    DVD

    i'd sign..mos def.
  2. yeah i see your point. they might have shown up to the studio and were kinda peeved they weren't getting a say. kind of sucks that way. but artists are like that....they have a vision and need to let it loose. too bad the band broke up, but i mean if they didn't we wouldn't have avalanche and wlrr....and audio of being wouldn't be that amazing possibly. i wonder what really happened though. i hope browne and genn are doing awesome though. Here's a question...does priske have a say in anything...are he and matt buddies? or he just the typical bass player?
  3. hopefully some of you guys well record that and digitize for us deprived americans.

    the vso

yeah i'm on board with this idea. It would be like that metallica s&m thing....but a million times better
  5. so how would one find out the actual amount of total records sold? and does anyone know how many records matt's other albums have sold?
  6. speaking of b-sides i really dig comfortable criminals..which album was that left off of?
  7. thanks for the info...any of you guys on the hub have any music by the aforementioned bands? i'd check but i'm at work right now.
  8. air guitar...air drums...learning the air piano as i post.
  9. i didn't mean they were the same type of music in a negative way...i meant that if i hear a song with maynard singing i really could care less which band it is because the music is always going to fit his voice well....its a going to be deep, heavy, music. thats all.
  10. so in the late nineties i was very into the canadian music scene with like rusty, the hip, the sandbox, headstones, i mother earth, moist, econoline crush, even chantal kreviachuk....anybody now the scoop on these bands...i know i'm forgetting a shitload of bands i dug from my muchmusic days soi'll prob. be asking a question like this again.
  11. personal tastes and preferences are always a good thing...who cares what anyone else thinks.

    DVD

a full blown dvd would be amazing...i would just like to see and hear him live. Some great music dvds are Pearl Jam live at Madison Square Garden, Guster Live on ice, Coldplay Live, and Jimmy eat world live.
  13. this show is awesome. we get here in the states on teh gameshow network..i think...or is it FX...regardless its a great show. So easy to produce too. i love the one where they are handcuffed together. these two guys are two of the strangest guys i've ever seen.
  14. tool...perfect circle...same difference...same high quality rock.
  15. i'll say shania twain would be my favorite female solo artist....that i would want naked in my bed..i hate her music but shes way hot.

    concerts

too bad my only chances of seeing MG would require me to go all the way up to Canada...not exactly the cheapest concert experience ;)
  17. yeah i'd say its one of the best songs on the album...its makes the drive home from work fly by.
  18. well i do remeber when beautiful midnight came out...M2 would play it along with radio stations..(hell i even found in a college bars jukebox)...but its never really marketed right. Beautiful midnight wa svery much a radio friendly cd as well as underdogs...but i just don't think it was pushed heavily or marketed right. Truth of the matter is that yes in fact a lot canadian bands do get respect down here in the US...even though you may hate those bands that come down here...like nickelback or OLP. Both those bands are consdiered sellouts...but they have gotten bigger down here. i mean big wreck was a million times more of a hit than MG was...i really think it has to do with the marketing.Maybe Matt should try getting some songs on movie soundtracks...attach himself to some ads...i know that may not sound like the greatest idea...but his fan base could grow that way...
  19. i really don't look at the music before the breakup or after it in a compare and contrast fashion. I just listen...sure there significant differences...but even he's not singing you just know its a matt good song...they all have that feel to them. Am I still wishing for something that souns like it would have been on underdogs or lotga, sure sinc ethats what hooked me...but like matt and other artists my music tastes have changed with age..it just so happens that his changes have been blowing me away and leaving me wanting more.
  20. "What if you could make it so that times weren’t tough? So every morning when the world woke up There’d only be weather on the news."
  21. appreciate the help with the milton hadley story. thanks guys. Yeah i'd say night opus is the best one (most people would agree) or the one with the girl who dies in the hot tub full of jello. And also the one story about the guy who becomes a hitman. anyways...great stuff.
  22. yes thank god for the internet...or else i'd be dying for good quality music.
  23. can anyone post..or direct to me the story he wrote about milton hadley and the two sisters who keep trying to kill each other...i read the first part...no idea where to find the second part, and i don't have the book.
  24. M2 is a great channel...no annoying vj crap..just music. if i could send u those channels i would ;) I think they got rid of MM because they wanted an 'american' channel and one to compete directly with MTV...they do play more variety and lesser known bands...but they are just cheesy...like mtv has TRL...FUSE has IMX...its exactly the same thing. FUSE's studios are in NYC, but like exactly like MM's studio did. no one is original anymore.
  25. anyone know how well WLRR is selling? like any official numbers. i know no one cares...but i figure the more matt sells....well the more releases we could see.
