically did what every artist would want to do but none have the courage and told the label to back off and made the album he wanted.
  11. I've seem them live and yeah, if you're looking for a dynamic voice....it ain't there live. Kind of disappointing. But they do play with amazing energy.
  12. I think it's great. Huge Filter and STP fan, so whats not to like? It's not the greatest but it ain't bad.
  13. Worldwide Suicide sucks...and i feel evil for saying that.
  14. Guillemots - Trains in Brazil
  15. This is a pretty ingenious idea. It def. is a time killer at least.
  16. top 5 ever? impossible...but here's off the top of my head: MGB - Fearless Pearl Jam - Wishlist Tragically Hip - Ahead by a Century 7 Mary 3 - Times Like These Joe Strummer - Johnny Appleseed
  17. 7 Mary 3's "Rock Crown", Death Cab's "Transatlanticism", and any Tragically Hip album are good driving tunes.
  18. 7 Mary 3 - Rock Crown MGB - Underdogs Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Radiohead - The Bends U2 - Joshua Tree U2 - Achtung Baby Pearl Jam - No Code The Postal Service - Give Up The Clash - The Essential Clash Our Lady Peace - Naveed
  19. solid album indeed. I like how they didn't try and recreate what they did on Bleed...they really are just a band who wants to experiment and grow...and this CD was refreshing in that attempt.
  20. yeah but U2's greatest hits (and non-hits) are actually good songs that will withstand the test of time.
  21. Longwave-Wake me when its over
  22. Garden State and Napoleon Dynamite
